Downtown Honolulu is Special

Downtown is downtown, so be prepared to wake up when the dumpster truck loads and backs up at 3:45 am. However, earplugs will help you out, and you can enjoy a not overly touristy area with quite a few great and not overpriced restaurants in walking distance. A downer are the many homeless people in the area, which remind you that the "paradise" has a few rough edges. The landlord should repair the shower door handle. Also, some lightbulbs were missing, and a towel rack was broken. The condo is clean and pleasant. You can park your car in the garage at the level of the condo. We would book it again.

Dated, tired condo in great location

Great location but dated condo...think visiting grandma in the 1960s. Desperately needs updating...the carpet, the fixtures, the uncomfortable mattress, the furniture...all of it. For instance, a Shower curtain on a tension rod was used to obscure the terribly stained/etched glass shower doors. Parking instructions were not good. Instructed to go to office to get parking card. However the parking office closes at 4pm, and when we arrived after that time, no one at concierge desk could help other than 'come back tomorrow' when the office opens. Calling the owner's answering service finally gave us the needed instructions for parking, but we wasted a lot of time. Would have been simple to include these instructions initially.

Good location

Slightly dated but clean and comfortable. I noticed a lot of street noise, but I am sensitive to that. Great for the price. Owner is super nice and responsive.

Clean and comfortable. Close to shopping and really good food!

The unit was more spacious than i thought it would be. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and then some. It is located in an easy to access part of downtown close to shopping and some really good must try restaurants. It is literally located above a Longs/Walgreens/Ross Dress for Less and Starbucks- there is an awesome donut shop across the street too. A short walk from all of the best places to eat in China Town, Iolani Palace, Straab Hospital and tons more! The comment where the bus can be heard from the bedroom is true as is the outside noise from downtown at night but i just got ear plugs and then i didnt hear a thing 🤣?. It felt safe too since the only way to get into the building is to take an escalator down to the bottom floor and then take elevators up to the rooms- the elevators are right next to the security desk so they are watching who is going up the elevators. Overall this was a great unit in an easily accessible downtown location. I will recommend to friends and family.

Condo was perfect. Great decor and view.

Great location to many activities and right by bus stops that we needed when not walking . This condo had everything we needed including beach towels and hair dryer.
