About Jill Jones

Our family lives in the Twin Cities and this lake home has been our 'Perfect Escape'. Our children have grown up here and we have endless memories of family gatherings and weekends with great friends.

We are excited to share such a beautiful, warm lake home with your family and friends

Jill Jones purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Jill Jones chose Central

This property features three master bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms as well as two additional bedrooms, and an extra room that has a queen bed. This room does not have a door or closet, but walk out French doors to the lower level walkout patio. This house will sleep a total of 20 people. The listed price is for up to 16 people, for every additional person up to 20 people it is $100 per person per night based on management approval. It is the perfect set up for multiple families because most of the rooms have multiple beds that will accomodate adults and children so everyone in a family can be in the same room.

Ultimate privacy, while on the main level is the perfect large family room with enough space for everyone to gather.

What makes this cabin unique

If you are a party of two or twenty, the Nisswa/Brainerd Lakes area is the perfect place to hang out and relax on our private beach area on the lake, or take in any number of exciting things to do.

There are local marinas on Gull Lake, so you could rent a pontoon boat/kayaks for a weekend or golf and have a fabulous dinner out. OR, maybe stop by the grocery store and have everyone help to prepare a fabulous meal in the gourmet kitchen and watch the sunset from this amazing property. Doesn't get much better than that!

Perfect home for a family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We recently returned from a family vacation at this property. It was my parents, myself and my husband, 2 siblings with spouses and 4 young children. The house had more than enough room for us, being our first family vacation in one home-it was so comfortable to have our own large bedrooms and many different options for space to lounge/relax.

Upon arrival, Tom and his staff greeted us and couldn't have been nicer. Tom gave us a tour of the space, answered all of our questions and kept in touch during the week if I needed anything. The house was spotless, all of the bedding and towels were great quality. A nice touch was a small set of shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. in each bathroom-truly felt more like a hotel experience than being in someone else's home.

The house is VERY well stocked as other reviews mentioned. Included were beach towels, large bags of ice in the freezer, basic cooking staples etc. There are also miscellaneous fishing rods, inflatables and a lily pad that are available for guests to use which was awesome-the kids and adults spent hours of fun on the lily pad. Fishing was the highlight for the kids and adults-off the dock and we rented a pontoon and there were quite a few good spots around the area. Highly recommend renting a pontoon and exploring the surrounding lakes!

The only thing to take note of-if you have older guests, there are a number of stairs and the boulders leading down to the lake could be a little tricky to navigate. But there is a bedroom on the main level, so they would definitely be comfortable accessing the main living area, kitchen, deck etc.

I highly recommend this property-definitely worth the money!

Annual Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We have taken our 3 adult children, their spouses and our 7 grandchildren on our annual family vacation for the past 5 years. By far, this home is the best we have stayed in. From ample bedrooms to various sitting areas to the beach and docks, there was a space and place for everyone. We truly appreciated the 2 refrigerators because we had a lot of food and drink to store. The dock was the perfect place for our little ones to fish from and they did catch a lot of little sunnies which was a highlight for them. The fire pit was used every evening. Tom and Jill are very accomodating and answered all our questions. As our daughter and daughter in laws stated, "We have found our vacation home!" Thank you Jill for sharing your home with us!

Corporate Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Just recently we spent a week at this beautiful home on Gull Lake. The house is magnificent and the location even better. This is our 5th year to rent in the Brainerd Lakes areas and this by far was the best location to golf, restaurants and to get supplies. If you have a large group this home is more then capable of housing everyone. I highly recommend you renting this property. We had a great time!

Beautiful Home ! Everything you could possibly need !

  • 5 of 5

We returned recently from beautiful Gull Lake and this BEAUTIFUL home ! We had our children and our 5 grandchildren with us for the week and we could not have been happier with this house ! It was so well equipped with everything you could need ! There was so much room inside and out to spread out and enjoy the fabulous views and the lake. Tom was there to check us in and show us around and he was delightful - Jill the owner was so great to work with and answered our questions by email very promptly. There were outside lawn games provided and a wonderful little sandy beach area by the shore that the kids LOVED playing in. The kids had a fire in the fire pit and made s'mores. We rented a pontoon and were able to tie it up to the dock very safely and securely. It was truly just fabulous in every way. We had a little trouble with the wifi signal, but i honestly think thats because the boys were all trying to keep in touch with their work while there so there may have been too many people on at one time. Not a big deal. Its wonderful and we plan to come again next year if we can get our schedules all on the same page. For us,having our family together in one place made our vacation complete ! Thank you for a wonderful week !

Perfect House

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from renting this house for a week. We had 4 families and this house was perfect. It was beautiful, clean, well maintained, perfect floor-plan, stocked with just about anything you could possible need and plenty of room for everyone - indoors and outdoors. Speaking of being stocked, not only did it have what we needed, it was overstocked with toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, etc ., we were never going to run out of those things. We took our boat and were able to tie our boat up to the dock every night so it was ready to go bright and early the next morning. There is an electric covered lift that we could use and we did use it one night when it was going to rain. We had a few questions on some things in the house and the maintenance guy, Tom, was so helpful. Would we recommend this house to anyone - ABSOLUTELY. Would we rent it again - ABSOLUTELY!!

Family Reunion in Lake Country

  • 5 of 5

This house was the perfect place for we two grandparents, our three sons and their wives, and our seven grandchildren, ages 18 months to 7 1/2 years old. It is beautiful, spacious, well-stocked, comfortable, open and nicely appointed. The amenities exceeded our expectations. For instance, there are two refrigerators (very helpful for us) and an outdoor fire pit. We had fun roasting marshmallows around the fire pit two evenings while there. The owner and maintenance man were very responsive to any of our questions before and during our week's stay. In the area we found many activities to suit the family: Safari Park North, Crow Wing State Park (for canoeing on the Mississippi River), Whipple Beach Park, a day on a rental pontoon out on Gull Lake (with the ability to pull right up to the private dock behind the house), a day in Nisswa (Wednesday for the turtle races), and a day at Paul Bunyan Land. We especially enjoyed our time at the house out in the back yard or on the decks or in the back yard and little private beach. Beautiful lake views from almost every room in the house!! Only amenity lacking was a garbarge disposal; otherwise the kitchen is marvelous for group cooking! We highly recommend this house!
