2/2.5 Main house & 2/2 guest house- on one acre with spectacular views

You will enjoy fantastic views of the desert and mountains from an acre of natural landscape and beautiful gardens located only a few blocks from Canyon Road, the heart of the historic eastside where visitors can find great restaurants, galleries and shops. Plus we are very close to Museum Hill and the downtown plaza. Our street provides a quiet and safe setting from which to view stars and moon and the truly dramatic Santa Fe sunsets. This is an excellent location in a private residential neighborhood.

Ample space for 8 people/ 4 bedrooms total combining the main house with 3600 square feet - 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, plus the adjacent guesthouse, with 1200 square feet - two bedrooms, 2 baths, makes for the perfect friend and/or family getaway.

The style is Santa Fe inspired with stucco finish exteriors, big picture windows, high ceilings, white walls, bleached oak floors and vigas accenting the ceilings. The interior design of the living spaces is of high quality, understated traditional furnishings, original art, antiques—designed with comfort and style in mind.

The houses are fully equipped with high-speed Internet access, including wireless networking throughout houses and local telephone service. There are spaces for 4 cars inside the gate.

There are 3 living areas in the main house. There is a large 22x28 “formal” living room with a fireplace that flows through French doors onto a large stone patio. The dining table seats 10 with antique Windsor chairs and divides the room into two seating areas, making a lovely entertaining space. There is a bar in the entry hall close to the living room. The morning room sits off the living room and open kitchen. A large L shape portal with kiva fireplace flows through double doors with amazing sunset views. The family/TV room is off the kitchen and also has a nice kiva fireplace. There is a large HDTV and Sonos stereo system throughout the house.

A wonderful picture window from the cook’s kitchen provides views over the garden to the Sangre de Christo mountains. The kitchen is equipped with modern stainless appliances, including a sub zero refrigerator, 6 burner gas oven and all the equipment you need to cook for your group. Stylish plates, silverware and serving pieces add to your dining pleasure.

There is a laundry room and a powder room.

The master bedroom has a large sitting area/study plus a new flat screen TV. There is a king size bed with antique French headboards and an adjacent walk in closet and a large, fully refurbished marble bathroom with double vanity, large shower, separate tub and private commode.

The private guest bedroom has a queen bed and a walk in closet and an en-suite bathroom outfitted with a tub/shower combination. Private access to the outdoor portal is a plus.

There is a lovely lawn and a grape arbor with a dining table for outdoor dining that seats 8. The gardens are lush and colorful.

The guest house was built seven years ago and is set back from the main house.

This spacious casita is light filled with dramatic views through picture windows and French doors with 12 foot ceilings and a kiva fireplace. Two portals are at front and back doors. The dining table seats 6. There is a flat screen TV inside an antique armoire.

The average size kitchen is fully equipped with lots of cabinets and countertops with full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, gas 4 burner stove/oven, pantry, washer dryer and all serving pieces and dishes for 12.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and a marble bathroom with a tub/shower combination.

The guest room has twin beds that can be made as twins or converted to a king bed, depending on the need. The bathroom for this bedroom just outside the bedroom and is also marble with a shower only.

It is rare to find a property with 4 bedrooms in the historic eastside and is ideal for spacious comfort and wonderful location close to all the attractions.

Amazing house

We had a wonderful experience at the home. We had seven women and it was perfect with tons of sitting areas and a wonderful garden to enjoy. The guest house was just as lovely as the main house with ample sized bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipted too. Would highly recommend.

Sketching group goes to Santa Fe

Our Sketching Group had a marvelous time in this beautiful setting! Every detail of the home from wonderful bedding for great rest to a fabulous kitchen set up for our foodie artists was thoughtfully designed. Art, antiques, herb garden, flower gardens, apple trees...every seating area inside and outside was delightful. We'll bring our drawing pads and pencils to this home to capture again the view from the kitchen sink window! I'm also bringing my family to this home as soon as we can capture a date. It's perfect for larger OR smaller groups. I can't wait to return here!

Friend's Trip

This classic Adobe Santa Fe home is superbly laid out for families or a trip with friends. The bed rooms, living rooms, and porches are comfortably and interestingly designed with views of expertly landscaped and maintained gardens. A casita provides privacy for extended families or teenagers. The kitchen window looks out on a mountain range. The home is close enough to walk to the downtown plaza or to Museum Hill on the Santa Fe Trail. We cooked most of our meals in the gourmet kitchen, using ingredients found at the Farmers Market and local grocery store. The home is private and in a fine neighborhood away from tourist traffic. The property manager is available for any questions or concerns.

We loved this property! There were 8 of us for a 50th anniversary. The house was very well equipped, had wonderful spaces for a large group both inside and out, beautiful furnishings, and great landscaping. The owner and house manager were available at any time.

Perfect home!

We had 4 couples stay at the house for our annual get-away. The house (really, houses) was perfect; very well maintained and spotless. Each couple had their own bedroom and private bathroom and we had plenty of space to visit, cook and dine. The grounds are beautiful and we spent most days enjoying the porches and outdoor visiting spaces. The location was ideal...we were able to walk into town every day. We greatly appreciated the recommendations of the property manager for local restaurants and shopping. I can't think of a single thing that would have made this location any better!
