Traditional, extremely comfortable, ski-in / out chalet with breathtaking views
Set at 1835m, with staggering views of Les Dents du Midi from its many balconies, Chalet Les Béliers combines traditional Alpine charm with luxury and modern technology. The chalet sits above the small, pretty village of Les Crosets in the Portes du Soleil, giving it ski in/ski out access to the largest ski area in the world, and all within 90 minutes of Geneva Airport. The chalet sleeps 10 guests in 5 en-suite bedrooms, and the open-plan living area benefits from a 2m stone fireplace and 180 degree views across the mountains. Those seeking a less active day can enjoy a sauna or curl up by the fire in front of the home cinema with cable (international) TV. WiFi is available throughout. Chalet Les Béliers was carefully designed to minimise its environmental impact; all materials were sourced locally and hot water is provided naturally from deep within the mountains via an eco-friendly ground source heat pump, allowing guests to enjoy underfloor heating at no environmental cost.

About Mr Robert Maclean
I'm married with my two children (22 months and 1 month). I can't wait until they're old enough to put on some skis and show their dad how its done!
Mr Robert Maclean purchased this Chalet in 2008
Why Mr Robert Maclean chose Val-d'Illiez
I grew up skiing in this area and its just fantastic. When I went back 20 years later and saw the view, it just reminded me what an amazing time I'd had as a child and I knew I had to build a chalet!!
What makes this Chalet unique
Well I don't know anywhere else in the world with a view like it... Oh, and the fact that its the largest ski area in the world!

Very comfortable chalet with all mod cons. Loved it.
Stunning views from homely, luxury chalet
We had a wonderful week at Chalet Les Beliers. The chalet comfortably slept two families, including 5 children, and a nanny. The facilities are top notch, with all rooms ensuite and stunning views. The kitchen was very well equipped and the massive dinning room table made the evening meals a fun and sociable occasion. The sitting room comfortably sat everyone and wi-fi, DVD player and satellite tv were all great extras to have. You can ski to within a few hundred metres of the chalet, but if you have got little kids you will need a car to take the 3 minute journey down to the main lifts and nursery slopes. Don't go to Les Crosets if you are looking for masses of Apres Ski, but do go if you are looking for a fabulous large, luxury chalet in a massive ski area.
Chalet Les Beliers - a pearl in Portes du Soleil
The spacious and extremely well equiped Chalet Les Beliers has been our "home" for the second time. Owner Robert Maclean and local facility manager Jeanine Saugy offer their best service both prior as well as during the stay to make guests as comfortable as they can wish.
The 5 minutes drive to the center of Les Crosets (guarded parking next to all ski lifts) offers a great mountain view on a daily cleaned road. After a journey on the Portes du Soleil slopes and a nice lunch in one of the several good restaurants, sunset drinks at the chalet balcony completes everyones day!
Chalet Les Beliers is a wonderful chalet. It's very spacious, modern, executed to a very high standard and fully equipped. Super view over the mountains. We had a wonderful week there with our family. The situation of the chalet is perfect - You can Ski In and Out and is is easy to get there by Car. We would certainly recommend it to friends and family.
Christmas at Chalet Les Beliers
Chalet Les Beliers is a wonderful place where one can relax and forget the bustle of everyday life. It's a truly special place - we spent Christmas here and felt right at home! The chalet is really comfortable - it is well thought out and equipped, the bedrooms and living spaces are spacious. The interiors are decorated with taste, with a great blend of mountain feel and modernity. Access to the slopes is incredibly easy. But the most amazing thing is the view - the Dents the Midi are there for your - morning till evening, splendid and majestic!
Fantastic family summer holiday
We had been to this chalet before in the winter and enjoyed fantastic skiing in a really wonderful and comfortable place, so we decided to take our young children to the Alps in the summer too, as the chalet itself is such a wonderful and luxurious holiday property. We enjoyed great weather and lovely walks, and took advantage of the outdoor pool and leisure centre in Champery. The kids loved their holiday - donkey rides and feeding the animals at The Relais behind the chalet, splashing in the paddling pool in the garden and catching chairlifts to the top of mountains. The owner has thought of everything - down to cots, highchairs, kids' cutlery and even CBeebies on tap! - this really was a family holiday made in heaven, which meant that the grown ups could relax too! Highly recommended winter and summer.
Les Crosets is a family-oriented, sports-mad village at 1,668 m, just on the Swiss side of the border with France and constitutes one of the 12 villages within the Portes du Soleil (which includes, amongst others, Avoriaz, Morzine, Chatel and Champery). The skiing is extensive and covers all abilities; from beginner to expert. The mountains above the village create a natural bowl providing extensive off piste opportunities, but also La Chavanette (or The Wall), one of Europe’s steepest and most challenging black runs. Additionally the SnowPark gives those searching for greater thrills plenty to keep them occupied. The Portes du Soleil is an immense linked ski area in France and Switzerland comprising 12 resorts such as Morzine and Avoriaz, 2 countries, and 650km of glorious pistes as well as untold opportunities for off piste, all covered by a single ski pass… Ski: Les Crosets is a family-oriented, sports-mad village at 1,668 m, just on the Swiss side of the border with France and constitutes one of the 12 villages within the Portes du Soleil (which includes, amongst others, Avoriaz, Morzine, Chatel and Champery).
