Beautiful 7 BR 4 bath oceanfront beach house. Located in the beautiful Oceanside neighborhood of Spinnaker's Reach. Beautiful views for miles up and down the island with wide, clean, white sand beaches. The cottage has three levels, two of which have beautiful views of the beach, the lower level with a grill, hot/cold outside shower, and storage for beach chairs and umbrellas. There are hardwood floors throughout except for the kitchen and bathrooms, TV's in all bedrooms and a 50 inch flat screen TV in the family room. COMFORTABLE BEDS! PARKING FOR 5 cars (two additional with owner parking pass), Pool with covered and open areas with lounge chairs and picnic tables as well as children's play area just at the end of the driveway! Well equipped kitchen, deck furniture, sofa bed, and beautiful views. Soft water system, new charcoal grill, corn hole (portable), and the 7th bedroom with ping pong table in a bay of the garage, stereo, DVD players, sleeps 18, dining capacity is 18.

There are two queen bedrooms and 1 bath and 1 sofa bed (Q) on the top level floor, three bedrooms (1 Q, 1 K, 2 singles) and two bathrooms on the middle level, and 2 bedrooms (1 K, 2 sets of bunk beds) and 1 full bath on the lower level. The 7th bedroom and garage bay will also be set up as a game room with ping pong table, , assorted games, and 2 sets of bunk beds. Great for the kids on rainy days or evenings! IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2016 - new hardwood floors for living room and dining room, upgraded deck furniture, . During the summer season, it rents from Saturday to Saturday. Starting October 9, 2016 it rents from Sunday to Sunday for the cold months.

THERE WAS PLENTY OF PORPOISE WATCHING, THE WAVES WERE JUST RIGHT, AND WE ONLY HAD ONE CLOUDY DAY - PERFECT FOR A LITTLE SHOPPING. A fantastic vacation was had by all!

What a great place to enjoy our family vacation and celebrate my parents' 58th wedding anniversary! The weather was perfect, the house great and a fun time was had by all! The beds were so comfortable and the layout of the house was great. We came in from Georgia, NC and PA, ranged in age from 19 to 81 with the ruling princess who was 17 months old and enjoying her first trip to the beach!

Imrovements for next year include a new refrigerator, new hardwood floor in the living room and dining room, better arrangement for the living room TV/cable box, Bluray player, router, phone, improvements in the 7th bedroom/gameroom - more games, table for board games. Great location very clean house.

We just left our lovely vacation from May 17 thru May 23, had a wonderful time. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, the owner has some umbrellas to use which is nice. The seating for meals is excellent plenty of room for large family dinners. We would highly recommend this home to all, thanks so much.

West inside is serviceable; outside deck was wornout and trashed with glass over all three decks!

We booked this rental for 5 families, including three children. We arrived before 4pm so we only saw the outside of the unit first. There were beer cans and trash including more than 100 cigarettes in the area around the unit (this is advertised as a non-smoking unit). We found the decks worn and uneven with broken glass (most likely from a broken table on the lower deck) strewn all over all three decks. One of the AC unit’s wooden supports had collapsed to the ground. Comparing East to the West side was worse. East side is well maintained and clean; less bedrooms but more money per week. Inside the west side was serviceable. The bedrooms were tidy (each with a TV and cable), the bathrooms were clean, there is plenty of seating for a large group and the AC worked very well. There are two extra fridges in the garage for extra storage. However, the vents are grey with dust, there is mold on the ceiling and stains on the couches. Floors are scratched and some of the sliding doors are difficult to slide. My main issue with this rental the lack of response from the owner about the glass strewn all over the outside of the unit. Once we were in the unit, my husband took photos of problems and at 4:15pm on Saturday (Check in), called the owner to let him know about the glass as it was dangerous to walk outside. He advised that a contractor would be notified to come out to address it. On Sunday morning, I spent an hour sweeping broken glass off the top, middle and lower decks so no one would be injured (ON OUR VACATION!) and cleaning up all the cigarette butts all over. We had no further communication from the owner or a contractor about anything until the contractor came unannounced on Tuesday to see it for himself. He then came back on Wednesday to clean the remaining glass and fix the platform for the AC unit. This is no way to do business. The owner did not respond to correct the glass safety issue. No excuse. No one contacted us after the initial phone call with any plan to clean or fix anything, so I did it myself. In addition, the unit is on the beach but in between two separate public access ramps which makes the beach area more crowded than in other areas. We have spent many vacations on NC beaches. Realty companies are very responsive to complaints & so much more helpful! This is the most disappointing experience we have ever had! This unit is cheaper than others in the complex but if you have high expectations, my advice is to AVOID this VRBO!

Owner's Response: Unfortunately, this is the result of having a very bad guest. My house is a non-smoking house but you don' know if your guest is a smoker or not. This guest chose to smoke on the deck and just throw their butts and other trash over the handrail to the grassy area below. They also broke the glass on the deck table and did not bother to clean up any of their mess. My cleaning crew did attempt to clean up the mess but were restricted by time to clean their other houses. Unfortunately, this happened on a Friday late so a clean up was not possible on the weekend. I did contact my contractor immediatley and requested a cleanup asap. As far as the AC unit platform, I had already contacted my AC contractor and was waiting for a quote to fix that. He assured me there was no danger and that it would not affect the operation of the unit. This was an unfortunate incident. Sometimes things happen at a bad time and cannot be looked at in 24 hours. I have contractors that I use who are very good, but they do have other customers and cannot always come exactly when I need them. Also, there is only one public access, not two. I try to make my guest's stay as trouble free as possible. I think that is indicated in some of the other reviews for this property.

Beautiful large home right on the ocean!

We loved this home! We had 14 people, (four families) sharing the house, and everyone had their own space and bathroom.The shared living area was great, the decks facing the ocean were wonderful. Our larger group of 36for a family reunion made great use of the clubhouse. We never could have fed that many people in any one of our houses. The other 2 houses were close by and the kids walked to their cousins houses. A very safe neighborhood for kids. Just a little warning, come prepared with toilet paper and bath soap, there was very little of that available. If you arrive expecting to barbegue bring a bag of charcoal! There is no gas grill at the house. The kitchen had salt and pepper, that was all ! I have to mark Steve down for communication , as some emails went unanswered. A large beautiful home, comfortable beds, you will love this place!

Wonderful!

Much more spacious than appears on the photos. Great open floor plan, allows for quality visiting and family time. Extra door between the 2 upstairs bedrooms and living area on top floor for noise control. House is very convenient to the ocean!! We had a fabulous week. The owner was helpful. We would stay in this house every year!

Great vacation

We have stayed in this house two different years (2013 & 2015). We had a wonderful experience each time. The house is very well maintained. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you will need. The owner is great and very easy to work with. We will certainly stay here again.
