Incredible lakefront view property!

One year old executive home with all the amenities you need for a fabulous lake retreat! Perfect for a large family, several families, a girls’ getaway or even a corporate retreat.

Enjoy a view of beautiful Lake Whatcom from the living room, kitchen/dining room, master suite, plus 3 more upper bedrooms – no matter where you are in the house you’ll feel the tranquility of the lake.

The house was designed as a retreat, with comfort and relaxation in mind. The kitchen is fully stocked, part of an open space living/ dining area for maximum social time. Everything is high end. Enjoy coffee in the morning sun on the front patio, or find respite in the cool shade on the wrap around deck. A separate “rainy day” entertainment includes Playstation, Netflix and DVD's, stereo with speakers throughout the main floor and balcony. And of course, Wifi access.

The semi private dock and sandy pebble beach area are perfect for swimming or relaxing in the sun, or for a bonfire and marshmallow roast in the evening.

45 minutes from the Vancouver border, 25 mins south of Bellingham, 2 hours from Seattle – easy access to the quietest, deepest, cleanest end of this beautiful lake. Country stores, pizza & deli nearby. Sudden Valley golf course is 6 minutes away or shop at Seattle Premium Outlet mall, just 45 minutes away.

The house is 4500 square feet in total. The space you would be renting is 3000 square feet. There is a caretaker on site in an apartment above the 3 car garage.

If you need additional space there is also a fully contained suite in the lower level facing the lake that can be rented. It sleeps 4 people for $250/night.

About Tracy

Our family lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. We have close friends in the Bellingham area whom we got to know while camping when we were younger (35 years ago ;)). They introduced us to Lake Whatcom and we have never looked back. We purchased this property on Lake Whatcom because it is so peaceful and beautiful and as a bonus it is only 1.5 hours from our home so we are able to enjoy our lake house much more often than if we had to travel on a ferry or drive for many hours.

Tracy purchased this house in 1997

Why Tracy chose Washington State

We had been looking for a property on beautiful Lake Whatcom for 13 years before finding this perfect property 7 years ago. What took so long was finding a property with the view we wanted that had no road between the lake and the house.

The property had an old single wide mobile home which we used for several years and have fond memories of our 'days before the house was built'. The house is amazing but the property location and view was amazing with just the mobile home as it would be even in a tent :).

What makes this house unique

The SPECTACULAR view, 200 feet of waterfront and no road in between the lake and the house as well as the many water activities we can enjoy; boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming, paddle boating, paddle boarding, wind surfing, kayaking and canoeing.

A month at the lake

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented the house for the month of October. Our daughter's wedding was nearby at Moon Mountain Lodge and this home was the perfect spot for us along with several out of town family members.

The location is close enough to Bellingham to provide for easy trips to town, but far away enough to really feel out in the country. The lake is everything you might imagine when you picture "Mountain Lake." The house is on the less inhabited south end of Lake Whatcom and has an incredible view along the length of the lake to the north. Just about every room frames a great view of the lake and the decks are wonderful spots too.

The house is almost new and very well supplied and maintained. The design is open and warm with lots of comfortable spots to relax. Finishes, fixtures, and appliances are all high end and very tastefully chosen. Attention to detail is found from the beautiful design of the house to the thoughtful amenities placed throughout to add to visitors comfort and enjoyment.

All and all....a pretty perfect lake house. Thanks for everything Tracy!

Perfect week at Lake Whatcom (again!)

  • 5 of 5

For the second year in a row, we spent a week with family friends in this gorgeous house. The view is unparalleled, you can't take your eyes off of it. The house is full of upgrades and was super comfy for the 8 of us.

Having access to a boat dock was a big bonus, really nice to tie the boat up out front at the end of a long day on the lake.

See you next year!

Fabulous Waterfront View

  • 5 of 5

3 generations spent 5 nights here. 6 adults and 4 children ten and under.

The home is new and very nicely designed and layed out with all but kids bunk room having beautifull views of the lake. I mean beautifull views.

High quality finishes throuhhout and beautiful large deck to sit and enjoy the view. Games room downstairs with air hockey and Foosball table to distract the kids.

We enjoyed the kayaks, pedal boat and canoe. Something for all ages.

A bit of a climb from beach to house but not bad and makes for the great views.

Beach is very easy access for swimming although we would have liked a longer dock to get to deeper water.

Great location on lake at quiet south end. Very gracious owner.

We had great long days, but our stay was too short. Will plan better next time.

Idyllic Family Friendly Lakehouse + Property

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed a wonderful summertime week with two other families and our collective 4 young children. This property is located in a quiet part of the lake surrounded by either expansive lake views or towering trees. Entire home is geared for enjoyment: open concept kitchen on to living room allowing for together-ness during relaxation/cooking, two areas in home for children geared for different type activities (electronic, board game, TV, table sports, etc), multiple decks for outdoor relaxation, sports gear provided for our outdoor athletic pursuits. Well appointed and fully appliance provisioned kitchen. Natural light filled home with tastefully light decoration that exudes an enjoyment + vacation mindset. Sandy and pebbly shore for access to the lake was perfect for our little ones. Bonus too was the forested property opposite across the road for blackberry foraging with our kiddos. Beyond the wonderfully designed home and property were the thoughtful and attentive owners who made great strides to ensure our enjoyment. They were patient with my couple of calls during our visit too. Unequivocally recommendable vacation get-away. We are lucky the owners shared their wonderful home for our summer rental.

A perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

All I can say was "Wow!" My husband and I treated ourselves on a weekend getaway....and what a treat it was. We were impressed with the comfort of this well appointed home and the magnificent surroundings of the Lake Whatcom. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcome by the ground's keeper who was helpful to provide us with information of the home and the surrounding area. We were left to explore the house and grounds and all it has to offer. Each bedroom had access to its own private deck that will provide you with a magnificent viewpoint of Lake Whatcom. Peaceful and secluded...it was just what we needed and hoped for. The master bedroom was equipped with a comfortable king size bed, a fireplace that faces both the bedroom as well as the en-suite bath. We felt so spoiled to have the use of our very own made-for-two soaker tub while watching the crackling fire. The gourmet kitchen contained everything a chef would need. We felt the owner was especially thoughtful to supply items such as Tupperware containers and water bottles in case an excursion is in the plans. We had a wonderful time and can't say enough about our time here...looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful home on Lake Whatcom

  • 5 of 5

We had a party of 8 (5 adults/3 kids) and spent a long weekend here in May. Everyone fit very comfortably, the home is absolutely gorgeous, and the owner was VERY, VERY accommodating. We loved, loved, loved the views, which can be enjoyed from multiple decks. This was our very first Lake Whatcom experience and it made a huge impression on us. Everyone had such a great time and loved the location so much that we ended up buying a house just down the street a few months later.
