Great trip to Cascais
We, 10 of us, travelled from the states for a wedding in Cascais. We picked Marcos’ house based on the size for our group and the short proximity to the coast and downtown. The 5 rooms with their own bathrooms were ideal for our 5 couples. We were not disappointed! The property was everything as advertised and more. We used the pool sparingly during our stay, but Marcos had it cleaned and prepared for our arrival.
The coast is a short walk from the house and downtown is less than a mile. Uber transportation is very available at all times.
Marcos was the perfect host. We arrived at 7:30 am after a long overnight flight, and Marcos allowed an early checkin. He also arranged a fabulous brunch that was setup and serviced by a chef and his wonderful family. Marcos also had the house stocked with a list that we agreed on prior to the start of our trip. Just to note that there is a small but well stocked market right across the street from the house. Btw Marcos met us at the house when we arrived assuring that we were pleased.
During the planning phase of the trip, Marcos was responsive to our many inquiries and requests. As noted, he has the facilities to arrange many services.
Checkout was the easiest we’ve encountered, I.e. minimal requirements.
The trip was a huge success, and the house and Marcos made all the hard stuff easy. Without hesitation, we would book again!

Beautiful house and pool.
The house is beautiful and very impressive. My family (including a newborn baby) and I visited during august and had no air conditioning for the full ten days. The temperature in our room was 32 degrees in the evenings. There are no instructions how to use anything and we had to constantly phone the owner. (Who mostly didn’t pick up his phone). We couldn’t find outside bins, no first aid kit. The swimming pool was filthy and we had to asked for it to be cleaned. The hot tub didn’t work. The pine cones falling from the tree on top of the outside eating area would split your head open so the children had to eat indoors all holiday. We contacted the owner to see if we could settle some sort of compensation purely for the lack of air conditioning and the fact my children all became ill but he ignored the emails and messages. HomeAway don’t help either. Extremely disappointing considering it’s such a beautiful house and we paid a lot of money to ensure we wouldn’t have these problems.
