About the property

2 bed/2 bath

Come enjoy the Sonoran Desert lifestyle at its best in this comfortable, 1569 square foot 2 bed/2 bath home. Wake up in your spacious and sunny 15’ x 13’ master bedroom to a glorious sunrise over the Catalina Mountains after a relaxing night’s sleep in your queen sized Tempur-Pedic bed with fully adjustable base (including a massage function) for your ideal sleeping comfort. In addition to its own private bath with two sinks and a walk-in shower, this fully carpeted master bedroom comes furnished with a 46' HDTV and walk-in closet. The carpeted guest bedroom, adjacent to a full bathroom with walk-in shower, features a double bed which sleeps 2 comfortably, and a spacious closet and small standard TV. A self-inflating air mattress capable of accommodating 1 adult or 2 smaller children is also provided for those occasional family get-togethers.

Host your friends in your great room with its mountain view, rustic leather furnishings and inviting artistic décor that combine to create a warm, gracious and cozy southwestern atmosphere. Views of the striking Catalinas form the perfect backdrop, as well, for relaxing in the Arizona room, with its sumptuous leather furnishings and 40” HDTV, or dining in the adjacent breakfast area. The fully equipped kitchen, which is open to this bright and cheerful space, includes granite countertops and alder cabinetry. Tile floors throughout this section of the house make for easy clean-up. A small office with desk-top computer and pantry space, and a two-car garage with plenty of additional storage space complete the floor plan. Additionally, a washer and drier in the garage and WIFI throughout the house add to your vacation comfort.

Make the most of each day. Walk, bike or jog through the surrounding community and take the time to admire the panoramic vistas of the Catalina Mountains and the lush Sonoran Desert. Take advantage of the community pool a five minute walk from your front door, or visit the athletic complex less than a five minute drive away, which offers a wide range of classes and activities, a fully equipped fitness center, a pool, golf, and tennis as well as arts and crafts facilities and a library. And for the adventurous spirit, hike the nearby desert canyons, Honeybee Canyon and Catalina State Park. Interested in something less strenuous? With many of Tucson’s best restaurants, shops and movie theaters a 5 to 20 minute drive away, and most attractions in the greater Tucson area reachable within 45 to 60 minutes by car, there is plenty from which to choose to occupy your time.

The house is located in Sun City Oro Valley, a 55 and older community. The person renting the house must meet that age requirement. Renters will have access to all amenities provided by the community, including access to all clubs, activities and facilities, provided they bring a copy of the signed lease agreement and pay a $50 per person fee at the administration office. Please note that some activities and facilities (e.g. golf) do require an additional extra fee.

As a retired couple we found the house to be very well equipped and comfortable. Geoff, the owner, has done a splendid job of supplying the home with all the necessities that create a pleasing environment. Truly a place to revisit.

Much appreciated

Our very first rental home experience has set some very high standards in the ring of competition. The owner provided a wonderful library of things to do & see while in their area. Sleeping and bath linens were scrumptious The Oro Valley community was vibrant, friendly and welcoming; plus provided plenty of choices of activities covering anyone's range of interests. I even learned how to play Euchre and showed my travel companion what Bocce Ball was. The rental home was well equipped and more than aptly supplied. We were comfortable the moment we entered the home and appreciated returning to the total relaxation the home provided after each day of adventure and exploration. Thanks to the owner Geoff for his supplied books of suggestions of activities and day trips and many, many thanks to his property manager, Pam, for her immediate response to our inquiries and needs. We are overwhelmed with appreciation in their efforts to ensure such a positive 1st timer experience for us. I even think they put in a special request that provided perfect weather conditions for two very winter weary visitors from Wisconsin and Indiana.

Owner's Response: Dear Linda, Thanks for your very kind review. I am new to the rental market as well, and you were the first to reply to my VRBO listing. It was during our telephone conversations setting up the details of the rental agreement and hearing about how much this vacation meant to you that I came to understand, as an owner, that it was my responsibility to provide you with more than just a place for you to stay. It was my job to do everything in my power to make your Arizona vacation everything you were hoping it would be. I am glad that that’s the way it turned out. Best Regards, Geoff
