We are two families that own this property, The Fox/Baranowska and Caalaman/Kiernan families Long time friends and neighbors, we bought this home to share with each other the wonderful memories of Todos Santos. The youngest child just one year old when we purchased it in 2006. Since then we have put our hearts into restoring and creating a piece of paradise. Our children have so many wonderful memories and friends from our times spent here.
We look forward to coming in the summer and walking along the road to the beach picking mangoes up that have fallen to the ground; heading home and making smoothies. Boogie boarding at Cerritos is our all time favorite activity. Taking a picnic lunch and spending the day in the surf. More often than not we come to Todos Santos for Christmas. Santa comes here too!
Noel fox purchased this house in 2006
We were attracted to the historical appeal of the house. It has a nice amount of land surrounding it for the garden. We liked that town was close enough to walk to and the beaches not too close for safety purposes. We already loved Todos Santos from our travels here and wanted a bit more of a connection with the town and the people here. Since 2006 we have made so many friends and everyone is very welcoming to us
Accommodations were comfortable and the place is perfectly suited for a large group on a budget (we had 8 people). Plenty of beds and privacy for everyone. The location is pretty convenient, and right across the street from one of the more popular restaurants/bar/club in the town - La Esquina. Nancy, the caretaker, was very helpful and responsive. Everything we needed for cooking and BBQ'ing was already there. The VHS collection is pretty outdated, but we managed to find some classics hidden throughout the over abundance of romantic comedies.
The biggest complaint that we had was the Wi-Fi. The description says "wi-fi", but don't count on it unless you walk across the street to the restaurant, or you walk outside the house and sit on the caretakers porch. It's not a big deal for most vacationers, but those who need to work remotely will be disappointed.
We had a wonderful time in Todos Santos and would definetly go back again. The owners of the rental are just starting to rent out so there are a few minor holes such as bedroom reading lights that need to get filled in and then I would rate it excellent. The on site caretaker was very helpful, informative, responsive to our needs and very nice. The house was clean and well kept. The town was interesting and fun. There are so many great safe to eat at restaurants. The beach we went to was beautiful. We were there during the art studio tour. I think if you were going to live in Mexico this would be where you would want to live. A vibrant arts and expat community. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Thanks for such a great time. We would definetly go back.
