We are on a peaceful family residential block that happens to be steps from everything. We have children and families living there, the fruit and vegetable carts calling out every morning. We seek travelers welcome to be a part of that but not disrespect it with noise and disruption. We are not for everyone, but we are very very special. Foodies, families, Girls weekends, Reunions. Beautiful complete rebuild of an historic 1840s New Orleans home. 4 blocks to Bourbon but retire to a peaceful beautifully renovated oasis.

The lower level has 12 ft high ceilings. We have been doing vacation rentals for 4 years but have just completed the complete renovation of this property October 1, 2013. We had several bookings before we were listed and photos were taken. It is an amazing experience in a fantastic location, steps from Storyville, Congo Square, Louis Armstrong Park, and Cafe du Monde is a 10 minute stroll. We are 4 blocks from Bourbon Street.

There is simply nothing remotely like it anywhere in the city. This is NOT a shotgun where you walk through each others bedrooms, in fact the bedrooms and bathrooms are massive by any standard. This is for the travelers who enjoy quiet at the end of a long day or night out on the town. SORRY, NO early check-ins, or early-arrival baggage storage.

QUIET just a stones throw from the heart of the city. Huge rooms, peace and quiet, a real neighborhood on the edge of all the tourism and noise.

I was so lucky to find this wonderful home. The home is renovated down to the last nail and it is lovely. This also means very clean, a biggie for me. The rooms are spacious, the windows let in lovely light throughout the day and the amenities are top notch. The location is ideal for the French Quarter and Marigny, really it is convenient to the whole town as it is located near bus service and the street car. A little walking might be in store to some locations, but its good to work off all the good food and drink! I had a rental car and was able to park in front of the house every day of the 30 I stayed. The linens are lovely and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with new dishes and cookware. There is a sweet, brand new laundry set up as well. Dave was the icing on the cake! He is a hardworking, patient, charismatic darling! He took care of all my needs very quickly. There was never an unanswered text or phone call. He ensured that I was well versed on the town as well. I got a locals guide straight from him! He is very particular about his guests and we had an in depth conversation before I rented to ensure I was the kind of person he wanted in his property. This is in a neighborhood and each resident expects respect of their personal privacy and comfort regarding noise and traffic. This is understandable and makes the location even more desirable for safety reasons as well as general warmth in spirit! As a single woman I felt safe and at ease on this 'up and coming' neighborhood street. A few families, lots of young couples and late 20, early 30 kinds of neighbors. I could not say more about this apartment. I will always look back fondly on my time (a whole month) in this apartment. Good memories and good sleep!

Fantastic house for large groups

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is definitely the walkable to the French Quarter (15 or so minutes), and the area is very Uber friendly. It was completely quiet at night, which was great. We had a group of 14, rented the whole house, and no one had to use a pull out couch, and only couples shared beds. It was very comfortable for that size, but half the house would work fine for smaller groups. The house owners/managers were extremely easy to deal with and very responsive (I had a lot of questions). I would rent again no question!

One word: perfection!

For the second year in a row, we rented a house through Dave for a group of French professionals visiting for a big convention. This house was absolutely perfect. The configuration was ideal for 10 people (everyone was independent while enjoying the common rooms together). The house was newly renovated and clean, the outdoors were stunning. The location is ideal, as it is at the crossroads of many different areas (and so close to the French Quarter). Dave and his team were always available to answer any questions and did their best to ensure our group felt like home. And finally, the ration quality/price couldn't be better. We're definitely back next year, same date (sorry for the others :-).

A few bumps, but it ended well

This house is just beautiful! It is very well cared for and the owners/managers do a good job at making sure you are comfortable and have what you need. One day the coffee machine wasn't working so they showed up with 2 new ones and a bunch of new glasses since we had a really large party. Super nice!

We felt completely safe there despite hearing it is a sketchy part of town and never had any safety issues whatsoever. There are also video cameras outside the house so that made us feel better!

The only con we had was that the wi-fi did't work our entire 4-night stay. They really tried hard to fix it, but it never did get fixed. Obviously this wasn't their fault and they said it was the first time it ever happened, but it caused quite an issue with some of the people in our party since we were there for a work trip and were forced to use our phones and use up our data. BUT they were kind enough to work it out... we had stained a few of the sheets and so instead of charging us the $300 for them, they waived the $300 for the lack of the internet. So it ended okay and we were grateful they were willing to compensate us something for the inconvenience.

Overall I'd definitely recommend staying here. The house is incredible, spacious, well-cared for and safe and the owners/managers are helpful, responsive and good to work with.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your understanding. That is the worst thing that has ever happened during a guest stay. We have the fastest WiFi available in the city and a strong signal not only in the house but all the way to the back of the yard. We have used Airport Extreme routers for over a decade at various properties and NEVER has anything happened like that before. The storm took the power and burned out both modem and router even with surge protection. Wifi really was only down for a day after it was reported, we did everything possible remotely, but when we tried to work on it on site, your group member asked us to leave before we could finish even when we told her if we aborted at that point you wouldn't have wifi as there was no support on the weekend. But that wasn't communicated back to the rest of your group till after your checkout, but that is the only reason we weren't able to get it back up after the day it was reported. Now that it has happened and been fixed, we are going to make sure it never happens again. We thanks again for your understanding and would love to have you back.

Great big clean and nicely renovated place.

The professional management staff's communication was great and the property was even nicer than expected. It is close walking distance to eating, groceries, and about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute uber/taxi/drive to the French Quarter/Bourbon. The AC was on and ice cold when we got there, which was greatly appreciated stepping in from the muggy New Orleans summer weather.

Great house, excellent location

We were a group of 10 and loved staying in this wonderful house. The location is fantastic, with just a short walk to the quarter, and lots of bars, shops and restaurants nearby. Dave and Shinda were easy to work with, and helped make our experience very smooth and easy.
