I am a young professional who loves experiencing all that San Diego has to offer, which is why I chose to live on Cortez Hill. I enjoy long walks in the Park with my dog Sahsa. I am a self-reliant strong willed woman of God who loves her family and friends and the many blessings that come from being part of a large and extended family. I enjoy traveling and seeking to find all the adventures and beauty this City has to provide. Most importantly I want everyone to experience the beauty of our amazing city!!
Rose purchased this condo in 2007
I chose to live on Cortez Hill because I wanted to live a truly urban pedestrian lifestyle. I love walking and meeting new people. Balboa Park is awesome place for people watching, exercising, enjoying the outdoors and learning about the arts & history @ the museums. This property is centrally located and easy access to freeways for those who want to experience San Diego by car.
Unique Benefits is location....location...location. I provide you a home away from your home. Clean, immaculate 2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom with all the amenities you are accustomed to. I strive to provide you a 5 Star accommodation experience. If I don't have it in the Condo, I will provide it. You ask and you shall receive!!
Great location, great condo! Rose is also fabulous to work with. I hope to stay here again sometime!
The condo was not only clean and safe but was gorgeous. We used the pool and hot tub everyday. The private patio gave us great outside space. The bedding was beautiful and comfortable. We felt like we were in our own little spa.
Additionally, we were within walking distance of Balboa Park and all the downtown restaurants and attractions. We were a short car ride to the beach. I will stay here again and highly recommend!
My family of 4 stayed in this condo for Comic Con. We were close to the free shuttle and within walking distance to coffee shops and downtown. The owner was responsive and very helpful, meeting us at the property to show us around. The building's amenities were excellent. I would highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again.
This lovely apartment is inside a very nice apartment house which is locked up tight and has underground secure parking. This neighborhood seems quiet, but is obviously challenged by being in one of the oldest parts of the city. I was very pleased with the security. Even though it is right under the flight path for the airport runway, we weren't bothered by the plane noise (it's on the bottom floor). We were quite near Balboa Park, the USS Midway, Seaport Village shopping center, and the Zoo, which were the main attractions for us this trip. The beds were quite comfy, but the living room furniture could be updated. (My husband was recovering from shoulder surgery and had been sleeping in his recliner at home, so he had trouble finding a place to sleep comfortably.) The little dining furniture set was needing to be replaced, but the owner told me she had already ordered another set to replace it. I hope she will post new pictures soon to show that. The little patio is lovely. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pans, etc - though a cookie sheet would have been a nice addition. We cooked our breakfasts and evening meals here nearly every day rather than going out. The nearby Ralph's store (about a mile away) has a great selection of groceries and wines, so we stopped there a couple of times.
One word: If you are computer geeks like we are, bring a couple of power strips because the location and number of plugs are limited.
Though I doubt we'll make another trip to San Diego, if we did and wanted to stay near Balboa Park again, we would stay here again.
Thanks, Rosa, for a comfortable and convenient stay. We enjoyed it!
We just stayed here and loved it. Rose was such an accommodating owner and so nice. The location is great, pool and building are well maintained. Thanks for allowing us to stay here!
Cortez Hill District is one of San Diego's oldest residential neighborhoods. Schools, churches and a pedestrian-friendly environment now characterize the western portion of Cortez Hill. Commercial shops and sidewalk cafes line Fifth and Sixth Avenues, and Ash Street provides a gateway to the waterfront. As the highest land mass in the Centre City Community Planning area, Cortez Hill boasts views of urban San Diego, Balboa Park, the bay and Pacific Ocean., Neighborhood Park/Tweet Street.
