The second level offers an inviting space with an open floor plan, encompassing the kitchen, dining room, and living room with large flat-screen TV and DVD player. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances and granite counter tops. A focal point is the deck, overlooking the pool, with expansive views of the ocean. The pool and spa are able to be heated seasonally only - additional fees apply - must call office in advance to confirm - does not heat if temperatures drop below 55 degrees.

The master suite has a king bed and is located on the second floor; with a bathroom that features a Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. An additional bathroom is located at the top of the stairs. Four of the bedrooms (3 have queen beds, 1 has a twin bunk bed) are located on the first level, with two full bathrooms that each have a shower-tub combo. There is also a queen sleeper sofa for extra sleeping options. At the entry level is a family room large featuring a flat screen television, DVD player, wet bar, small refrigerator, sink and ice maker, all conveniently located close to the pool deck entrance.

There is a $150, non-refundable pet fee (if there is no damage to the property); this fee is not included in online quotes or bookings. A Wonderful View from a Property in need of Renovation

There were four factors that most contributed to a great week in Hilton Head. 1. This property provided great views of the ocean from several vantage points. 2. The location, right next to a beach access path, was very handy. 3. The pool was clean and in great working condition. The kids really enjoyed it. 4. Wyndham Vacation Rental was super responsive to all our requests and was quick to dispatch help for the few minor issues that arose. I read all the negative reviews about this property before our visit and I have to say that some of the comments were true but some were either false or had been taken care of. We did not experience any lack of hot water issues and we did not have a problem with kitchenware as the kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, plates, glass ware and other utensils. However, before booking this property please be aware that the property is very dated. All bathroom vanities, in my opinion, need to replaced. Many pieces of outdoor furniture have rust and need to be replaced. For me and my family I would say that the positives of this property outweighed the negatives but I would suggest that anyone interested in this property keep and open mind and just be aware that this property has not been maintained to the level of some properties that we have seen in Hilton Head.

Spectacular views, great location, but could be better equipped for large groups

Our family of 8 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs, appreciated the location of 101 Dune and the view from the upper deck is spectacular. On the positive side the Wyndam people quickly responded to our needs: the tank on the gas grill ran out, the shower head in the powder room was not good and was replaced. We also appreciated the text message of when the place could be occupied, ahead of the 4 o’clock stated time.

However, there were some issues especially in the kitchen. Since we cooked the majority of our stay, we found the kitchen not as well equipped as a home that we had previously rented on Dune Lane. First of all there were only 2 dinner size plates and only 10 forks available. We scrambled for cooking gear to make do when cooking for 12 people. Also, in our information packet it was explicit that plastic ware was to be used around the pool and at the beach, not a piece was found in the home. Thank heavens for paper plates, red solo cups, which we learned can be run through the dishwasher, and a few plastic glasses that we brought with us.

The overall appearance of the furniture was vintage garage sale, much nicer looking in the photos. We noticed light bulbs that needed to be replaced (foyer) and the skylights in the powder room were infested with dead bugs.

Overall we had a great week with the weather in the 80’s and everyone enjoyed the pool, although the spa not being heated was not as therapeutic as a could have been.

We have gone through and inspected the kitchen inventory and replaced all missing and worn supplies. We also replaced all missing lights and sprayed an additional time for pest. The Property Manager is also working with the homeowner and encouraging them to do further upgrades on the home. We do recognize this property is more of a casual beach house and have the rental rates adjusted to reflect that. Nonetheless, we are again truly sorry for your experience and hope you give us the opportunity to provide you with a much better vacation on your next trip to the Island!

Dissapointing

Don't do it........I know pictures look good but this house is in need of serious upgrades from appliances to furniture. Top problems: Refrigerator never got below 49, terrible water pressure, cold showers, filthy dirty air return grates, million ants around pool, peeling paint on deck furniture, cob webs in living room. I would say there have been no ugrades in 20+ years. I brought 2 adult children and 3 grand kids down for a week of vacation. This house's condition negatively impacted our trip. Not worth 1/3 the price.

Kudos to Wyndham for fast swap out on gas grill that didn't work.

Great house In a great location

101 Dune Lane is a really nice place. We read some sour reviews on it but it was available the week we wanted, is pet friendly and figured Wyndham would not handle a property that was too bad. We were glad we tried it as the positives far outweighed the negatives. Pros: it is literally 10 steps from the quiet residential area of the beach, the pool and hot tub are wonderful along wth the pool deck and back yard with some grass for Fido, it is a mile from Coligny Plaza which is easily walkable by beach or by street, the big upper deck has a nice big grill, sliders to the main living and kitchen and great ocean views, the furniture is top quality and new'ish, the residential neighborhood is quiet with more bikes than cars, there is an outdoor shower off the beach and pool, there are two bathrooms on the lower level for easy access from the pool, king master with bath is on upper with four bedrooms lower ( three doubles and a set of bunkbeds ). Cons: a couple sliders to the decks are sticky and need to go ( pool guy said they're going this winter ), the cosmetic knicks and dings compliments of the traveling public need to get fixed, one last piece of carpeting in the closet needs to go. That's it. Oh , Wyndham does not provide a lot of provisions so plan a trip to Piggly Wiggly at Coligny or five minutes to Publix left off Palmetto. This nice house is a great value in a great location. We would do it again and we are really picky.

Comfortable Place On the Beach with Private Pool

Our group included my wife, two grandchildren and my son and his girlfriend. There was plenty of room for everyone (five bedrooms) with easy access to the beach. The kitchen had all needed appliances and utensils. Overall a fun place to stay, everyone had a good time. Gave it four stars because of some maintenance issues. Most outside lights did not work (would have felt more comfortable because this was not in a gated community), smoke detector in the entryway was not operable, pool light did not work and the refrigerator door shelves were unusable. Some of the outside lights had motion detectors on them and could get one of them to work by waving my hand directly in front of it, the others just did not work. None of these things detracted from the stay, just made sure we locked the place up good at night.
