A very small log cabin built 1946 by the son of LL Bean and now owned by LL's granddaughter. Largest room has new twin beds with LL Bean bedding, eating table and two chairs, a couple of lanterns, and playing cards. Two smaller rooms, for changing and campfire equipment. No running water, no electricity and no heat. Out back along a wooded path is a small one-holer outhouse with lime powder and a scoop. Over 400 feet of spectacular rocky beach frontage, good swimming, and a cabin front hammock. Rock Campfire ring and a few chairs. Bring matches, water, paper towels, a couple rolls of toilet paper, and anything you'd like to cook. Firewood is available by gathering around the 4.5 acres lot or purchase at convenience stores. A large Bean fry pan, lobster pot, and other utensils are in the cabin.
Peace and quiet are the features of this getaway less than 10 miles from the LL Bean flagship store and Linda Bean's Maine Kitchen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (7:30 AM top late night, 7 days a week).
