The first document that refers to Boveglio dates back to 757 AD The town is surrounded by walls and has a very rich artistic heritage, dominated by the imposing clock tower, which was also the medieval tower for spotting of the enemy armies. The country's current economy is based on agriculture to the chestnut harvest, where the flour is excellent, and the development of quality tourism.
From an early age I wanted to 'live' in Tuscany, and I'm very attached to my roots, as I was taught by my parents and my grandparents.
Growing up then I met my wife, and has strengthened my and our Tuscan spirit, to the point of wanting to share with others. From our shared passion was born the idea of buying a house and planning our dream ...
Gemignani Lisa purchased this cottage in 2000
Ever since we started to renovate the first brick of the house, our dream was to create a place where our guests can feel at ease, and entering, breathed an atmosphere of genuine familiarity.
For us, the Tuscany is part of our lives: it is the air we breathe and the food we eat. And it's nice to know what it means to the tourists 'live' Tuscany ....
Each house is divided when the house has its own characteristic:
Casa Cielo has a sun terrace protected by stone walls that ensure the tranquility and superb views.
And 'the angle that best characterizes it .......
Casa Terra has a Tuscan kitchen with stone fireplace. A room truly superb.
Casa Pietra as well as being beautiful and in Tuscan style, has exclusive sauna and hot tub.
While Casa Il Nido is ideal for a romantic break in two
We stayed a week in this magical property. We could not have dreamed about a nicer place, better view, more accommodation hosts. Entire house made of stone, fireplace, wooden beams - what an atmosphere. We can not wait to be back next year!
The pictures don't do it justice. The property is so beautiful and rustic with amazing views. All you needed was provided if you wanted to stay in and cook a meal. Snuggle up next to the fire in bad weather or to catch up on some rest after a long day site seeing! Would go back in a heart beat!!!
First of all, the drive up to Bovegilio was stunning, nerves of steel for those who are not used to the winding roads. The higher you go, the more breathtaking the view gets. The house itself is exactly what you get, when you have seen it online. Charming and cozy. Away from it all, is really what you have here. Thank you Lisa and Luca, especially for the wifi!
We very comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time staying here. The drive up the hill was not short! We took a lot of day trips and it felt really long going up the hill every night ( about 1/2 hr). But the views were amazing and the house itself was fantastic. We did get a knock on the door from the people below us saying that they could hear every step and word we said. This made us a little on edge as we are not very loud people, however the soccer finals were in full swing and the walls are apparently pretty thin. All in all it was a really nice place to stay. Thanks so much
Anyone going to Tuscany would do themselves an injustice if they didn't stay here for more than a week. The villa is by far the best of our lodgings on our month long trip in Itally. Every detail was put into this villa by the Owners , Lisa and Luca! Antiques through out down to the finest of touches. A view that's unbeatable, and owners that were extremely kind, and non intrusive! The Villa, and landlords were beyond excellent! We will be back to enjoy this villa for 2-3 weeks next time, and bring some friends along for this heavenly estate in Tuscany!! If only there were ten stars, the villa would be an eleven!
The farmhouse' Casa sotto la torre', is located at a height of 780, is like a gem set in the nature of Toscany. The house have be made out of an old farmhouse from the late 1700s, and have been recently renovated keeping the characteristics of Tuscan architecture intact, with original features such as beams, stone walls and visible terracotta ceiling tiles. The original furnischings have been skilfully restored and completed with arte povera furniture, giving the two houses a unique atmosphere, where the old the new are perfectly integrated, giving you at the same time all the necessary commodities.
They offer possibility to visit all the major cities of art such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo...not forgetting the wonderful mountain area of Garfagnana, that's so rich in old medieval towns. Nearby, in the town of Collodi, it's possible to visit the park of the world's most famous puppet Pinocchio.... an event that the youngsters shouldn't loose.... and a unique occasion for the not so young too!!!!
