About the property

3 Bedrooms, One Private-lower Level By The Pool And 3 1/2 Baths

Villa #4 located on the mountain side of Playa Panama, views the Bay of Calubra and the Peninsula de Papagayo. This unique villa is more like a private home than it is a villa. Designed with privacy in mind there is no intrusion by other tourists. One of the Villa's most attractive features is the totally separated and private bedroom located poolside on the lower level. This outstanding feature is perfect for those groups needing a little 'space'. The views from either level are simply breath-taking and one never tires of the fabulous sunsets.

About Geri Henney

Floyd and Geri, married 40 Yrs.with 5 children, are now enjoying 10 grandchildren, and have lived all our lives in the Northeast corner of Indiana. Our oldest is a Dr. with 4 children and is a missionary in Laos, next a college basketball coach with 2 boys, another Dr. of emergency med, our fourth a financial wiz and our youngest finishes college this year and will probably go to law school. We share this ownership with our brother and his wife and a good friend and his wife who live just a couple hours west of us.

Geri Henney purchased this villa in 2008

Why Geri Henney chose Costa Rica

We spent a couple years in South America and then rode motorcycles through Central America during the mid-seventies on our way home. We fell in love with the beauty and the people of Costa Rica. Years later when we were looking for an investment property Costa Rica was the natural conclusion. The Pacific West Coast of Costa Rica is ideal and so awesome.

What makes this villa unique

We love that we can always count on the weather to be great, we have great flight routes, our time is always relaxing and we eat healthy and get some great exercise with our sunshine. Our community is very private and the views are locked into our memory forever.

Wonderful for Adults and Children

  • 5 of 5

Visited Costa Rica with my extended family and children (1 year and 4 years). We had a fantastic time. The kids absolutely loved the private pool just off the patio, the beach, and the mango smoothies on the beach!

My in-laws and I felt safe in the gated community, loved the privacy, and the units had everything we needed. Very spacious.

The surrounding area had so much to do. Beautiful spa down the road, gorgeous golf course, great restaurants, zip-lining, etc. We even had a couple masseuses come to the units and do massages for all of the couples on the patio overlooking the ocean.

Perfect Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and 3 kids went with me along with me and it was the perfect vacation for a family. The view is great, it is close to the beach, and we even had monkeys come visit us for breakfast. Kids still haven't stopped talking about it.

3 pools and views for days

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the villa for our honeymoon. From the very start of planning to the final goodbyes, it was the perfect getaway. The property manager helped us arrange travel and transportation, then met us at the villa when we arrived. She went above and beyond to explain to us her favorite things to do in the city, and she provided us with a detailed map. While staying at the villa, we had access to three pools. The villa itself has a private pool, and there are two community infinity pools. Each pool had stunning views! The villa was fully stocked with everything we needed, from a gourmet kitchen, to a grill, to a beach towels, it had it all. We loved waking up in the morning and sitting on the expansive balcony, watching the sun rise over the ocean. We stayed for ten days and found it to be relaxing, peaceful vacation.

Amazing accommodations with incredible views!

  • 5 of 5

The Villa was the perfect home away from home while we were in Costa Rica for a week. It's clean with modern accommodations, and it feels like you're on a secluded mountain side. The views of the bay are breathtaking. Highly recommend for families and groups. There are plenty of things to do around Playa Panama, but it definitely helps to have a car.

Perfect Honeymoon Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our 10 days in Playa Panama. We couldn't have picked a better honeymoon location. The view is stunning and you look out from the hills over the trees and, a ways off, the beach. The pool is calm and still and photos cannot quite convey the sense of peace you get from watching the sun set against the water. We explored the coast and tried several local restaurants. We drove up to explore Arenal, a local quietly smoking volcano. A couple hours away is the touristy beach of Tamarindo, where we spent a couple evenings. There's good surfing and you can rent a board for between $15 and $25. Up near Playa Coco you can find a snorkel rental place and go snorkeling along the coast. The waves are gentle and there are loads of bright colored fish! Evenings by the pool or down in town by the beach were perfect. We even found a little karaoke spot with songs in English! The area is easy to navigate by car even without a GPS and we enjoyed exploring together. There's no place in the world we'd rather re-visit.

Ohio visitors

This was an excellent, clean and well taken care of villa. The listing photos accurately portrayed the residence; and, yet, it would be hard to duplicate the beautiful view from the living room, terrace and master bedroom that we awoke to each morning. The owners were in the area and were very accommodating, friendly and generous. We visited Gingers and Donde Johann's restaurants and we thoroughly enjoyed both. Two in our party went ziplining, a unique experience which they enjoyed. We visited the Llanos del Cortez waterfall approximately 45 minutes from the villa, which was well worth the trip. In addition, along with the owners, we rented a boat and cruised the ocean in search of a mother whale and her baby because of recent sitings. We did not see the whales, but had a very interesting and entertaining time. We had lovely weather and lovely memories. Yes, we would recommend this special rental!
