Overview

About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom 900 Sq Ft, Resort Amenities

The location is premium with our large 900 Square foot 1-bedroom updated corner condo! Located in the desirable Shavano Building at the Village at Breckenridge Resort, you are only a 20-yard walk out the door to the Quicksilver lift at the base of Peak 9. True Ski in/Ski out! This makes our condo the closest one-bedroom to the Quicksilver Lift. Yet, still only steps to shopping, great restaurants, and downtown Breckenridge/Main Street.

The Village Ski School can be accessed with a very short walk through the heated garage…so you don’t even need to put your coat on if you are dropping your little ones off at ski school. The ski school teaches the beginners right outside the Shavano building so be sure to check out your child’s progress while heading in for lunch or at the end of the day. After your long day of skiing or boarding, head down to the indoor/outdoor heated pool or slip into one of the four outdoor hot tubs.

Do you need a break from the slopes one day? There is the Town’s Free Ride Shuttle which can take you anywhere in Breckenridge including the public Ice Skating Rink or The Breckenridge Recreation Center (which offers climbing walls, racquetball, basketball, indoor tennis courts, weight rooms, exercise machines, and an indoor pool). There is also the free Summit Stage Shuttle that can transport you to the outlets in Dillon where you can shop or go up the street and catch a movie at the movie theater. For the kids, the Mountaintop Children’s Museum is located right in the Village complex under the Village Hotel (and fyi…they offer a “kids night out” on certain nights so the kids can have fun while the parents have a quiet dinner). From the condo, a great sledding hill is located just 5 blocks away or Frisco (a 15-minute drive) has an adventure park and Nordic center which has a tubing hill and cross country skiing available.

The summer at our condo is just as exciting! We are within minutes from miles of Rocky Mountain biking and hiking trails. Enjoy family fun at the Peak 8 Fun Park including the Alpine Superslide, Gold Runner Alpine Coaster, mini golf, Mineshaft Maze, super bungee trampoline, rock climbing wall and more. Other adventurous activities in the area include mine tours, white river rafting, and horseback riding. Or simply have a relaxing day of shopping on Main Street, go for a dip in the pool and then enjoy a drink with the crisp mountain air from our balcony overlooking the gazebo and courtyard landscaped with beautiful mountain flowers.

Our 2nd-floor corner unit (Approx 900 sq ft) overlooks the gazebo and courtyard. There are no neighbors on either side only across the hall. It has an updated bathroom, kitchen, floors, doors, windows, blinds, and furniture. It is equipped with 2 flat screen TV’s, a DVD player, and WiFi. The queen size bed in the bedroom has an upgraded mattress and the queen size sleeper sofa in the living room is new as of August 2015. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, dishes, silverware, and cookware. Towels and linens are provided. Firewood for the fireplace is available and located in the heated garage.

The Village at Breckenridge Resort offers an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, steam and sauna rooms, exercise facility with showers (all accessible through the heated garage), and outdoor gas fire pit. There is a pay washer/dryer located just down the hall from our condo.

Check-in for our condo is conveniently located at the front desk in the Peak 9 Inn building of the Resort. There is 24- hour service available through the front desk including a bell staff, concierge, guest service center, and any key assistance you may need.

About Cindy U

Originally from the Northeast, we moved to Denver, Colorado in 2000 and lived there 8 years. We fell in love with Breckenridge because of the quaint town, friendly people, and of course fabulous skiing! We bought this condo in 2007 for it's location and it accommodates our family of four perfectly.

Cindy U purchased this condo in 2007

Why Cindy U chose Breckenridge

Location, Location, Location! When our family travels we really enjoy parking the car and not using it until we leave. To be able to walk out the door and hop on the ski lift then just walk one block to town where there is tons of restaurants and shopping is our ideal vacation.

What makes this condo unique

We knew we wanted The Village at Breckenridge complex for it's location. We didn't even look elsewhere. We picked this particular unit for two reasons. One....it was in the Shavano building which was the closest building to the ski lift and our favorite building. Two...it was on the second floor. After staying in other units, we found out you can sometimes wait a long time for the elevator. When it's a sunny fresh powder day, we just don't have the patience to wait. Walking up or down one flight of stairs with skis or a snowboard is manageable. We are not sure we could manage more stairs after a long day of skiing/snowboarding:) When we bought it, it was completely outdated. 70's Everything. We immediately replaced doors, the floors, paint, bought new furniture, and got rid of the popcorn ceiling. In May of 2013 we were able to re-do the bathroom and in May 2014 we renovated the kitchen. Our latest update was the queen size sleeper sofa in August 2015.

Perfect ski-in ski-out condo

  • 5 of 5

We knew we booked the right place when we received an extensive list of helpful information including things in the condo, things we might want to bring, restaurant recommendations, rental car/shuttle info, and other useful tidbits. Cindy was super helpful and responsive to questions before our visit and texted when we arrived to make sure we were all set. So kind!

The condo is very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The bed (queen) was comfortable and I particularly appreciated the plentiful number of pillow with different firmness levels from which to choose. Use of the hot tub and pool was easy as was walking to the chair lift. Being so close to the lift made it easy to come in for lunch instead of spending way too much $ on the mountain. Two ski rental businesses in the same complex made demo rentals a breeze.

Our only glitch was the wood for the fireplace supplied by the management company. They bring large logs with tiny fire starters, but no kindling or paper. The logs never really got going, so we gave up after two nights. If a fireplace is important to you, bring kindling and paper.

The restaurants in town are fabulous, in particular, Relish which is walking distance and Breckenridge Brewery, which is an 8 min. drive from town. The restaurant at the Brewery is new, so not on many lists yet. Make a reservation wherever you decide to go! Wait times were long without one.

FYI - we did a car rental through Silver Car which only rents silver Audi's that have all-wheel drive. The prices were the same as other companies, and you get a guaranteed all-wheel car. There were just two of us, so we didn't need or want to pay for an SUV, but definitely wanted all-wheel.

Our only other glitch was lack of snow, but not much anyone could do about that! We still had a great time. And Breckenridge does a good job grooming, in spite of no fresh snow.

Highly recommend Cindy's condo!

Very comfortable, fully equipped and close to everything.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time visiting Breckenridge this past weekend and staying in this condo made our ski weekend perfect. Fresh snow certainly didn’t disappoint either. Cindy was a fantastic hostess communicating throughout the rental process as well as checking in to be sure we were comfortable and satisfied. We would definitely rent again. Thank you!!!

Great location for ski vacation

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice spot for a ski vacation for two. Not luxurious but very comfortable. The lifts and ski office at Peak 9 are right next door so truly ski in ski out. In addition, the Village at Breckenridge, where the condo is located, is as short a walk to the downtown shops , bars, and restaurants as you can get. It is right across from the riverwalk and main street. Everyone at the condo, from owner to staff, is extremely pleasant, helpful and professional. Hot tubs, pool, sauna are great. Nothing not to like. On a lower floor so it does lack a view of the mountains.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

Great property/location. You can practically fall out the front door and be on the quicksilver lift. Living area was a good size as well as the Kitchen. Cindy texted me to make sure everything was to our liking.anything we needed was a phone call away and delivered promptly. My only problem with the unit was the window covering in the bathroom. There were large gaps in the verticals and if you’re a private person, you might not like exposure to the building across the way. All in all a nice experience.

Large, clean, well appointed property in an excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with our visit. This was a ski trip so it was very important to us to have easy access to the slopes. The location did not disappoint. Everything in the unit was clean and in good working order and the kitchen was well equipped. The staff at the property was very responsive and handled every request promptly (such as firewood, additional towels, etc). Cindy was an excellent owner. She was quick to respond to inquiries and she was very invested in us having a great stay. We would definitely visit this property again.
