We got engaged in KW and honeymooned here 17 years ago this year. It holds a very special place in our hearts. We love the inclusivity of the island and the life style; it can be as relaxed or as crazy as you want it to be. One of our favorite things to do is ride our tandem around the island.
Kristin Conley and Andrew Sudds purchased this house in 2007
After years of biking around the island daydreaming of having our own little piece of paradise, we saw this perfect little conch house on our way to the beach one day. We peeked through the fence and saw the screened in porch and row of french doors flanking a lovely little garden. It was perfect! It is just the right size and such a great location - close to everything, but nice quiet street.
Live like a local in quiet neighborhood, easy walk and easier bike ride to anywhere. Central AC is hard to find in Key West and our place is nice respite from the heat. The screened in porch is private and the perfect spot to start your day or kick off the evenings festivities.
What a lovely place. Great location, wonderful place with all the conveniences of home. The best thing is the new waterfall outdoor private shower. Thanks so much for sharing your home
As a first time vacation home renter and indeed first time visitor to Key West, I was little a anxious about the rental process; how foolish was I to worry?
Kristin and Andy were wonderful right from my very first enquiry, answering every question quickly and really going the extra mile with tips for restaurants, bars and sightseeing. By the time I was leaving London I don't know who was more excited about my trip me or indeed Kristin!
The house itself is beautiful; bright, airy and very spacious. The porch is also a great bonus; I ate breakfast in there most days (unless I went to Sandy's Café- a must!). Location wise; it is tucked away in a quiet street in Old Town, a short walk to Duval Street and local beaches, yet not isolated; I felt perfectly safe walking around even after dark. The neighbours were also very friendly.
There is absolutely no doubt where I will be staying next time I visit Key West; that is if one of the people I have recommended it to (just about everyone I know) hasn't managed to book the great house first!
My wife and I went to Key West in early March to get away from the winter and celebrate her birthday. We stayed in this small house on Margaret Street a few blocks away from everything in Key West. We parked the rental car and never used it during our stay. Parking near the house was not a problem. We enjoyed the place, especially the screen enclosed porch in the back. We spent every evening there reading and relaxing. It was very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this little house to anyone who wants to enjoy Key West.
I've been to Key West many times, but staying in a conch house on a quiet street in Old Town really added a special element to the trip. The house is nicely maintained, updated, and comfortable. Besides the roosters roaming the streets, it was also very quiet. We found it easy to walk to just about anything on the island and had no trouble parking within half a block of the house at any time. The owners are very friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with and I'm certain they would have been extremely attentive if we'd had some sort of issue. I would certainly stay there again!
A recommendation -
If you can swing it, take the seaplane to Dry Tortugas National Park. It's worth every penny.
This is a perfectly located and charming cottage in Key West with modern updates. Tucked away on a quiet street, yet within walking or a short bike ride to everything in Old Town Key West. We hardly moved our vehicle for 5 weeks! Close to great attractions, restaurants and shopping. We had a great time!
We spent 5 nights here with 2 adults and 2 children. It was a perfect spot to walk to the beaches, Duval Street, and the piers for boats. It was very clean and the decorating inside made it airy and comfortable. Great light colors and lots of windows.
El Siboney Restaurant is just a 1 minute walk away for a great meal which we had for takeout.
Fausto's Food Palace is a five block walk and had all we needed to cook some meals as well in the well laid out kitchen with great cookware.
The owners were quick to reply to any questions that we had and put together a list of things the kids would enjoy.
We had a great stay and would recommend this home. No need to have a car.
Enjoy quiet stay in historic, Old Town, Key West. Easy walk to the beach and the shops, bars and restaurants on Duval Street. This location allows you to take in all the colorfulness of Key West and get a restful night's sleep.
