As a 3rd generation Charlottean, I'm happy to offer suggestions and recommendations to help you get the most from your stay. My partner and I have a pretty good pulse on what's happening around town, so please ask!
We thoroughly enjoy hosting guests in all of our residences, and will go out of our way to make you feel at home.
We furnish all of our residences with a mix of new, mid-century modern and antique furniture with original artwork--truly a home away from home. We travel extensively ourselves, so appreciate warm hospitality.

The location of our Hermitage Court building is unsurpassed in the entire city. It's in the heart of the nicest in-town neighborhood, Myers Park, on its best street, and the large lot offers tremendous privacy. Uptown is 5 minutes away, and there's easy access to interstates, hospitals and the airport. Lush pocket parks dot the neighborhood, and a multitude of restaurants are a short stroll away.
We jumped at the opportunity to purchase the building, since we were well aware of the wonderful street and neighborhood.
Needed a place to stay in Charlotte the week of my daughter's wedding. My requirements were for a place roomy enough for 2-4 people, nice enough to entertain family and friends, and homey enough, for a quiet night with my daughter before the ceremony. The Hermitage Court location fit all of these and more. To say the room was clean would be an understatement. This was all about presentation. Every light was lit and soft music was playing when we walked in the room. We immediately felt at home. The "welcome" package included a stocked bar basic food staples, laundry and dishwasher detergents. Everything was in great working order. The appliances (including a very nice washer and dryer) all worked great.
Finally, the location could not possibly be nicer. Beautiful neighborhood, great for walking and/or getting a morning Starbucks. Most of the wedding guests stayed in the Hilton downtown. From Hermitage Court to the Hilton is 1 mile (about an 8 minute drive).
We plan to visit our daughter and husband in Charlotte many times in the future. And even though they have a home where we can stay, I would still love to spend another week at Hermitage Court.
Everything about this place was just perfect. The owners obviously take great pride in their property and it shows. They were easy to communicate with and gave great suggestions on things to do. My girls group of four was most comfortable during our 3-day stay. The pictures on the VRBO website were exactly the way the apartment appeared in person with one exception - the porch furniture was different - AND MUCH BETTER than pictured. The owners even left us some nibbles and breakfast items to get us started. We've used VRBO several times now and this is the best experience we've ever had! The owners really deserve credit for thinking of everything and providing great customer service.
This apartment was exactly as pictured -- it is truely beautiful. The accomodations far exceeded our expectations! Everything was clean and very well maintained. The location is ideal to downtown Charlotte and is within easy driving distance to South Park. There are several places within walking distance from the apartment, including: Starbucks and Harris Teeter. The owner was extremely helpful, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. Could not have asked for a better experience. Will definitely stay here again!
Less than 2 miles from Uptown Charlotte, our Hermitage Court building is located in the heart of Myers Park, on a quiet lane with a beautifully landscaped median. Impressive stone gateways flank each end of the street, and provide a grand entrance to the neighborhood, developed between 1913 and 1925. A century later, the overwhelming majority of the houses retain their original architectural character, and the street is a designated Historic District.
Our stately building sits on a half acre of gently sloping land and the large lot provides an ideal place for outdoor entertaining or for a game of croquet, and offers unmatched privacy, peace and quiet. There are four residences in the building, all with screened porches. The upstairs units offer partial skyline views of Uptown Charlotte, and all offer the privacy and seclusion of one of Charlotte's premier streets.
