Guestbook comments from the owner

We had an amazing first anniversary here. The accommodations were superb. Can’t wait to come back in the fall to see the changing leaves and enjoy a warm fire in the crisp air.

Well equipped cabin with really helpful hosts

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Mountain Valley Cabins. We stopped in Asheville for a night to explore and try all the local brews, as well as visiting the Grove Park Inn, then headed up to the cabin for the remainder of our getaway. Jeanne and John were extremely helpful and gracious hosts. They have been very thoughtful in their planning and equipping of the cabins and in the information they provide to guests about local activities and attractions. Would highly recommend!

Great quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

It was very pleasant. Very quiet and very dark (at night). Just what the doctor ordered. Just the 2 of us and had plenty of room. Very few spices and such but that comes after time when people buy and then leave for others. We've used VRBO for years and that's the pattern we've seen. My wife says that we may not stay in a hotel unless we have no other choice. VRBO is the way to vacation. We may start doing it ourselves, first at a FL beach house and then we'll start expanding into the mountain areas. We have a rule not to stay in a place twice but we would definitely come back here.

Beautiful, Relaxing Getaway

It was exactly what we were looking for! Great location. Secluded enough to feel alone, yet close enough to town to grab something to eat. They were fantastic hosts. They literally thought of everything. Their attention to detail is superb. Definitely recommend!!

I loved this cabin so much, and even though we were only able to stay two nights it felt like my home away from. Everything was very clean and organzied. I loved the binder on the coffee table, it was vey helpful and found a few good places to eat such as Dave's 209 and also had directions to Max Patch which is a MUST when your there, beautiful views. Also visited Asheville one day to see the Biltmore Estates which I recommend doing. The hot tub was our favorite part. We loved to go out at night and look up at the stars. It is nice that the owners are still only two cabins down if you needed them, but yet they do not bother you and give you your space. They seem to be very friendly and nice. It is a very peacful and tranquil place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.

It's the little things

  • 5 of 5

This place was amazing. The little details of thoughtfulness go such a long way. As everything you need plus things that you didn't realize you need. Hot tub was nothing short of amazing.

If you're interested in an unforgettable trip to the North Carolina Mountains, Hot Springs NC is a secluded mountain paradise made famous by the naturally warm water mineral springs that were found here more than two centuries ago along the French Broad River and Spring Creek. Today, Hot Springs North Carolina is a popular, yet secluded, hideaway that many visit for a great North Carolina mountain vacation. Our cabins are close to Hot Springs and a convenient place to stay for those looking to hike the Appalachian Trail in Madison County NC, go whitewater rafting, tubing, zip-lining, fishing, horseback riding, or just relaxing!

About 10 miles away from Mountain Valley Cabins is Max Patch Mountain. From atop Max Patch, you can see panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains which rise and fall in the distance, as well as parts of the Pisgah National Forest that pass through Madison County North Carolina.
