Perfect refresher

We enjoyed our quick getaway to this beautifully appointed cottage. The weather cooperated each day allowing us to enjoy the waterside and gazebo coupled with beautiful views from the master and coffee by the fire pit each morning on the screened in porch.

We will definitely be back!

Quiet and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is very clean and well maintained. The front screened in deck was AMAZING. We loved the gas fire pit and there was a nice breeze in the evening. The cabin is small, but we were always on the lake, so that was not a problem for us. There was plenty of towels, a washer and dryer, and a fully stocked kitchen( dishes, pots, pans, and silverware). The only thing that I would like to of have was another night stand and lamp in the Master bedroom. There is only 1 lamp and it made reading a little difficult at night. We would rent this cabin again! Great location to the lake and close to town.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

This house is small, rustic, and quaint. No frills, but a wonderful gem in an area surrounded by many outdoor activities

Rock City and Ruby falls are 1 hour away. Plenty of state parks for hiking and biking trails. Many waterfalls nearby and Jacksons boat rental is only 10 minutes over the bridge . Huntsville and it's space center are also only 1 hour away.

I will say that the stairs are steep to the bedrooms upstairs, so may not be ideal for real little ones.

If you want to relax, swim, grill and enjoy nature...this is your place...not to mention the owner was super easy to work with and very accommodating .

Will definitely consider this property again

All the Comforts of Home at the Same Price as a Hotel

  • 5 of 5

We loved our 5 night stay at the cabin. Waking up every day to the Lake View was amazing. My four girls loved fishing and swimming off the dock. We didn't have a boat to park, but next time I might get a couple of kayaks. Unlike a hotel room, we had enough bed space for our family of 6 and didn't have to eat out every night because I froze a few meals the week beforehand and was able to cook them in the full, open-concept kitchen where I could still enjoy my family. Eating out on the deck was enjoyable in the evenings, and watching the chipmunks while drinking coffee on the back deck was great in the mornings. We spent one day at the gazebo by the pier and grilled out. We also used the cabin as a base for going to Little River Canyon, swimming in Martha's Falls, Desoto Falls, Scottsboro baggage claim store, Cathedral Cavern State Park, and hiking in Desoto State Park. It's a good mid-spot for a number of attractions.

Relaxing trip

  • 5 of 5

Quaint and cozy cabin couldn't have asked for anything better. The dock was very easy to get to and convenient to keep the boat strapped overnight. We loved sitting in the screened porch eating our meals and enjoying the wonderful weather.
