Whether you are just visiting or have lived in the area for a while, spending the night on a luxury yacht in the harbor is a unique experience! We are very excited to be able to provide you the perfect location to do just that!
ABOUT THE YACHT
“Asterisk” is a 43’ President Motor Yacht. She comfortably sleeps four adults in two queen staterooms, each complete with a private head (bathroom) and shower. Extra sleeping arrangements can be accommodated for children. Eat breakfast or grab cocktails on the aft deck while watching sailboats go by. Prep your own meals in the galley (kitchen) and eat in at your cozy dinette. Features A/C and diesel heat to keep you cool or warm, no matter what the weather outside may be.
WHAT’S ON BOARD
Your beds will be made up with luxury linens, blankets, pillows and duvets and we’ll supply fluffy towels, face cloths, soaps etc. The galley (kitchen) has a two burner cooker and oven, a microwave, small fridge and plenty of wine glasses, crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. There's plenty of fresh drinking water on board and we’ll also leave you with cooking basics like salt, pepper, tea, coffee, fresh milk etc and a welcome bowl of snacks. The yacht has two heads (bathrooms) with hot showers and whisper quiet electric toilets. In the saloon there’s USB charging for your phones, a stereo system (with Aux input for your phone) and a TV. On deck there’s a huge awning to keep you cool, and a table for dining outside.
WILL I HAVE FUN?
Yes! Located in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, MV Asterisk provides an expansive view of the Boston skyline and wonderful sea breezes. Walking distance to the USS Constitution, Freedom Trail, Bunker Hill monument, and North End. A quick Uber or Water Taxi can take you anywhere else you need to go!
WHAT TO BRING
Anything you want! Getting on and off the boat is just as easy as staying at a hotel. During check-in, we will provide a key-fob for easy access onto the marina (similar to a hotel room key). To prevent damage to the teak woodwork on board we do ask that please wear soft-soled (non marking) shoes while on board. You can change into heels on the dock!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Can I take the boat out?
While you do have access to the entire boat during your stay, the boat cannot leave the dock. If you would like to arrange for a boat tour of Boston during your stay, please ask, and we can put you in touch with the best local charter options!
• What are the check-in and check-out times?
Arrival times for overnight stays are typically at 3pm, check-out is at 11am. Please contact us if you plan to arrive early.
• Is there wifi on board?
• Can we get picked up or dropped off at different wharves around the harbor?
Of course! There are water taxis that can take you directly from the airport to the marina, and from the boat to anywhere else you may need to go.
• Is there parking nearby?
Yes – parking at the marina is available for $25/day (from May – October) or $10/day (November – April)
• Will we be comfortable?
The yacht is wonderfully comfortable! There's >6 ft of headroom (approx 2 m) in the cabin, and the beds just as large as queen-size beds you'd have at home. Please also bear in mind that the boat is on water and it will move. While 99% of guests are absolutely fine with the boat's gentle (and very soothing) movement, if you're the kind of person who feels queasy just looking at boats, then please don't make a booking.
