Overview

About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom With Modern Amenities And Cottage Charm

This is home for our family when we visit Berkeley. Sometimes it’s just a weekend away for my wife and me or an extended vacation with our kids. With this in mind we understand the needs of our guests and hope you make yourselves at home during your stay.

The home is full of natural light with french doors in the living room under vaulted ceilings and more of the same in the master bedroom. It’s a 2 bedroom house that feels quite roomy because it’s a ranch style wrapped around a beautiful garden.

Just a half block away, up the hill is the entrance to Tilden Park. This well kept secret is a great destination for hiking, golfing and cycling. Down the hill, in 5 minutes by car or bus (the bus stop is across the street) you can shop on Solano Ave or enjoy a meal in the Gourmet Ghetto of North Berkeley.

It’s quiet, comfortable and in a convenient location. Enjoy.

About Jeremy Lew

We live in Colorado and visit the Bay Area often. This house has been part of our family and is filled with many wonderful memories. We know you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Jeremy Lew purchased this house in 2001

Why Jeremy Lew chose Berkeley

I went to UC Berkeley and grew up in the East Bay and it is important for our family to maintain our ties to California. Tilden Park is a gem and there's ample cycling, golf and hiking year round. This is a quiet neighborhood in the hills, but has easy access to some of the best attractions in the Bay Area.

What makes this house unique

Enjoy meals on the deck or in the cozy dining room. Bring your bike (mountain or road) or take walks in the park. Take time to relax under vaulted ceilings near our cozy fireplace. This is a wonderful house that is comfortable and well maintained.

The property was wonderful and so close to Cal Berkeley! An easy ride into San Francisco and to Muir Woods. Highly recommend.

A wonderful place for relaxing!

  • 4 of 5

This was our second vacation at this property and, again, we found it perfect for our family of three adults. The owner is very responsive. The bedrooms have comfortable beds with plenty of room to move around even with open luggage on convenient racks. We were also able to hang some items in the master bedroom closet. The bathroom was clean with an excellent tub/shower. We also enjoyed the large HD TV with Netflix access for catching up on movies and shows in the evening. The location is excellent for access to Berkeley restaurants and BART for trips to the city. The drive to Napa for wine tasting is also easy. Of course, the access to hiking trails at Tilden was outstanding! We do enjoy making some home cooked meals and were disappointed at having to pre-wash the cooking pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. We believe that perhaps some renters need to be more responsible. That aside, we would highly recommend this property!

What a great house, beautiful pateo and great neighborhood and views. We loved our stay!

  • 5 of 5

We just loved the 10 days we spent in Berkeley, San Francisco and the locations we visited.

Thank you Lew Family. The house is amazing, with a very tasteful decor and comfortable at the same time. The house has a beautiful pateo, all around, and the neighborhood is very typical and friendly. Walking a bit, you have a breathtaking view over the San Francisco bay. The house is fully equiped, which makes you feel at home the moment you step in.

The whole process of renting went very smoothly, just the way we like it!

So, thumbs up! We definitely recommend it! 5*!

Perfect location, our stay was very relaxing in this wonderful home.

The location in Berkley hills was perfect for our stay. We really enjoyed the secret stair book, we did a different walk each day. It really feels like a home away from home.

Wonderful house near Tilden Park

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for the second time and the house was as beautiful as I remembered. I stayed here with my daughter(s) for almost two month and it is well suited for such an extended stay with two large bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and well equipped kitchen. It is located close to Tilden Park, which makes for an easy evening stroll, in a very quiet neighborhood. I hope to stay here again when my travels bring me back to Berkeley.
