Guestbook comments from the manager

This vacation property was definitely a "home away from home". Perfect for a single family, or large enough to easily accommodate two or three families; there is plenty of space for all ages to kick back and relax. I cannot say enough about the amenities of this house: it has everything to offer. The kitchen comes fully loaded with all standard appliances making cooking for yourself simple. The entire home is recently renovated, clean, and comfortable. The play set out back kept my young children happily occupied when they just needed some play time. This location is close enough to make day trips into Halifax but far enough away to have a break from the busy city life, if that is what you are looking for. The views from the lake are absolutely stunning.

We found this property to provide everything we required for a wonderful weekend away. It is the perfect location to use to sight see in Nova Scotia or simply have a quiet, peaceful sort of vacation. Thanks for sharing your great home with us.

A wonderful home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

The house was amazing, large, well planned and easily accommodated our four couples. Everything we needed for a pleasant stay was available. The kitchen was magnificent and some great meals were planned and prepared around the large island and with a view of the lake. The amenities were thoughtful and everything we could have imagined we might need was available to us. The property was lovely and many a morning and evening were spent on the large deck with a view of the lake. Todd was a great host and met us upon arrival with lots of information about what to do and where to go for fun. The location could not have been better.....close to Halifax but in a lovely quiet and rural setting that afforded us the pleasure of a country stay with access to town or city as we desired. If we return to Nova Scotia we would hope to be returning as well to this lovely property!

A wonderful introduction to the Maritimes

  • 5 of 5

My mother, my best friend and I spent four wonderful days in Todd's home in Halifax. It was our first trip to the Maritimes and Todd's property was the best introduction we could have had. The house was immaculate. I wish I could have transported the kitchen back to my home in Edmonton. The upgrades were beautiful. The view of the lake was very relaxing and there was plenty of room for we three ladies to spread out. A vacation is so much more enjoyable when you have a "home base" and aren't returning to a hotel every night. Believe it or not, you can get tired of eating in restaurants and it's nice to have the ability to cook leisurely meals. I took several pictures of the house to share with friends and I wouldn't be surprised if some of them decide on a Maritimes holiday in the future. Thank you, Todd!

Awesome well equipped waterfront home

  • 5 of 5

Lovely modern house with plenty of facilities, bedrooms, great features including man cave/movie room, sun lounge, open plan kitchen. Awesome large back garden with kids play set and lakefront access with complimentary kayaks, PFD's, etc. We had two families with four children stay for a week in June and had a wonderful time. Everything we could have wished for (including good weather). Very well thought out and great support from Todd with all the little extra touches that made our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything.

FANTASTIC HOUSE, WONDERFUL STAY!!

  • 5 of 5

Can't recommend this VRBO rental highly enough. There were 4 of us staying there, and we absolutely loved it. It is spotless, the beds were super comfy, lots of space; each person had their own privacy when needed. Todd was very accommodating when we needed help with the printer to print out our passports, coming over and fixing the problem. We wouldn't use any other VRBO when we go back to Nova Scotia! We were there for our daughter's Dalhousie Grad, and it was so close to Halifax. The spot was perfect, with calming views to the lake, and so very quiet. A real gem. Thank you so much for everything!

What a treasure!

  • 5 of 5

Just by chance we found this great property near Halifax, our winter vacation destination. This waterfront property is amazing, and way more than we expected. The location is peaceful and serene, yet convenient to all the sites we wanted to visit. The amenities are plentiful, and we were not lacking anything. Even though we made a very last minute reservation, during winter for a 1 week stay, Todd was very accommodating and helpful in every way.

Being from Hawaii, and loving Canada, we came to enjoy the winter weather and explore the beauty of the eastern side of Canada. We loved every bit of our stay.

Thank you Todd for your warm hospitality in the middle of winter!

Aloha from Honolulu, Hawaii!

Very positive experience with this rental. We had a last minute booking due to a death in the family, and we travelled from Winnipeg, MB. Todd was very accommodating and made the booking painless given the circumstances of our trip. The property is close to Cole Harbour and has everything you could ever need. If you want to relax, it's peaceful and scenic. Thanks again Todd for your hospitality, and I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
