About the property

4,000 sq. ft. lodge with 6 bedrooms overlooking two intersecting rivers

The Sain Ranch is located in Southeastern Oklahoma just outside of Idabel and is known as The Bok-lawa Ranch to the local folks. Two rivers intersect in the ranch, the Mountain Fork River and Little River. The ranch consists of over 1,500 acres which is surrounded by National Forest. It is very secluded. A Federal Duck Refuge is trapped within the property. The 'ranch house' is a 3 story home (4,000 sq.ft.) with 6 bedrooms with a full bar and kitchen and wonderful decks to enjoy the scenery. Each bedroom has a Queen size bed but foldout couches are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor. I would say it would comfortably sleep 12 adults in rooms and numerous others if you just used the couches. This place is very spacious. The Mountain Fork River is known for its trout fishing above the damn and for its canoe trips below the damn. You can fish at the intersection of the two rivers just a short walk from the lodge and there are numerous trails on the property to hike and sightsee. You can also float the Mountain Fork river which would require a short drive to the rental companies.

We spent a wonderful weekend over spring break with our extended family of 19 people. The accommodations could not have better - lots of common areas, comfortable bedrooms and a very well stocked kitchen. The setting was beautiful. We loved relaxing on the patio which overlooked the Mountain Fork and Little River. We spent time by the river; it was shallow with gravel bottom so the kids enjoyed wading. The owners were very friendly and did everything to make our stay special. We would definitely come back! Thanks to the Sains for a very memorable weekend!

Awesome weekend

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is absolutely gorgeous. The owner she was great and very friendly.I was part of a group of 22 people.the cabin is very spacious and had plenty of room for everyone. You can see the Mountains Fork And Little River from the patio and sitting on the huge porch in the morning or evening was just so relaxing. This place has everything. Kitchen with dishwasher, coffee machine, pots, pans, plates and silverware - you only have to buy groceries. There are plenty of towels and bed sheets and even a washing machine and dryer plus an iron.

There are TV's in the rooms. We have WiFi .The cabin was very clean and we had absolutely no complaints. It's about 30 minutes from the next big supermarket. I wish we could have stayed longer! It was well worth it!

Just came back from a wonderful weekend with 22 friends, there was room to spare in the cabin for everyone! There was everything we could need for the stay. I felt more like a guess in someone's cabin than a renter. Highly recommended from everyone in my will love it!

Most Unique-Unlike Any Other

  • 5 of 5

Our blended family of 14 celebrated our Christmas at this most unique 3 story rustic lodge literally built into the side of a cliff on one side overlooking a running river on the other side. No need or comfort has been overlooked, the beds are great and plenty of hot water as well. All you need to take with you is your clothing, food, and definitely a camera. Everything else has been provided for you by the lovely, warm and inviting owners, the Sains. If you love the outdoors, wildlife, fishing, interesting rock formations or just remote solitude, this is the place for you. Each of our families are wanting to return. Not for very young children or people that have difficulty with stairs.

Large Group Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I was part of a group of 16 people who stayed at this wonderful place! I was delightfully surprised at the decor of each bedroom - all in a western theme, but each one different. The beds were comfortable, the a/c worked great, and it is a place set up for fun and relaxation. Having done a lot of cooking for large groups, I really appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was and how much counter space it has. I don't think we had even one problem, and we truly had a great time. Now for planning our next time......:)
