We are a retired couple. We have been in Florida for 10 years. We currently live farther south in Punta Gorda in another canal community on Charlotte Harbor. Our residence is in a rural location. We chose this house because it has a mother in law suite and the main house. It is in an area with many attractions and near a large city. We can be as busy or laid back depending on our daily desires. Just a great place to be.
Richard or Anna Johnson purchased this house in 2013
Florida is a great place to retire or to come for vacation. If you live here you can be on vacation full time. This property is centrally located to all that we need, many different activities are available. The house is on a canal that goes into the Bay. There is a neighbor next door with the back of the house facing the canal. Then the lot next to us also belongs to us this gives a secluded feeling to the property. When I say retire it just means we no longer punch a time clock, but we are still active.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the Johnson's home. Everything was more than what was expected. We would gladly recommend this property to our friends and relatives. We spent most of our time away from the property and did not take advantage of the activities and attractions around the property.
We met Anna when we arrived in the house. From the moment we met, I knew she was a person you can trust. She is very sweet, welcoming, always available by phone or text, making sure all was ready for us. The house was clean and very 'homey', just what we needed while waiting for our own house to be ready. It is located in a walking distance from groceries stores, fast food restaurants like domino's, subway, chinese rest. seafood rest.etc. gas stations, etc., in a quiet neighborhood. Also, minutes from I-75 & US 41, which make it very convenient to move around. The house is very spacious, as it was listed, with a nice size patio, yard, where you can sit to relax and enjoy the sunset. There is even a drive-in close by, featuring new release movies for a reasonable price. If you are in the area and need a place to stay, close to the beach or bay area, but away from the 'city like' environment, this can be your place, we recommend it.

I was very happy with the house. Everything worked perfectly well and the hosts were extraordinarily friendly. I can recommend the house without any restrictions. Everybody should feel very well when being a resident.
We all enjoyed our stay very much. The house was well equipped (kitchen and laundry) with a lot of nice touches and it was well stocked. It was clean and in very good condition. Location was very convenient to major roadways but was quiet. Owners were very easy to work with and responsive to last minute calls. Very good value. The only issue that we had was that we were not aware that this property had 2 rental units. We later learned that we rented the main house but there was another "mother in law suite" unit at the garage end that was rented to another tenant. It caused some awkward moments with the other tenants when we mistook them for the cleaning crew. They were pleasant and didn't cause any problems with our stay but it was a little embarrassing. We recommend that the landlords note that the house has 2 rental units for future renters.
The owner, Anna, works very hard to keep her 2-bedroom/2-bathroom rental home very clean and comfortable for renters. The house is immaculate, with a linen closet filled with thick, fluffy towels, oodles of hangars in the closets, a garment rack next to the dryer to hang up perma-press, plenty of silverware, dishes, glasses and cups. All the appliances WORK. Coffeepot looks brand new. Garbage disposal IS new. The sofa and two recliners in the front room are very comfortable for watching TV on the big HD TV screen. Everything is ready when you arrive for your vacation stay. One of the restaurants, Apollo's Bistro, 5-minutes away, serves tasty meals at affordable prices.
