Amazing place, fantastic location, everything was perfect when we got there, a wonderful food hamper
Great get away right on the beach, had a fabulous time, the Bolthole is amazing place, clean, bright, beautifully designed.
Will definately be going again.
Unique place, fast communication and the beach right out the back door. Loved the train carriages. We’ll be back!
Perfect weekend away venue
The Bolthole is a beautiful and quirky holiday home. The interior is designed to feel homely, but stylish and the outside couldn't be anymore perfect, with the beach on the doorstep. We are a group of old school friends who go away once a year, and The Bolthole was a perfect venue. Stopped and did some Christmas shopping in Arundel on the way which is always lovely too. Hope to be back to experience it in the summer next year.
Thank you to these charming guests for a lovely review. We hope to have you back to experience the beach in its summer splendour.
Perfect weekend retreat. Made our friends 50th birthday. Would highly recommend.
8 friends went to celebrate a 50th birthday. Isabelle wanted a cosy retreat on a beach where we could walk, sit round a fire pit and all eat together, watch films, play games and pop open a few bottles of bubbly. The property far outweighed our greatest expectations with every little detail covered. Hot water, clean facilities, cooking equipment, glasses, mugs, coffee machine and gorgeous decoration in every room. Isabelle bakes and hires out vintage China and this was like walking into ‘issy land’. So cute with all the train doors leading into the comfy bedrooms. We had the most amazing weekend celebrating together. We’ll definitely be back.
Thank you gorgeous ladies for your words. We are always thrilled when guests have a ball and this review is even more precious given the atrocious weather this weekend. What a super lovely group who sprinkle their Own fun! Please return to some sunshine and more bubbles!
Superb. Fantastic place to stay
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Mixture of ages and catered for all. Served our needs for trips to London, Portsmouth and Goodwood. Will certainly be revisiting. Fantastic views over the South coast.
Thank you guys for our first lovely review on home and away after over 83 sets of guests over on Airbnb. Please come back as soon as your know dates for the festival
Pagham is a semi rural coastal village in the Arun district of West Sussex.
Pagham Harbour is a designated site of Special Scientific Interest. It is home to a myriad of sea birds and rare flora and fauna. The walks are bracing and beautiful and the sunsets spectacular. You are literally on the edge of England.
Pagham itself is a typical seaside town complete with an amusement arcade, a lively holiday park and many local 'free house ' pubs - The Lamb, The Red Lion and The Bear as well as the popular Inglenook Hotel which is a popular stop off point for many during visits to events at Goodwood Motor Circuit and Goodwood Horse racing.
The beach estate is relatively untouched and charming in its beach comber feel. Many of the properties on the beach estate are converted railway carriages or a combination of build styles and testament to the personalities of the folk who find themselves calling Pagham their 'happy place'. There is nothing generic about The Pagham Beach estate.
The house parks three cars comfortable but we are accessed by a very bumpy unadopted road. This is great for the safety of children and pets as cars cannot manage faster than 10 miles per hour but this is to be considered if driving a sports car.
Transport by bus is good but use of a car is the best way to explore the surrounding South Downs and the many events at Goodwood and Arundel Castle.
Local convenience shops are just a ten minute walk from the house and there is a frequent bus service to Bognor Regis and Chichester. On approach to Pagham is Runcton Farm shop and butchers which also offers pick your own fruits in the summer months.
The local Norman church of St Thomas a'Becket is considered to be one of the finest of its type in England
Arundel castle is thirty minutes away and hosts many events all year round including summer open air Shakespeare performances.
