Everything was great from start to finish. Great location and Jeanie was very helpful!
Property is in great location. Close to Harbour town and beautiful beach club and right across street from Sea Pines shopping center with restaurants, bike rentals, shops. Property is well appointed. Nice layout and plenty of room. Cutely decorated with full kitchen, laundry room and 2.5 baths came in handy. Right on little pond and bike path. We really enjoyed being able to get everywhere on our bikes. No worries about boys biking to harbour town, ice cream place or Harbour town on their own. Jeannie was very helpful and we appreciated the welcome gift!
We have been coming to HHI on-and-off for 35 years. Usually we came in late spring, summer or early fall and for a week at a time. This was our first experience coming for an extended period of time (5 weeks) and during the winter. We loved it! This villa fit our needs perfectly. It is open and airy and well appointed - I especially took notice of matched dishes and silverware, and a complete set of good cookware. During a five week stay, we cooked in quite a bit, as well as enjoying many BOGO (buy one get one) offers at many of the restaurants. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds, with an amazing amount of closet and storage space. The weather was good, mostly mid-50's to mid-60's, with the last three days topping out at 71 degrees. We enjoyed golf, walking to Harbour Town, walking the beach, and walking/riding the bike paths. Our miniature schnauzer adapted well and loved the longer walks that we took. Day trips included going to Parris Island, and Savannah, GA.
On the down side, it is mentioned twice in the information section under two different headings (Onsite Services and House Cleaning) that there is "Housekeeper Included". It is not; the housekeeper's job is done after the initial cleaning of the villa prior to arrival. A vacuum is on site, but no mop for damp mopping the tile floors.
The manager, Jeanie, could not have been more gracious and helpful during our stay, and surprised us with a lovely welcome gift. When I told her that the iron was "spitting water", she replaced it with a new steam iron.
We would definitely return here and would recommend it, and the Inland Harbour location in Sea Pines.
Our family had a wonderful week in Hilton Head and this villa. Great location, across the street from Sea Pines center with a couple of really good restaurants and a bike rental. A few min bike ride to Harbor town, biked to the beach and for tennis lessons as well. Well stocked kitchen, we appreciated the welcome gift, comfortable beds, spacious bed rooms with lots of closets, and the four beach chairs and umbrella. The neighborhood tennis courts were always open when we wanted to play and the pool was nice and clean. Our dog enjoyed long walks on the beach or at the Forest Preserve early mornings. We all enjoyed watching the alligator in the pond from the deck! Can highly recommend this villa!
the best part of this unit is the location.
the lagoon is full of algae, spiders in kitchen and on bed, dead roach in bathroom and hair still in dirty tub. stove top does not work. and these units must have little to no insulation. be prepared for noise from neighbors. and worse of all my yorkie who has never had fleas was covered in them from staying here. exterminators don't do their job.
We and the owners of 2448 Inland Harbour are sorry that this guest was disappointed. This is the first complaint we have received after 44 weeks of guests during the past 1.5 years.
We were surprised to hear your complaints with "bugs". We have owned an Inland Harbour villa for 13 years and Jeanie is on the Board of Directors. This is the 1st concern we have heard about bugs or the pest control service.
The owners stayed in their villa a week before you arrived and saw no bugs. No pets had stayed there in over a month. Since no one was staying in the during the week before your arrival, it is possible to find a dead roach somewhere. Sea Pines is a heavily wooded area. Despite his flea medicine, my dog attracts them every time we go outside.
The lagoon behind the villa has a fountain to prevent the build-up of algae. We checked the lagoon on 7/1 & 7/4 and saw that the fountain was working with no accumulation of algae around the edges. Perhaps the pump malfunctioned during your stay.
The stove burners were repaired in February and were in working order when the owners were in the unit. We checked their operation on 7/1 and found that 3 of the 4 burnings worked properly. The owners plan to redo their kitchen in late 2015.
You were displeased about the cleaning of one of the bathtubs. We use a cleaning service that cleans a couple hundred places every Saturday. Perhaps they did less than a perfect job, but this is the first complaint we have received from any of the 5 villas they clean for us.
Finally, you complained about noise from an adjoining villa. As with the bugs, no one that has stayed in any of our 3 Inland Harbour units has ever mentioned this problem. You must have had unusually loud neighbors. Inland Harbour has a very proactive Board of Directors, and, as with the pest control service, we cannot recall anyone raising an issue about the soundproofing between villas.
We are sorry that these annoyances disappointed this guest. However, we believe that these are isolated items hat should not detract from the vacations of future guests staying in this villa.
Good location that's it. Carpet was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I finally went to the store and bought carpet cleaner and tried to spot clean myself. Unit is fairly dated. Other than that it was clean.
tranquility at its best
We just got back from a great week at this villa. We have going to HHI for 30 years and would guess 70 times. This was our first stay at Island Harbor. The villa is a great location within the best plantation on Hilton Head in Sea Pines. A five minute walk to Harbor Town and less than a ten minute bike ride to the Beach Club. The unit was well stocked, clean and the beds were comfortable. We have been to units where after a week of sleeping on lumpy and soft mattresses you back is sore. Would highly reccommend the unit to anyone.
Fred and Myra, Thank you for your nice review.....we certainly hope you will come back and stay here again!
I loved meeting the two of you, you both are full of personality.
Inland Harbour is a small (34 units) beautifully maintained townhouse area with a terrific pool and two hard surface tennis courts. It is located in Sea Pines, one of the premier beach resorts in the country. Inland Harbour is located on the Heron Point Golf Course that was recently redesigned by Pete Dye. The Sea Pines Resort is in the process of rebuilding and expanding the Sea Pines Beach Club and the clubhouse for the Heron Point and Ocean golf courses. A new and expanded health club was recently completed in the Sea Pines Center, a short walk from Inland Harbour. Inland Harbour is also located a half mile from Harbour Town with its famous PGA tour golf course, state of the art tennis club, world famous lighthouse, shops and restaurants, all within Sea Pines.
