Welcome to your private piece of paradise. As our home is available only a few weeks in high season it is better appointed than any full time rental on the market. We are located only a few houses (6) from the best beach on Hilton Head Island and our home is lovingly furnished with our favorite finds from around the world. THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL BEACH HOUSE!!! Spacious (2200 sq ft), with new screen porch; our smoke free home in Forest Beach features a large, open living space and a great separation of sleeping areas. Just enter our home and feel the tension ease. This is one floor living at its best on the island....

NEW updates: brand newly renovated home (2017), with state of the art flooring, new kitchen and baths; 55 INCH PLASMA TV, Several New decks and screened lanai. Luxury bedding and linens.

Upon awakening to the sound of tropical birds, we invite you to enjoy your morning tea or coffee with your daily paper on one of our decks. Relax in private in our FULL SIZE swimming pool! Our uncrowded beach also awaits you and we provide all the beach stuff. We provide plenty of beach chairs and umbrella for you, but for a true delight, you can even arrange to have chairs and umbrellas rented by day or week and set up for you and taken down each day...a real luxury! Just call Shore Beach Service. Perhaps you prefer a stroll or bike ride the 8 short blocks on safe,shaded paths to Coligny Plaza; the center of activity on the island. There you will find over 60 convenient shops, restaurants and activities. Our grandkids love their daily walk up there. Had enough? Then return to the quiet, private neighborhood of your beach house. It truly is the best of both worlds at Serenity by the Sea where location, and convenience dovetail into serene space. We are so well located that some of our guests have said that they spent their entire week using bicycles instead of their car! BIKE DELIVERY and PICK UP IS EASILY ARRANGED AND AFFORDABLE. We reccommend Hilton Head Bicycle Company on 112 Arrow Rd for quality bikes. Simply call them to reserve. Your bikes will be waiting for you at the house upon check in.

Your home features a beautiful NEW eat-in kitchen, dining room and 3 outside eating areas as well. Spacious bedrooms feature a master suite (King bed), second bedroom (2 Queen), and third bedroom (1 Queen ). All the amenities you want are here: smart TV in living and master bedroom ; flat screen TV in 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. Wireless high speed secure internet for laptops, and cable service. Our concierge lives on island so we can offer 24 hour concierge service.

About Anne

Jim and I grew up in New York, travelled and lived all over the world, and still think we have found Paradise on this island! Our 3 grown kids AND SIX GRANDKIDS are starting the next generation of islanders we convene here for all family gatherings, as they consider the island their piece of heaven too...

We have been coming to the island for over 30 years and Forest Beach has retained most of its beach house character...we love the private, uncrowded beach and houses instead of condos here.

We are in all the hustle and bustle of Coligny in less than 8 minute stroll so we are the perfect blend of peace and quiet and convenience.

24 HOUR PRIVATE CONCIERGE... As a bonus, we have a local agent to provide on-call service should you need assistance. What would you do if there is a problem? Whether it is a small problem (I need more towels, etc.) to a bigger problem (the toilet flooded, etc.), with this service they will assist you. There is nothing like having the security of someone being there in the event something happens during your stay, quickly. Located on the quiet side of Coligny Plaza with DIRECT access to beach (as opposed to many South Forest Beach rentals!) Come see why the north side of Coligny is preferred!

Perfect for a True family get away!

We were so pleased with this rental home and the owners. As parents to three small boys the divided hallway from the bedrooms and the living room was great to allow the adults some time to hang out and have good conversation while not disturbing the kids at bedtime. The pool was the perfect size for us to have a night time swim or a quick dip from the hot beach and surprisingly - even with all the great shade - still gave ample sunlight. The kitchen was beautifully upgraded and in a convenient location to the outside and screened in porch. And we can not forget the great walk or bike ride to the beach, My husband and I are very athletic and were able to make a quick run on the beach happen every morning- thanks to grandparents staying with the kids. Its convenient location to Coligny Plaza was outstanding and we frequently rode our bikes in the evenings for live music and ice cream. We had one hiccup with the pool, but the Brolley's did everything in their power to ensure it didn't take away from our vacation, including getting us a room at a near by hotel just so my kids could use the pool even though it was only for a couple hours!! Their quick response and sense of urgency was very delightful and in some ways unexpected as they didn't live near by. We can't wait to visit again!

Book It!!!!

1. Susan should learn how to use a camera. I don’t recall anywhere in the description the owner claiming light capacities.

2. The standard practice BEFORE you book a place is to check out the uploaded photos. If Susan actually did that, there wouldn’t be a complaint.

3. Nowhere in the description does the owner make claims about a bathtub in the master bedroom.

4. The master bathroom is off the bedroom. There is another bathroom and shower across the hall. Susan again can’t get her story straight. And there IS a tub in the other bathroom.

5. The beds are real beds of excellent quality.

6. One recliner had a quilt. Susan makes up problems that don’t exist.

7. As far as hanging long summer dresses, inside the master bedroom there are hangers provided. Perhaps Susan should put the bottle down and look around a bit. My wife hung her three dresses up.

8. If Susan looked at the photos she would have known what the furniture looked like.

9. The family room and adjoining living room is long and spacious. Can’t imagine why she would describe it as small.

10. The screened in porch overlooks the neighbors’ yards and path to the beach. NO claims are made that it overlooks the pool area. Once again, Susan complains about something that was not stated by the owner.

11. As for construction, the owner has ZERO control when projects for other people’s homes start or finish. Yes, across the street the house was being remodeled but it had zero impact on us.

Do you see a pattern with Susan? She’s a liar. It’s entirely pathetic yet predictable with people like Susan who don’t look at what they’re renting before they purchase then try to destroy somebody’s hard earned reputation by fabricating lie after lie. But of course pathological liars don’t ever see it that way. Clearly Susan has her own issues.

This is a beautiful house and is exactly as advertised. The kitchen is new and well stocked. The screened in porch was a great feature to relax or have breakfast. The pool is large, clean and well lit. There is a large wooden deck overlooking the pool. The walk to the beach is less than two minutes. The rooms are large and roomy. The master shower is huge. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back next year!

Do yourself a favor, ignore Susan's nonsense.

Worst house EVER. Been to island 30 times. Executive couple.

This house is very, very dark and located by TWO construction sites which the owner failed to mention. It literally photographs with the same amount of natural light at 8 am versus 7 pm. It is an elderly couple's home who move out for high season to rent to friends & family who write great reviews. It is decorated as such complete with an old non-operable walk-in tub and the master sink is located in the bedroom which is nothing short of awkward and disturbing to anyone trying to sleep. The only bathtub is literally 18 inches deep. None of the "beds" are actual beds but are air mattresses on metal frames with no headboards/sideboards which are quite unstable and uncomfortable. Recliners are covered in quilt blankets that look to catch leaky bladders and they lock up every closet (and more) in the house for the personal things while they temporarily move out. The only one open closet is the utility closet with the water heater and it can not hold a single long summer dress. We have friends on the island and come regularly so we are usually there for events like a wedding or graduation. I literally had nowhere to hang my formal dress. Fortunately, it was just me and my spouse, so I laid it on one of the spare bedroom air mattresses. The garage is packed with their real furniture and belongings. We took pictures of the broken drawers and mismatched furniture. You are not renting a beautiful home. When we questioned the owner about the discrepancies, she replied she reported it as comfortable. The kitchen is separate from the small family/living room but it has been remodelled. The screened in room overlooks the construction, not the swimming pool, so don't be fooled into thinking this is a comfortable place to sit. Even without the double construction, there is just the street below that lacks a view of anything interesting. The owner did say we could leave the following day as she had a friend coming to the island but we couldn't find any other place on a Saturday night and every legitimate place was closed on Sunday. When we found a place on Monday, the owner made a ridiculous offer to keep the majority of our money and sent her friend/property manager to the home UNANNOUNCED to clean the locked closets as if we wanted to do that or have the refrigerator repair guy there on vacation. I guess if we weren't there she would have came right on in. This is the worse house ever. Buyer beware of friendly reviews.

Owner's Response: Respectfully, this is the first time in ten years that we have have experienced such a vindictive and personally insulting renter who was less than truthful in her comments about our home. TO NOTE: 1. Our beds are top of the line innerspring mattresses which our guests report as wonderful, and 2. We provide more than ample hanging space in all bedrooms. 3. Our screened lanai is not listed overlooking the pool. 4. “Construction sites” mentioned such as the re-siding of home across the street and the re roofing 2 houses away had no large equipment on site at anytime. 5. We have all kind of lighting in our home and have never been told that it is dark? 6. Finally, FULL refund was offered on Sunday if departed by Monday noon, (with no response ) and 50% refund offered if departed by Tuesday. After receiving complaint about the lack of hanging space early on Sunday morning, the concierge went over to offer a solution but was rudely turned away. We then received an e mail stating this renter was cutting off all communication with us. We then contacted VRBO for suggestion as to how to handle this situation. The suggestion was to offer one night’s fee for lack of closet space, which we changed to 50 % of weekly rental. What ensued were e mails which can only be construed as personal and unprofessional assaults. There was no possibility of a solution. To our future prospective guests, We ask you to read all of our FIVE STAR reviews for the last ten years for our home which demonstrate that this review is an anomaly . Thank you. Anne and Jim

We have nothing but good things to say about the house, location, owners, etc. The house exceeded expectations and the owners are wonderful - in contact with us about everything and immediately responsive to questions and/or concerns (not that there were any concerns).

Absolutely beautiful!

This home is like a home away from home! It has everything one could ever need! Very close walk to the beach, shopping, restaurants and the pool is a great amenity!

The owners and property managers are extremely attentive and quick to respond to any needs. My 4yo son left his new stuffed animal at the house the morning we left. Within 1-2 hours of me emailing the owners, he was on his way back home. The property manager went above and beyond to send me pictures to show him that he was safe and on his way (Including a picture in the car with a seat belt on and at the post office going into the package!). TOTAL life saver!!

Amazing place to stay at Hilton Head Island!

This was the perfect vacation rental for our family (adults and 2 babies). We enjoyed being so close to the beach, bike bath, and numerous restaurants and shops. As mentioned in previous comments, pictures do not do this house justice. It is so spacious with great outdoor living areas. It also has every amenity you could possibly need, which made packing a lot lighter. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this vacation rental. We would love to rent it again in the future!
