Rosalyn purchased this house in 2013
This property uniquely captures the beauty and solace of a quiet hideaway in the hills yet still is located so close to the sights and amenities of Hollywood. We have something to offer everyone whether you are a family coming to visit Hollywood for the first time or a writer looking for peace and quiet yet nearby inspiration.
Amazing price, historical and convenient location (walking score of 88), quiet and comfortable home. What more could you need ? We are dedicated to making your stay easy, enjoyable and unforgettable!
Rosalyn's place was amazing! Perfect location just a few minutes walk to the Loews Hotel and Walk of Fame- it was much closer than we expected. There is a little uphill when heading back to the house, but not too bad. For Hollywood it was pretty quiet- and it's on a dead-end street. The house was very comfy and well appointed. It had everything we needed and more. The kitchen well stocked with cookware (a hodgepodge and some of it had seen better days, but certainly usable) and some spices, teas and other items (looked like maybe some things left from previous guests which was great!), & blender. The stove took a bit to get used to, but we had a great time cooking. The bathroom had a blow dryer, lots of different shampoos, conditioners, body wash as well as q-tips and cotton balls. Plenty of wonderful towels. The shower was a bit tricky getting in and out of. The couches were comfy, great TV (including a small one in the front bedroom), videos to watch, books, brochures of things to do plus lots of touches to make you feel at home. The house is older, but that was part of the charm. The court yard is lovely piece of heaven and having safe private parking was a real plus. Beds were comfortable with nice linens. Rosalyn was quick to respond to questions and when there was a mix up with our payment she was quick with helping us take care of it- excellent customer service before, during and after the visit. We were a bit concerned that the walk down to the Loews (where we were attending a conference) would be tough on our son who deals with chronic pain, but it was much closer than we thought. We were able to walk down to the hotel and Walk of Fame in just a few minutes- and it's a pretty walk! Walk back to the house was a bit tough on my son, but a breeze for us. I recommend talking a walk (or drive) up the next street over- there is a neat view of the Hollywood sign to the north east. I went for a run from the house and went up the hills then downtown. If you want to see the sights without a ton folks around, I recommend going down early in the morning. This was especially great to see the Stars and the Chinese Theater. There is a donut shop and Starbucks a short walk away and a Trader Joe's and tons of restaurants a short drive away (traffic can turn it into a 15-20 minute trip).
I highly recommend staying at Rosalyn's- I would definitely stay there on any future trips to the area- our wish our stay had been longer. A++!
Thank you for sharing your home. The location is perfect for what we wanted. It is a very unique little gem steps away for the rush of Hollywood. Having a secure parking spot was very nice.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is quiet and cozy with comfortable beds. Our host was extremely responsive. There were no problems.
Really could not have been happier with our short 2 night stay. The house is tucked away in a nice, safe neighborhood but is walking distance from the hustle of Hollywood Blvd and the Hollywood Bowl (which is why we were in town - perfect place to stay if you're going to a show).
The house was nice and clean and the gated off street parking was great.
Overall incredible value and Rosalyn was a wonderful host.
What a cute place and location! So close to everything ! We loved our stay and we hope we can come back soon! My family loved it!
We had a great stay at Rosalyn's place. The house was nice and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds were good size and comfortable. Having a private parking spot behind an automatic door was great! Location was really close to some of the main attractions in LA. Rosalyn was very responsive and helpful before and during the stay. One thing that can improve is the number and condition of the cooking utensils in the kitchen. But if you do not plan to cook at home the kitchen have more than enough. Will definitely consider Rosalyn's place for our next visit.
