About Amy Canady

I'm a mid-westerner who moved to Seattle 26 years ago. I love having the studio and meeting people from all over. I regularly use VRBO myself. I love to hear about your favorite VRBO spot! I love to cook and check out restaurants, so ask us about some local places and am happy to share!

Amy Canady purchased this apartment in 2005

Why Amy Canady chose Seattle

I love the neighborhood of Maple Leaf because it's so close to downtown. I can go out to dinner, see live music in the city and be home in 10 minutes. And it's easy taking the bus to downtown Seattle, UW Campus/Hospital and Bellevue/Redmond. It's quick and easy access to I-5 and Lake City Way, which is one of the few exits allowing drivers to use Express Lanes on I-5 to/from the airport!

What makes this apartment unique

The outside deck is lovely with the bamboo wall and plants offering a private spot to relax and enjoy your holiday or just a quiet evening after a busy conference. I hope visitors enjoy the quiet spot and lovely neighborhood as much as I do! A visitor can really get the feeling of living in a quaint little Seattle neighborhood and commuting to the city by bus every day. It's easy access from the airport by public transportation. You can take the Metro Light Rail train from the airport to the downtown tunnel in 37 minutes, arrive at Westlake station and transfer to the Northbound 72 bus, and be at the studio in another 40 minutes. Cedar Corners is a 15 minute walk from the bus stop, so if you've packed a suitcase with wheels, it's an easy trip. Or just take a cab and pay about $70 or Uber/Lyft for $45. Ask the owner for directions!

Excellent stay

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to Seattle. The apartment was perfect for what we needed. The apartment was very clean, and ready for us when we arrived. Amy was very accommodating on the time of arrival and left us with many recommendations as far as restaurants and attractions around the area. She was also available to answer any questions we had via text message. We highly recommend this apartment if you are visiting the Seattle area.

Great home base for Univ of Washington and Seattle Exploration

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Amy was very thoughtful in supplying information about things to do in Seattle and surrounding areas. A good base north of the University - less hectic than being in town. You can cook if you like, but Amy's restaurant suggestions were helpful. One note to future occupants, the local TV stations are the single digits and you have the HBO channels, but you will probably be too busy to watch much TV.

North Seattle studio, quiet location with great access to downtown and north side activities!

  • 5 of 5

First time trip to Seattle and could not be happier with our decision to stay here! We utilized public transportation when we went sightseeing downtown, via the park & ride transit center, and found it easy to drive to Ballard, Fremont, many of the area parks, and the University area the rest of the time. The studio has all the essentials to cook your own meals, and you have multiple farmers markets to chose from for some of the freshest ingredients! Amy was a pleasure to work with, providing us with great let me feel like a local activities and flexibility with checking in/out! We look forward to our return trip and already know where we will stay!

Great studio!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the studio. The space was perfect for my husband and I. The kitchen was well equipped. It was the perfect location for all of our activities.and we were only 3 miles from where my son is living right now!! We didn't even realize that when we booked. We would definitely stay here again.
