About Jade Stevenson
The Stevenson family purchased this property in 2003 and have enjoyed large events with family and friends gathering for the last decade. Only recently have they decided to open this very unique property up for rental to clients seeking luxury accommodations in a tranquil and private setting.
Jade Stevenson purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2003
Why Jade Stevenson chose La Conception
This is a most unique property in the Laurentian Mountains of Northern Quebec. The 230 acre domaine is a four-season playground packed with features and opportunities for endless adventures and exploration.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The grounds are impeccable boasting many varieties of plants and trees and wildlife. Whether you plan to sit under a tree and read a book, fly fish for trout, or play a competitive game of beach volleyball with friends, this is the ideal location. The two private lakes offer the option to go kayaking or canoeing, fishing or swimming (non-motorized only) or just lazing around on the docks. The massive fire pits at the lakes offer the opportunity to gather large groups around a blazing fire in the quiet and serenity of the Laurentian outdoors. Families of white-tailed deer have also made their home at La Forêt Stevenson and are curious to meet new visitors to the property. For those explorers who visit la forêt there are endless places to discover, including ancient caves and challenging cliffs.

We were very impressed from top to bottom. From an operations stand point, all items needed to make our stay comfortable were readily available in plain site. While the location was close enough to the slopes to keep us busy and tucked away enough that we felt we had enough privacy for everyone in the party. Appreciated the occasional check in from Jade to ensure we were comfortable, and loved how responsive the management company led by David was with any request. The house is well done, smaller than the images present but definitely not small. The living room is to die for, spent most of our time there. Well done Jade and we look forward to doing this again very soon.
Part of siding was not on house and looked a bit disheveled.
The house was amazing and we really enjoyed our stay . So much that I will look into booking our next retreat in the spring and summer . We did have the leaking bathroom that took a few hours of our stay to take care of . Also there were two bathrooms that didn’t lock or close properly which wasn’t convenient as we had a house full of leaders from across the map who didn’t know each other .
Other than that the house was beautiful , we loved all the levels and room we had to have small gatherings in all rooms as well as the fireplace room to do presentations .
Great property for sure :)
During November we normally do upgrades to our property because it is the quieter season. In this case we had removed the facia boards, gutters and downspouts in order to replace them. A shipping delay meant that we were not able to re-install in time for this particular rental, which is why it looked the way it did. This has now been completed and the exterior looks great once again! We have also recently put a brand new beautiful roof on our home.
The property manager has checked all the locks and doors and adjusted to make sure all are working properly. The small pipe leak was also found and addressed.
When things go wrong we pride ourselves in a lightening fast response rate.
We believe in keeping the highest standards for our home, which is constantly being inspected and given a 4-star rating by CITQ (tourism Québec).

Wonderful place to celebrate my dad's 70th!
We had a lovely time at this welcoming home. Plenty of space for the 13 of who came out to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday.
The lakes were just gorgeous and between them, the trampoline, hot tub and fire pit we had plenty to keep the kids happy. Not to mention that Mt Tremblant had soooo much to do. David, the house manager, was very responsive to any question or issue we had. Hope we make it back soon!
Fabulous home - there was no detail missed!
We had an Operations team meeting in May 2017 and everyone loved it. The accommodations and property were beautiful. The home is extremely well equipped, comfortable, clean - perfect really!
Our only question is 'where is the lake?'. We searched for it and by the looks for google maps, it requires a drive and then fairly long hike to find it. Did we miss something?
To answer about the location of the lakes, you will find both lakes by walking or driving up our private 3 km road. The signs are clearly marked with the names of each lake.
Lake Auger is the first one you come to, which is a right turn off the road and then about 200 meters away. The other lake, which is a left turn off the road (200 meters) is Lac de la Tuque. Both lakes are accessible by car or by foot and there is parking available for 2 or 3 cars and a turnaround area. If you are packing a cooler for the day, it is better to drive as they are a 15 minute and 25 minute walk respectively.
Lac de la Tuque is the bigger lake and has more boats at the dock. Lac Auger is a little more secluded and is great for rowing beneath the 600 foot cliff looking up at the mountaintop home.
The docks at each lake are identical. Both are quite large and have plenty of space to relax and enjoy on the dock or on the sandy shore.
Beautiful home and amazing overall experience!
Great experience from start to finish. The home is stunning and was perfect for our big group. The location is quiet and has everything you need for a weekend getaway. Thank you again to Jade, Chelsey and David for the perfect stay.
Perfect for our winter girls get away. The cottage is beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. Jade was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I will definitely be renting it out again.
