We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. The only real negative was the road leading to the cabin, but then, it is the mountains! I would like to go back in the winter months but would be afraid of the road. Rocky was super nice. He met us at the house, (I didn't follow his directions well, but he was very patient) and showed us where everything was. We immediately felt like if we did have any issues while we were there, we could call him. I thought the fact that he met us and cared enough to show us around was a definite plus for this rental. We cooked on the grill outside as well as used the kitchen. Our favorite place of all was the front porch with the rocking chairs. We stayed there mostly when we were at the house.
I recommend this cabin for a super restful vacation, and yet close enough to the activities in the area to get there in just a few minutes.
Inside the house was different. The refrigerator and freezer had food still in them from the earlier. The owner, apparently, is the mother of who does the renting. And she is there occasionally and leaves food in the refrig and freezer and clothes and other things in the closets. Our closet had a lived-in, musty smell. The renter says he has cleaners come in to cleanup after each time people are there. We don't believe he is getting his money's worth from cleanup people or they are not given permission to make it suitable for the next group of 11 people. The readiness of the house for cleanliness we give a star 2.
We had a wonderful family time ,very relaxing away from the city noise
The cabin is nestled in the perfect spot. It offers so many things to do outdoors right out the front door! Mr. Peebles is very nice and accomodating!
From the time we walked in, all we could do is be amazed!!! it was a very quiet and cozy cabin in the wood with NO CELL COVERAGE.... that was the best part. if you are looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday stressors this is the place to come. Not only that it has the most beautiful scene of a running stream. We will be back!!!!
We totally enjoyed our trip and the cabin was amazing. We could not have ask for anything because nothing was missing. No a/c was ever needed and we loved sitting on the porch. We cooked at home and saved going out to eat and all and all it was amazing.
