It is $750 from April 16 to Dec. 15. However, you may rent individual rooms as well. Our business name is Wailuku Guesthouse. Wailuku is still considered town center, Wailuku has many shops, quaint eateries, home to the famed historic bailey house museum, Iao state park, good hiking trails and just a few miles from the white sand beaches of Maalaea and Kihei.
The Wailuku Guesthouse has five individual rooms. Each guestroom sleeps two in either king or queen beds with the exception of our largest unit the Garden Ohana, ($249)which is a two bedroom unit sleeping 4-6 or more. Each room also has a private bath. The Wasabi suite is $149. The Mill room is a king at $129. The Plantation room which is a king is $139. The Hibiscus room is $119 and is a queen too. Renting the whole Wailuku Guesthouse is $750 a day from 12-16 to 4-15 and $700 a day from 4-15 to 12-14 and has a 7 day minimum depending on our availability and serves as a nice retreat for family reunions, wedding parties, sports clubs or large groups traveling together. The whole guesthouse sleeps about 14 people depending on how many kids etc. The rooms all have refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers and we supply Hawaiian coffee and teas. Although not a lot of fancy hoopla, the guesthouse is always nice and clean, has a beautiful heated pool and common area with lots of dining space and lounge chairs. Maureen also bakes delicious breads from the gardens variety of mango, papaya, and banana trees.
The common area is outdoors. With such year long fantastic weather, why be indoors? Our 40 ft saltwater pool serves as the center of our common guest area. There are also three dining tables and a large gas BBQ grill and a foosball table. A bunch of lounge chairs and a large sun umbrella for those who want a little shade, spot the pool area as well.
We have an aviary with well behaved macaws that love checking out our guests and hope to get a peanut or two from the snack jar.
We also have pool toys and a few rafts for hanging out at the pool. A few boogie boards and an assortment of snorkel gear, coolers, beach towels and beach chairs are supplied for your beach enjoyment. Parking and WIFI are also included free. The Wells Tennis Center located 1/2 a block away, provides 6 beautiful tennis courts that guests can use free for day and night play. We also have on site parking for our guests.

Maureen is originally from the Chicago area and met her husband Doug while in college in southern California. Maureen has a B.S. in Business Administration as well as certificate in teaching K1-12. Maureen's father worked for American Airlines for 40 years so Maureen spent a lot of time traveling growing up. It's no wonder her passion turned out to be in the hospitality business. She loves her work and enjoys running the guesthouse very much. Doug is a partner at Levin and Hu CPA's here on the island but grew up in Vermont in a seasonal B and B. Together they have a son, Declan, who is an avid swimmer, boy scout and computer enthusiast. We live on the property itself and are available to assist with guests needs whether they be to direct them to activities, restaurants or to print up their boarding passes.
Maureen purchased this Guest House in 2000
Why Maureen chose Kahului
The Wailuku Guesthouse is centrally located in old Wailuku town about 5 miles from the Kahului airport. You won't find our prices right on the beach but we do offer nice clean rooms with all the good stuff you need to have a great stay on Maui while having enough money to still enjoy activities and enjoy our wonderful fresh seafood, locally raised beef and organically grown herbs and vegetables. At the end of the day you can return to the guesthouse where you can relax out by the pool, have a BBQ, or just retire to your room. We supply the beach gear including coolers, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and an assortment of snorkel equipment. This way you won't have to rent any of it. This large guesthouse serves as a great big house that can accommodate up to 16 depending on sleeping arrangements. Perfect for large families, reunions, wedding parties or just a bunch of friends. The rooms also offer a little more privacy than the normal home as each has the ability to become its own unit.
What makes this Guest House unique
