About Rowland C Fellows Sr
My husband and I built this cabin in 1962 in part so that our 5 children could enjoy the wonderful environment of Lake Tahoe. They grew up however and as they romanced and married we no longer took advantage the cabin and leased it full time for 20 years or more. Now that we have grandchildren, we have totally remodeled the cabin and our children are using it much as we did. To help cover the cost, we are making it available to others so they can enjoy it too whenever we are not using it.
Rowland C Fellows Sr purchased this Cabin in 1962
Why Rowland C Fellows Sr chose Tahoe Pines
We built this cabin on family owned land which was in the family long before we inherited and decided to build.
What makes this Cabin unique
Staying and relaxing in this cabin is a complete change from living and existing in suburbia (as much as you might enjoy your home, wherever that is). Although all the amenities are there in the cabin, none seem to intrude on the peaceful and restful environment. The almost transparent walls of windows bring the outside in without the vagaries of weather.

We absolutely loved our stay for my daughters birthday at the cabin, we didn’t even want to go anywhere since the cabin had absolutely everything you need. The windows and the open view of outside was such a huge plus for us, as we can relax and watch our children playing outside, sledding and snowball fight. Our husky absolutely loved it the most. In over all words, the cabin was perfect and so warm upon our arrival. Thank you so much.
Perfect cabin, great location, beautiful surroundings, friendly managers
We arrived rather late in the night and the heater was not working, since we were visiting during winter months this was definitely an issue. After trying to get it to work for over an hour, I reluctantly called the property manager, it was probably past midnight at this point, and I thought he would surely not answer, but he did, and he was very friendly and accommodating despite the late hour. He assured that he would try to get a hold of his repair man to come ASAP, and was genuinely concerned with resolving the issue right away. In the meantime, the heater started to work. He told us to call again if any issues arose. Customer service is very important to me, and this demonstrated dedication to make the best possible stay for us.
The cabin was perfect, comfortable, clean, great location. It was a great size for 4-6 people, plenty of games and movies available. My only comment is there were not enough towels, and limited kitchen ware. Location wise, we were able to visit both North and South Lake Tahoe during our stay with a 30-45 minute drive to either one. The area is beautiful, and peaceful. The property has a good lot size, with trees covered in snow. Overall, loved our stay, and would recommend this cabin.
Cozy cabin, great location
We enjoyed our stay in spite of the lack of snow (not the cabin's fault!). The floor to ceiling windows were a huge perk - the kids could play outside and we could see them from the comfort of the couch. The cabin had everything we needed, the instructions were easy to follow. Great location, close to everything. Will stay again!
Good for the family
We had everything we needed and we close to the lake and hiking trails.
perfect for our family!
thanks for sharing your place. Glad our dog could join us and your place was a perfect fit for our family. Hope we can come again!
cozy hang out
We had overflow for our family week and this cabin was perfect for two couples. Great location, quiet, well equipped. We will be happy to rent again.
