You will find all the conveniences of home here! Three TV's and DVD Players, WiFi, fully stocked kitchens, washer/dryer, game room and a dock with a complimentary pedal boat and three kayaks!

You can relax while just watching the water from the breakfast area. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the rustling of leaves as fall draws in. You may see a deer walk by at any given moment as they roam freely in the neighborhood. Or maybe the occasional turtle will pass by. Or you can sit on the back deck and just watch the water in the cove as you hear the sounds of nature soothing the spirit. Enjoy a festive meal with some yummy food cooked on the grill.

Once you are ready to go, you can take a ride on the complimentary pedal boat or kayak on to Lake Chickasaw. Being the more private of the two lakes, no gas powered motors are allowed allowing the full nature feel to sink in. You can go fishing on this lake! Lots of opportunity for blissful play surrounds you here!

A ladies retreat from church or just a weekend getaway for guys and girls.

Or maybe you are building a house and need a place for several weeks.

Bringing the kids to just get them out into nature. There is a playground and field.

Playing golf and enjoying the mountains.

Maybe you are going to Fall Festivals or need a basecamp to head to the mountains up north for a few hours.

More boating possibilities at the marina if you want to go on the big lake.

The possibilities are endless!!!

The lake is privately maintained so water levels are always good. Both lakes have plenty of fish. There is a fun park by the big lake with lots of open space. Another park has hiking trails, playground, open fields, tennis and more. Fields are so big, you can play games like football, soccer, frisbee, fly kites or just run around in a good old fashioned game of tag.

Somewhere along the way you'll get hungry so you can cook up a wonderful meal in the fully stocked kitchen or you can hit the Grill in the clubhouse with their yummy offerings. Of course, you can venture into Canton which has loads of options or head north for some good cooking in the mountains. Lots of options!

Once your day is done, enjoy a restful night in the master on main bedroom with King Bed. And if you like hearing the outdoors while you sleep, the screened atrium style door will allow the outdoors sounds to sing into your room.

Relaxation and Bliss truly await you. Check it out today!

Why Frank Iglesias and Melanie Vargas chose Lake Arrowhead

We have really enjoyed the serenity and peace we experience everytime we spend time here. In doing so, we believed that it would be best to share the joy with others once I saw how my wife's friends really enjoyed the place and having a 'girls' weekend up here scrapbooking some time back. The peaceful environment is a blessing to have so close to Atlanta!

What makes this house unique

Lakefront home! Close to Atlanta AND the mountains makes is a great launching point to get to tons of activities not just in the neighborhood but in the surrounding areas. Or you can just stay at the house and take it easy hanging out and relaxing. Or maybe you are building a home and need a place to stay for a few short months. Another benefit is you can come here to work! Yes work if you have stuff to do that requires total focus and getting away from lifes distractions. Perhaps a huge project or writing a book or composing music (although making music is seldom work!). Whatever it is that needs space and time, this home gives it to you so you can make whatever you want to happen happen!

Would definitely stay here again. Well worth it.

We came down for a baseball tournament with another family and couldn't ask for much better. Owner was very helpful and adaptive with our needs. We had to add a night due to last minute schedule change. The house had plenty of room. The lake was fun to paddle boat and kayak on our down time. The owner was quick to respond to any questions that we had.

Nice Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

All four of us wanted a getaway by water but not the ocean this year. When we found this house on HomeAway it was a perfect fit for us. Plenty of room. A dock with kayaks and a paddle boat to explore the little lake was used by the guys. I fished from the dock almost every day (caught 49 fish!). Nice kitchen which allowed us to cook when we wanted to. Nice bathrooms and bedrooms. Also allowing us to bring our dog was a plus. We stayed 7 days and enjoyed all of them (even when it rained). Home is only an hour away from Atlanta and 40 minutes from Marietta. Both pluses for us on the days that it rained.

Perfect Getaway

  • 4 of 5

My son and I spent two nights for a quick mountain biking get away. The house was just right for us - clean, basic, nice bed rooms, game room, Direct TV, etc! It had everything we needed - couldn't have asked for anything more. AC/Internet/cell coverage(AT&T) all worked fine.

It was close(15 miles) to Blankets and Rope Mill park(great places for mountain biking) but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. We also day tripped up to Ellijay/Blue Ridge for more climbing!

Owners(Jenni) were very accommodating and extremely responsive to my questions prior to arrival - thank you Jenni for all of your help!

Not in rentable condition.

  • 1 of 5

The house was very hot when we entered, upper seventies downstairs, mid-eighties upstairs. We adjusted the thermostats, the downstairs cooled off, the upstairs never did. Most people would not be able to sleep upstairs; my husband took pictures of the thermostat showing readings of 80 degrees after 2 days of trying to get it to cool down. We had planned on having our sons come on Saturday, but contacted them both and told them not to come because of the heat and the condition of the back "yard" and the stagnant "cove".The internet connection worked for a few hours the first night, but not thereafter. Our phones were paperweights, 0 bars. The master bath shower door was not working properly, had to be lifted out of the frame to open, we showered upstairs in the heat. By far the worst problem was the yard (or lack thereof). There was a lot of mud on the driveway, which was impossible to avoid to get into the house. When we went outside to view the "lake", we could see why: the entire back yard is mud. The directions for using the paddleboat instruct you to put it in the water on the pebble area : there is no pebble area, only mud. The "cove" is more like a stagnant small pond, and it is NOT connected to Lake Arrowhead, it is connected to a much smaller lake/pond that is NOT visible from the house. We DROVE to Lake Arrowhead and enjoyed a boat ride, hiking trail, and scenery. We left the house a day early. The description of this house is extremely misleading, to be kind. We are in our fifties, have stayed in many different kinds of places, and have NEVER left a negative review of a property, but the difference between the description (and rate charged) for this property and the actual condition was astounding.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying at our home. We apologize that you had a less than ideal experience as we work hard to ensure the home is in ideal condition throughout the year. With regards to the air conditioner, service has been called to check the unit now that we have been made aware of it in this review. With regards to the backyard, major clean up of the cove was very recently completed and this required redoing the entire yard. It is actually early in the reseeding process with pinestraw coming in this week. We had some signs out there stating this so it sounds like they are not there. We will verify they are put back up as it will take a couple of weeks for the backyard to look green again. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will have the driveway pressured washed as it sounds like our contractor did not fully remove the mud from the driveway from our recently mentioned clean up. We are deeply concerned about the pebble area not being found as it is right by the dock. Perhaps the recent storms reduced the amount of pebbles so we will investigate that and resolve it. There was a turbidity barrier set right next to the pebble area that was drying off from our lake clean up so perhaps it masked the pebble area. We will resolve that. With regards to the lake location, the ad does state this is the private lake with no gas powered motors allowed and you can go over to the big lake as desired. There is a photograph in the ad showing the view from the deck as we are in a cove of a very short inlet on the lake. Thanks for mentioning these items so we can get with our contractors to complete resolution of our air conditioner and cleanup project more effectively.

Enjoyed our stay

  • 4 of 5

This was our first experience with a VRBO property and much preferred over staying at a hotel.

This home is in a great location and situated within a gated community which gave us a feeling of safety.

Our stay was the end of February so with it being chilly didn't use the kayaks or paddle boat but we did enjoy the foosball table.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and the Owners of the property were very pleasant and very quick to respond when we had questions.
