About David Dunne

We are a child-free couple who love to call Vancouver home because of its awesome beauty, access to recreation and great urban environment and central location for travel by air, water, car, bicycle or on foot.

Main Street offers such a variety of eating and entertainment choices within short walking distance. Beyond, Vancouver's many and varied neighborhoods each have their own uniqueness to discover and enjoy. We love to explore our own neighborhood as well as other areas of the city.

We travel a lot and much prefer to stay in rented suites, apartments or houses than hotels. Finding out about other cities and what makes them special is as interesting as the people we meet while traveling.

We enjoy helping our guests get the most out of their stay and our city - so they can get a sense of what makes Vancouver special - rain or shin - it's one of the best places to call home. We hope our guests agree and call Vancouver 'home' while they enjoy all that the city are area have to offer.

We travel a lot and love to discover new places and meet people, but we also love to coming home to our own city and rediscovering why we chose to live here.

We moved in to our home when it was new back in 2006 and since then we have come to enjoy the many benefits of our quiet street and the surrounding neighborhood. We are in the geographical center of Vancouver - so access to water, mountains, parks, recreation, downtown, highways and ferries is another reason we love our home, our neighborhood and our city - and hope that our guests come to appreciate some of the things that make this corner of the world special.

Fantastic accomodation in best part of Vancouver

The pictures on the VRBO sight looked nice but don’t do justice to the beauty of this accomodation. Dominique and David spared no effort in making this a designer apartment. My wife and I felt so comfortable there. They have put a lot of thought into making it so attractive. It is located in a quiete, picturesque residential neighbourhood that was so pleasing to be in. Yet it is so central to everything in Vancouver. David gave us lots of great tips. We especially loved the St. George caffee around the corner. (5 minute walk). It served the best breakfast immagineable with a real European flair. We stayed a week and hated leaving the home and the area. Without a doubt when we return to Vancouver this is the only place we would stay. What an enjoyable experience! Thank you David and Dominique for thinking of everything and letting us use this beautiful place.

Cute & Cozy

We loved the condo. It was very clean, quiet and with all the amenities you would ever need. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. We especially loved the keyless door lock as it was one less thing to worry about. The neighbourhood had beautiful homes and with just a short walk to Main Street where all of your shopping needs were met. We would definitely recommend this to fellow travellers and will be sure to stay with David again.

Most Excellent Accomodation

David and Dominique were the most gracious hosts. They provided us with everything you could possibly need for our stay. The apartment is exactly as you see in their photos. The neighbourhood was quiet and well located, not far from the airport, downtown or most attractions. We would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to our friends, family and anyone else.

Great hosts and perfect accomodations make for a super stay in Vancouver

Instantly felt right at home in the Maison Rouge located near trendy Main street and nestled in the leafy streets of real Vancouver neighbourhood. Comfortable and cosy indoors with garden access and friendly hosts. The week passed too quickly and I would love to return again.

Cute "Maison Rouge"

My husband and I stayed at Maison Rouge for 6 nights. David & Dominique were very friendly and welcomed us to their home. The suite was clean and fully equipped. There was a lovely outside patio area in the garden just for us, where we were able to sit and relax. This suite was conviently located for all of our needs and within walking distance to many stores, shops and parks. We will stay here again !
