Sugar-like sand between your toes, a gentle breeze caressing your skin, as you watch the beautiful Florida sunset.
A stroll up Bay Drive to the Pier, enjoying the postcard-like views of sailboats bobbing on the bay.
An evening dip, cool drink in hand, in the beautiful pool, surrounded by lush tropical scenery, as you slowly ease into 'vacation' mode.
Morning breakfast in the screened porch as you enjoy the 'show': birds chirping, squirrels fence-running, a symphony of nature that welcomes you to another glorious 'beach' day.

Ooozing with charm, Tortuga Cottage has rbeen completely renovated, and is as much worth the stay as the location itself.
There's room for up to six guests so whether it's a girls' week or family getaway, you'll always feel cozy, not confined. This light and airy vacation home is only three houses to the white sandy beach of Anna Maria and only two blocks from Historic Bridge Street. You'll be just a flip flop's walk to the beach and Bridge Street. Open a bottle of wine and enjoy a little time to breathe as you relax in the screened lanai.
Tortuga Cottage is set amongst native plants with a beautifully exterior. It is a wonderful oasis of Old Florida charm and calm set back on a quiet street, mere steps from the beautiful sugar white beaches of Anna Maria Island and Bridge Street!
The cottage consists of two bedrooms/two bathrooms. The 1st bedroom has a king size bed, the 2nd has one twin bed with a trundle and there is a sleeper sofa in the light and airy living room. The entrance to the cottage has an adorable dining area, and the living room has plenty of comfortable chairs to curl up and read that book you've been promising yourself. Indeed, with the premium linens in both bedrooms, you might not want to get out of bed even after reading your book!
Should there be a rainy day at 108 5th Street South, you'll be able keep the whole party entertained. Digital cable and a DVD player in the living room are all waiting for you and the popcorn. Music lovers have available a portable Bluetooth speaker. In the master and guest bedroom are flat screen TVs with premium cable package and Roku. The living area features a large flat screen TV with DVD player. Wireless Internet with a internet speed to 150 Mbps is available throughout for tablets or any other digital toys you may bring. Sunnier days can be spent out back. Your pool is refreshing and has a six foot privacy fence all the way around. Swimming all day builds an appetite so be sure to stock up on burgers and kabobs for the grill. If you're not a grill fan, try whipping up something in the kitchen. Tortuga Cottage starts to feel less like a vacation home and more like your own after you've made a few memories here.
With so many island activities you might consider extending your stay. You can stroll seven miles of "flour soft" sand or take in the local art culture on Historic Bridge Street. But you haven't officially arrived in Anna Maria Island until you take a ride on the free trolley. Come see for yourself - stay for a week at Tortuga Cottage and you'll want to make it your first choice for Bradenton Beach again and again.
