2 Bedroom 2 Bath Waterfront Cottage. Quick access to Black water sound.

Great place to get away and relax. Close to many fine restaurants and 5 minutes from Pennecamp state park. Come and enjoy the triple canal view. We now have direct TV.We are close to Black water sound and many great attractions. A fantastic place to just sit by the dock and unwind. If you book during Hurricane season June 01 to November 30 you may cancel your reservation for a full refund if it is reported that a Hurricane is threatening the Florida Keys during you stay.

I have made a list of some places you might enjoy visiting. -Gilberts Resort (305)451-1133 Food, music and a small beach. I have often seen dolphin swimming off the beach. -Pilot House Restaurant (305)451-3142 Good food and it has a glass bottom bar thats cool to see. -Robbies Marina (305)664-8498 This place is in Islamorada but its worth the trip. Food fishing and snorkeling trips. -Theater of the Sea (305) 664-2431 great place to spend the day. Lots of excellent shows. -Everglades Alligator Farm(305)247-2628 This is in Homestead Florida but it is a must see. Lots of great shows. -John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park (305)451-6300 This park is very close buy and has alot to offer. The addmission is $4.00 to the park. You can also book Scuba tours, Snorkeling trips, Rental boats and Glass bottom boat tours here. - There are many supermarkets and stores close buy. The Winn dixie has a Redbox video rental if you brought your laptop.

This little piece of paradise is just what we were looking for in Key Largo. I would definitely return and would recommend this rental to others.

I honestly wish I could do negative stars....this was a horrible stay.

Being a rental home I expected a clean home to bring my family to like the reviews said. The guest bathroom had a bar of soap in the shower with hair all over it so we knew then it hadn't been cleaned. The master bathroom had strands of hair under the bathroom rug. I immediately started searching for cleaning products so I could feel a little better since we did not have an option but to stay here since I spent my money on this place already. I contacted the owner and he said he would send the cleaners over, but I told him I already handled it to ensure it was sanitary for my 2 year old. I went to make a pot of coffee and there was an old filter with molded coffee on it and the coffee pot was still TURNED ON! I notified the owner and he said the property management would bring a new coffee pot over. I waited as we did not want our stuff left alone with them since obviously they are not a reputable company, but it took forever and multiple times of asking when he was coming as I stayed the entire day away from my family waiting for him. In this time the light bulb went out in the guest bathroom and it was no rush at all to help us out, so we had to change it ourselves. When I noticed the property manager was next door I went over thinking he was cleaning that place and asked about the coffee pot and light bulb and told him I was supposed to let him know what had happened about the cleaning, as the owner told me to, and this man said "I can't do anything about it now" and basically shut the door. Come to find out he lives there and none of this was handled timely. He eventually came over with a 5 cup coffee maker (the original was 10 cup so had to make 2 pots each morning) and just handed it to a guest outside. Not once did he offer to come set it up or remove the old one. I reminded him about the light bulb, and once again, handed us a light bulb for us to do it ourselves. The window sill was full of dirt or termite poop not sure exactly what it was but it was filthy. I have photos to prove this. I spent my vacation chasing down answers, property management, cleaning a house that should've been ready for guests, and also worrying if we should really be staying here. I got my deposit back but just feel like something more should have been done. We had bites on us, severe enough we had to go get my daughter treated. The bug guy said nothing was there, but there was obviously. The owner said it must be something outside but it was inside for sure.

Owner's Response: This guest was a real challenge to a property owner. Her first complaint was the old bar of soap that she found. I apologized for the error and contacted my cleaning service to voice her complaint. Then I was told of the hair she found under the mat in the bathroom, I again apologized and contacted the cleaning service but a hair under the mat I found that a little unusual. Next I received a message about a " ton of little black bugs found in the house". I had my exterminator respond immediately. When he inspected the premise along with the guest he found nothing. I was amazed that after the reported ":ton of black bugs" there was not one found alive or dead. I was also told that these bugs were responsible for her daughters severe bites. It seems no one else had bites from these mysterious bugs and that they could be the only insects responsible because there were no other bugs around outside in south Florida in the summer by the water...really. Then the coffee pot was found. When I contacted the cleaning service again the owner was so sorry he personally purchased a new one and dropped it off. Had I known that she would have trouble with the install ( plug it in) and the old pot removal ( throw it out) I would have asked him to assist.I was also contacted about the condition that there was no light in the guest bathroom. Before I could send someone to check out the problem I was told that the guests husband had to change the light bulb " with his own tools". I was grateful for his help. The property manager that this guest speaks of is not a property manager but the owner of the cleaning service that went out of his way to try to help her with her stay and his reward was she followed him to his house to attempt to vent on him. This stay was for a special price of $700 a week I give during the summer months 2 bedrooms 2 baths at a property on the water with a dock for $100 a night, I don't believe I deserved this treatment or this review but I think the true motive of the guest is clear at the end of her review when she states that she received her deposit back but she felt something more could have been done. I am sure there is a website somewhere that tells people to complain as much as possible when they utilize a service and they will receive some sort of free compensation, very sad.

Floridian with a world traveler heart

Great home by the water!!

Behind the dock at a distance you can see a church and lightly hear the bells and songs from a far when you are outside, its beautiful. There are manatees in the water that come up to the dock. You can canoe, paddle board and do any water activities right in front of the house including fishing!! Near by supermarkets and right accross John Penne camp National Park.

House is cozy and you can eat in the house with water view or outside by the dock.

Will definitely stay here again!

House was comfortable and clean. The view was AMAZING! Church down the canal played music every day at dinner time. Caught seabass, snapper, and Cuda in the canal. Nice covered porch for the kids to play in. Can't get any better in the keys for the price. Owner is friendly. We will be back! Had a GREAT time!

Perfect place to stay, very clean, had everything we needed . five star!! The view was perfect sitting on the deck over the water.Nice people all around us. Met frank and his wife the owners, excellent people ! I would definitely stay again! I would recommend this place to stay for sure. Very close to all the restaurants and shops. Thank you very much for having us . See you next year!!!!!
