Explore the quirky and funky historic French Quarter from this cozy apartment just a half-block from world-famous Bourbon St. With plenty of natural light, this one-bedroom apartment is located in a quiet section of its building, yet only steps away from the excitement of the French Quarter once you pass through the gates of the building.
Full of natural sunlight during the day, the apartment sleeps up to five comfortably, with three twin beds, a day bed with pull-out trundle. The fully equipped kitchen features a full-size stove, dishwasher, and microwave, as well as a toaster and coffee maker. There is also a full-size washer and dryer. Comfortable and convenient, you will be able to explore all day (or night!), then return to your private retreat to rest, relax and get ready to do it all again the next day!
The apartment is perfect for 2-4 guests, with a comfortable bed for everyone. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo. There is a 42' flat-screen TV in the living room with cable. Other amenities include a community swimming pool where you can hear and see some of the action on Bourbon St, yet be above it with your drinks in hand!
So come on down and enjoy some creole Living in exciting New Orleans!
We were in town for a girlfriend trip and this place was cozy and comfortable for us all to lounge, laugh, talk and cry. We were close to everything. There was some construction going on in the building but the workers were very respectful and there were no dangerous areas. We had one issue with the door lock, however Ms. Angela had it taken care of immediately upon me notifying her. I have stayed on the property in another unit as well both were great!! I will rent from Ms. Angela and Dominque again.
VERY DISAPPOINTING This property was still under construction....So we were walking in hallways covered with plywood, so the wheelbarrows would not ruin the floors underneath...We were sharing an elevator with the workman, it was all plywood inside, until Friday when apparently the owner came by and had them paint the inside black....Also was sent an email that they were moving us closer to the pool, however, pool was not filled, again it got filled on Friday with an owner visit?? but never filtered, or chlorinated, so by the time we left, it was green. But we walked down hallways with boxes of counters perhaps, tile etc still to be installed in many of the units. In fact one night a worker delivering materials said to us, You can't go down there it's a construction site!! One night even the lighting down the hallway we stayed in was off.....except for very few emergency type lighting. We were told that there was some construction, going on, but this was a major remodel and in any other city would not be certified for occupancy. It is easy to see that Big Easy Accommodations was just out to make money during jazziest. The unit itself was fair, except the 1 bed was way too large for the room, and many hurt their toes going through to the bathroom. The TV remote did not work, in spite of someone attempting to come and fix it. One of the keys did not work, although Angela was helpful in getting that replaced. One night an alarm on the first floor was going off....the fire dept had been there earlier, but it was still going off when we left and when we returned later.....Not very reassuring. Perhaps in another year the construction will be done, but I and all of my room mates were very dissatisfied with this unit.
First of all, this is not a rental by owner, it is a rental company with many units available. We were told a few days beforehand that our room was being moved closer to the pool. Awesome, we thought!!! The pool was empty!!!!!!!!! In order to get to our room, we had to walk thru a construction zone. The entire property was under construction, but mainly right where they placed us. There were planks we had to walk across (in pitch darkness at times), construction workers from 7am-5pm, making plenty of noise. It was definately unsafe to be walking thru this area many times a day. This was a huge disappointment, considering we were looking very forward to this trip and the rooftop pool. They had no interest in making anything better for our stay. There were other units that were not located in the middle of the construction zone, but we had to stay in this room for an entire week.
The unit itself was nicely decorated and the location was nice, however, very small to fit more than 3 people. It is more like a studio, since the bathroom is located where you have to go thru the bedroom to get to it. Very cramped for 4-5 people. There was also suppose to be 5 beds, and there were only 4.
We were all very disappointed in this stay, and I for one, will never use VRBO again. Many other guests were just as unhappy to arrive to what we thought was going to be a nice place. It was very misleading and disappointing for the money spent on this unit. Unfortunately, I am unable to post the pictures I took.
Extensive renovations during stay. This was not disclosed. Construction started very early every morning. Room was located in midst of construction. Informed that room was being moved to another that was closer to pool. Pool was not operational. Empty at first, then filled, but filtering system not operational. Water was dirt filled and cloudy/green in color. Hallway outside room had no lighting for 24 hours; came home late in evening to pitch black hallway. Fire alarm went off during stay; not very comforting when you are staying in a building that is having extensive construction work. I cannot believe that safety and fire codes were not being broken by allowing guests to live in a construction area. Took many pictures. As a frequent visitor to New Orleans, this was the most disappointed I have ever been with accommodations. I do not recommend this place; they were not upfront and honest about the condition of the establishment.
Perfect location to bourbon st and the apartment is well kept up and as advertised
Apartment is well kept and stocked with basic necessities. Building was under construction during our stay so coming in and out through the parking elevator was inconvenient (the elevators smell bad). Big enough to comfortably accommodate our party of four.
