Great place to have family bomding time!
Mr. Rocky was a great host. We loved the full cabin living. There was no internet access and the only television was in family room. We cooked our meals and were able to really spend time as a family. We played card games, board games, and sat on the porch and just laughed and enjoyed each other's company! Thank Mr. Rocky for having such a beautiful place. The only thing I didn't like was the road leadingup to the house. Great, great experience and bucket list check off!!
A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL...
We really enjoyed our extended weekend stay at your cabin.. I loved the fact that we didn't have cell phone services nor WI-FI and we actually could communicate with my grand girls without them having a phone in their hands.. The cabin was more than what we expected and we had plenty of room for everyone.. If there was one thing I could change, it would be the location to be a little closer to the main road.. Even though we really did enjoy to peace and quiet.. I really wish that I would have had more time to spend at the cabin instead of site seeing..
Great place to relax
This a very clean, comfortable cabin. The owner is very nice and helpful beyond words. We enjoyed our stay and will plan for a future vacation.
What a blast!!
My family and I took our first 'family' vacation where all of my immediate family members were able to attend.....and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to spend it!!! Watching my nephews and niece play outside, going exploring with them, and relaxing by the fireplace topped the charts. Rocky was MORE than helpful....our tv wasn't working properly (had to watch college football!!!) so in order to accommodate us, he drove a few hours from where he was located and brought us the necessary equipment to get us up and running! We couldn't have asked for more. If you're looking for a great place to stay, your search stops here.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. The only real negative was the road leading to the cabin, but then, it is the mountains! I would like to go back in the winter months but would be afraid of the road. Rocky was super nice. He met us at the house, (I didn't follow his directions well, but he was very patient) and showed us where everything was. We immediately felt like if we did have any issues while we were there, we could call him. I thought the fact that he met us and cared enough to show us around was a definite plus for this rental. We cooked on the grill outside as well as used the kitchen. Our favorite place of all was the front porch with the rocking chairs. We stayed there mostly when we were at the house.
I recommend this cabin for a super restful vacation, and yet close enough to the activities in the area to get there in just a few minutes.
Property and house were excellent; plenty of rooms and bathrooms. We give that part a star 5.
Inside the house was different. The refrigerator and freezer had food still in them from the earlier. The owner, apparently, is the mother of who does the renting. And she is there occasionally and leaves food in the refrig and freezer and clothes and other things in the closets. Our closet had a lived-in, musty smell. The renter says he has cleaners come in to cleanup after each time people are there. We don't believe he is getting his money's worth from cleanup people or they are not given permission to make it suitable for the next group of 11 people. The readiness of the house for cleanliness we give a star 2.
I knew you would be hard to please when the first thing you did was complain about the dust that got on your car traveling up the 1.2 mile gravel road. I opened the door and went through the house with you to make sure that it met your expectations before I gave you the keys. There was no food in the refrigerator but there was some condiments in the door that I told you you could through in the trash if you liked. That was one refrigerator and then there was a stand up freezer in wash room that was buy no means full so I told you you could use some space in it if you needed. When the power was out I came up and the power company had the road blocked we had a conversation about the house. You did not recognize me until I told you who I was. The only real complaint you gave me was about the dust outside the windows on the window sills and the musty smell in one small closet. Each bedroom has 2 dressers and a closet. You told me when you first inspected the house it was perfect and for the price and amount of people in your party you got a heck of a deal. You also agreed with me on that and said you would be interested in staying again but really I would rather you didn't because you would be too hard to please. This may not be a five star Ritz Hotel but if you are looking for a nice quite relaxing clean place to stay this is it.
