This unique location is just minutes north of Main Street and International Blvd. on north Daytona Beach. The Condominium is directly across the street from a Mall containing a Ruby Tuesday's restaurant, a Dennys, and a PUblix supermarket plus many other shops and eating establishments.

The condominium unit is on the third floor overlooking two pools, one heated, a Ticki bar, and a baby pool.

The smoke-free unit has two queen size beds in the bedroom, and a fold out full size sofa bed in the living room. All linens, and a kitchen with a two burner cooktop, microwave, sink, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils is provided. Covered parking available.

Presently the balcony is closed for access from inside the unit due to damage suffered in hurricane Mathew. Repairs will begin after the summer season. No damage was done to the inside and the unit has been renting.

Nothing fancy, but everything that's promised... definitely a value.

When we arrived at the property, the front desk where you get your keys was aware of us coming and extremely helpful. We were able to park very close to our condo entrance even though it was on the 3rd floor. The parking is secure and covered. Walking into the unit, there's a small living room, dining area and kitchen, then the bedroom with queen beds and the bathroom are in the back half. You cannot walk out on the porch because of some structural damage, they have all the porches blocked off and it doesn't look like the association has plans to fix it in the near future, but the view from the window is awesome. You are right on the beach and can see both swimming pools below. The furniture is quite basic, but in good shape and clean. Be prepared to wash your towels every day because you have no service and the towels are limited, but what do you expect for the price and the laundry room is only 50 feet from the condo. The facility also has restaurants, a bar, an exercise room, etc. Denny's and a strip mall is across the street. The owner should retake the pictures because it's better than posted, but that's the point, it is not fancy, but it is worth every penny you pay for it and there is ZERO misleading in regards to what is promised.

Needs improvements

I’ll start with the good things: the location is great, both of the room and the resort itself, and the price is affordable, despite the additional fees (cleaning and VRBO).The rooms are spacious, and having two TVs is fantastic.

The not so good things: the cleanliness of the room could really be improved, in particular the kitchen, supplies (e.g dish drier-dirty) and the living room furniture. The couch and chairs look very unsanitary, I had to cover them with blankets (which are stained but at least get washed sometimes) to be able to use them. Also, a strong smell permeated the condo through most of our stay, -must have been that something burned in the kitchen when previous guests stayed there, but I think it could have been remedied with deep cleaning an air fresheners.

There is currently no access to balcony after the last years storm, as well as in many other rooms, and it doesn’t look like it will be repaired soon. In general, the resort is in a pretty declining condition. We’ve been coming here for 9 years, and this year it’s much worse than usually. The elevators take really, really long times to arrive, you could always see a crowd of people complaining about it in the lobby. Luckily, this room has advantage in that you can take the stairs easily. I usually do love staying the DBR and wish it well though, hopefully my review for the condo as well as the resort will be considered to make improvements!

Owner's Response: I passed this on to my cleaning people. They said the rentors before these people did a lot of cooking and they aired it out the best they could with no balcony access. They and I disagree that the furniture looks unsanitary. The balcony restoration will begin this fall. I have rented this place close to full capacity since it reopened in January with very few complaints. The association is supposed to offer us a new furniture package however it has been postponed with the Hurricane restoration work. When it is available I plan to upgrade. In the meantime I'm keeping my rates extremely reasonable. You can't make all the people happy all the time.

Really good place to stay!

Everything was very clean when we arrived. Everything was supplied so we did not have to bring much. Overall a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again!

Best room out of all

We loved our stay. Robert is great to work with. Room was very clean. We stay there every year for 2 weeks. And we had the nicest room out of our family. Can't wait for next year.

Needs a good cleaning

This condo has a great location but needs a very good thorough cleaning from floor to ceiling front to back. We went to Kohls and bought new sheets, pillow cases, and blankets for the beds as the linens were nasty and worn out. We were there for 10 nights and couldn't sleep on the old ones. Ugh. Had to leave them behind as no room to bring them home in our suitcases. Owner didn't even acknowledge our 'gift'. Wish he would invest some elbow grease into the unit. He seems to do the bare minimum to keep it rentable. This was our fifth stay at DBR but first time renting this unit, and we will rent from a different owner next year.

Owner's Response: I called my cleaning lady and she said she thought I had put the new sheets in. I didn't know there were new sheets. She agreed the unit could use a deep cleaning so we've scheduled one for the first open date I have in August. All unit owners are going to be offered a complete upgrade in the near future, which I plan to purchase. This is the 15th Rentor I've had this year so far and the only such complaint I've received. I think the measures I plan to take will resolve this complaint.
