About Shannon Provence
41 years old . Married with 2 kids
Shannon Provence purchased this Cabin in 2009
Why Shannon Provence chose Guntersville
This property is a true summer camp (woodsy) type deal. It is close enough to town (10 min), if you want McDonald's but it is in the woods away from it all. The YMCA camp is neighboring. Most homes are summer cottages. If you want to escape. Here it !
What makes this Cabin unique
Serine, in the woods! I provide use of canoe's, paddle boat, and kayaks with property!!! See pics! Somewhat remote but close enough to restaurants. Bat caves, Trails, ancient grave yard, great neighbors, plenty of parking, smooth water.
Sports & Adventure Activities
We enjoyed the location and the cabin!! It was very cozy for the two of us for our anniversary. We really enjoyed the fishing and brought back many bags of fish for our annual fish fry!! I will visit many more times going forward!!! Great job Shannon and Maria!! They even assisted in getting my wife flowers and gifts in the cabin before we arrived!!!
4 of us went down for the weekend. We found the cabin to be very well stocked with towels, linens, garbage bags, cleansers and detergents, which isn't something we're used to. Additionally, there was wood for the fire pits...happy, happy. The cabin has a rustic feel inside, so very cute. Kitchen was well stocked, but needs: Pizza pan and cutter, can opener (there are two and they don't work) and a measuring cup. Other than that, the kitchen is very well stocked with all the needs. The boats needed to be turned over as not to take on water. They were full of water and so we did not use them. But thank you very much! We will return...
We had a wonderful stay
Very comfortable and clean
Kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat
Location was great
We will return as soon as we can
Great place! Very comfortable.
Little tough to back the boat down to but, overall, very nice.
Great for a quiet getaway.
Cozy and comfy for a family of four. Really enjoyed the fire pit by the house and the gentle approach to the water. Had everything we needed to eat all of our meals there.
Nice quiet weekend
My husband and I had a very relaxing weekend at the cabin. We were able to fish on the lake on Friday and caught just enough for our supper. Even though it rained the rest of our weekend it was still very pleasant. Our lab really enjoyed her time swimming and playing in the lake. The only suggestion I would make is to have a place to clean our fish down at the dock. Otherwise we had everything we needed!
