Welcome to ‘Hughes Maui Condo’ – ground floor unit #113 of building 10 at the Kamaole Sands Resort. This is a beautifully renovated 1 bedroom condo with 2 full bathrooms and very nice furnishings throughout.

Our condo is located on the walk-out first floor level of the Kamaole Sands Resort just 100 yards from Kamaole #3 Beach, one of the best beaches in the world! There you will find great snorkeling, diving, swimming, boarding and sunbathing. Building 10 is *the closest* to the beautiful Kamaole 3 beach!

We limit our one bedroom condo to a maximum of 2 adults, but it will also accommodate 1-2 small children. The condo is a spacious 818 sq. feet (76 sq. meters) not including the extra large lanai and has beautiful tile floors throughout.

This complex has the rare combination of a great pool and great tennis courts. World class golf awaits you within minutes at the Wailea and Makena golf courses or via a short drive to many other courses including Kapalua Plantation and Kaanapali. World-class surfing is also nearby. This unit is a short walk to several restaurants, bars and small shops. It is located near exquisite island dining, and the 'Shops of Wailea’. The Kihei boat dock and daily trips to Molokini are just a short walk from the unit. 'Hughes Maui Condo' is an all-around great choice!

This unit was formerly known as ‘Boone 5 Condo’ and logged over 71 5-star reviews since 2009. We pride ourselves on continually updating and upgrading the condo to keep so it keeps getting better and better for our guests. Please see our owner information section to get to know who we are.

The renovation includes all new stainless steel kitchen appliances, new kitchen cabinets, new countertops, new lighting system throughout, new vanities in each bathroom, new fixtures, tile, etc. You'll love our new bedroom suite, California King bed with a Serta Premium mattress, the distinctive Plantation shutters and new 32” flat screen HDTV. We have also installed a new Whirlpool Duet washer/dryer unit. Old wicker furniture has been replaced with new furniture which surround a 46' Sharp Aquos Flat screen HDTV. Now that the fiber optic upgrade is complete, enjoy free ultra high speed wireless internet in the condo and on our extra-large lanai that has all new furniture in October 2013. Use your Netflix and iTunes/Spotify/Pandora accounts and enjoy.

About Lindy and Bob Hughes

Aloha! We are Lindy and Bob Hughes and are the proud new owners of this beautiful Maui condo. We were lucky enough to purchase this beautiful condo from the Boone family in 2013. When we discovered this unit, we immediately fell in love with it and we know you will too. Lindy and her family have very deep roots in Hawaii. Maui is especially deep in her heart since this is where her parents met and attended High School. Her family eventually moved to Honolulu where Lindy was born. Maui was also our honeymoon choice, and we share a deep love for this island. Today we have two daughters and three sons and live in Portland, Oregon. We are fortunate to be one short flight away from beautiful Maui and visit whenever we can. Our guests benefit from our 15+ years of experience as customers of VRBO and we strive to provide them with a truly wonderful experience that make them feel that our condo is an extension of their own home. Why Lindy and Bob Hughes chose South Maui

We have vacationed many times in Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai, but love Maui and the Kihei / Wailea region the most. We love the many beautiful beaches on this side of the island where it tends to be less crowded and sunnier than the west. We enjoy the many quirky bars and restaurants and small shops on South Kihei Road that we can walk to from our condo. We have always been very impressed with the manicured grounds of the 15 acre Kamaole Sands Resort and the helpful and friendly staff that take great care of the complex and make continuous improvements. The walls, floors and ceilings of the buildings in this complex are concrete with tile rooftops and this high quality construction keeps the units quiet and comfortable. Kihei and Wailea shopping is great for everyday needs as well as designer shops, and specialty shops for those unique 'one of a kind' items. Kamaole Sands is just 20 minutes from many other shopping opportunities in Kahului as well as its conveniently located international airport. This is a great all around location for that we are very proud of!

What makes this condo unique

Most of all, we love being so close to the beautiful Kamaole 2 and 3 Beaches. As often as we can, we walk 3 minutes down to the beach to watch the sunset. In the wintertime, whales really put on a show right in your own backyard! Take a swim or go snorkeling off our beach, and you can swim with the turtles and triggerfish! You have many choices for fantastic local dining in Kihei/Wailea, or if you want, you can cook outside just a few yards from the Lanai. And, with our modern and well-stocked kitchen, cooking in the condo and eating on the ground floor lanai is a real treat! We absolutely love to sit out on the large lanai and enjoy the beautiful fountains, pond, beautiful park-like setting and amazing ocean view – we feel that this location has it all!

Excellent value. Clean. Well maintained. Plenty of amenities. Extras. Just 100 yards from Kamaole III shores makes it convenient for a wake up swim when it is placid like a lake. Typical afternoon winds dies out between "tea time" and sunset.

This was our second year in a row staying at Bob and Lindy's condo and we couldn't have been happier with everything! The moment we walked in, we felt as if were home! This condo has all the comforts of home plus the added benefit of being in Maui! There are not enough good things to say about Bob and Lindy and their attention to detail! We would have booked for 2018 already but we need a bigger condo next year as there will be 6 of us rather than 2! Thank you, Bob and Lindy!

Fabulous condo and facilities, plus the beach is right across the street!

Felt like home from the very moment we walked in the door for the first time! What a perfect way to start a month's vacation! Beautifully decorated and updated condo! Being on the ground floor was so convenient. BBQs were just around the corner which made cooking so easy. Well stocked lanai closet provided all the beach items we could ever need. We would definitely stay in this unit again!

Hands down best rental condo we've ever stayed in! 6 star property!

This condo is AMAZING, I can't say enough good things about it. But I'll try! ;) The hosts were super communicative + responsive. The property was immaculate and very well stocked. We appreciated the welcome package of wine + coffee, but also loved that the fridge was very clean but stocked with common condiments and staples. So often rental condo fridges are empty, when you KNOW that someone before you must have bought a bottle of mustard or jam and used half of it and it got thrown away, so nice not to have to buy all those things. Not to mention plastic bags, tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. And toilet paper! We've stayed at so many places that leave you with one roll and then you have to stock up yourself. :) The kitchen also contains everything you need, including a rice cooker, teapot, slow cooker, and really good knives. The whole apartment is very clean, well cared for, and very comfortable. Loved the lanai, and especially the overstocked lanai closet, full of coolers, good beach chairs, nice beach towels, and tons of sand toys for our daughter. The complex itself is beautifully kept, and we enjoyed our afternoons at the pool when returning from the day's beach adventures. The kiddie pool + family hot tub are especially great. And the mai tai Wednesday afternoon pool party was also a treat. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend this property!

Kamaole Sands Condo Resort

Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely condo Bob and Lindy. It was a very comfortable stay during our vacation. When we arrived we were greeted with chocolate covered macadamia nuts, Maui coffee, wine and a sweet welcome card. The condo had everything for us during our 9 day stay and as stated on the details the beach is truly steps away from the condo. Kamaole Beach III was a beautiful beach where we were able to watch a sunrise and many sunsets. The resort is really quiet as well for how busy it was during the day. Wednesday is live music and Mai Tai's at the resort pool which was an awesome surprise. Thank you again and I will certainly share with my friends about the place for any of their future visits.
