This location, apartment and manager is the best. We stayed for 15 days and couldn't ask for any better. Highly recommend! Very secure. And just minutes from the Kotel (Western Wall) and Jaffa Gate. Small grocery store at the corner for those last minute needs. Lots of shopping walking distance from the apartment. Teddy Park is right around the corner if you have kids. Secured parking if you drive a car. If you like shopping, the Mamilla Mall has it. Along with places to eat. Thumbs up Sam! Thank you!
Comfortable, quiet, clean and perfectly located!
I've stayed at many rentals during my travels and have learned to look for several things that are essential for my stay - comfort, quiet, clean and location - and this apartment exceeded my criteria in all ways! Highly recommended and this will be my go to place when next in Jerusalem.
Very centrally located, not much to look at
The apartment is very centrally located; really close to sights of the Old City. Sam was very responsive and helpful (very clear directions on entry, operation of apartment). The decor is definitely minimal--I think "luxury" is a bit of an overstatement. There was also an "electricity charge" -- payable in cash -- that Sam adds after you accept the rental. In my first email exchange this was $5 a day but then went up to $7 at the end of the trip. This won't break the bank, but do make sure to adjust your price estimate accordingly.
Fabulous location and great service
My elderly parents were going to Jerusalem and we discussed the merits of hotel vs VRBO. They chose VRBO and the stay at Sam Caplan's place could not have been better. From managing the numerous last minute messages, organizing the driver for airport pickup and being available if needed. The service was amazing. Boris, the driver helped them navigate the lock and key system and even helped them figure out how to connect to the internet. They loved the proximity to Jaffa gate, the old city and all of the sights and particularly liked sitting in the patio amongst the blossoming trees. Thank you!

Great 1 Bedroom VERY Close to Old City Jaffa Gate
Very nice 1 Bedroom. View is out to Mamilla Mall and Street. Owner keeps the place very nice. My update suggestions are:
Bring everything you need, not much in kitchen supplies for Coffee, Tea, etc.
Bring Hair supplies and Bath supplies none provided
UPGRADE to Property
The property could use a couple of Suit Case Racks/tables. No place to set suit cases except floor.
I would stay their again for a visit to the OLD City, no question about it!!!!
Very close (500 meters) to the Old City of Jerusalem and also the Western Wall plus the Mamilla shopping mall
