St. Augustine’s rich heritage makes the city and its surroundings a unique getaway for visitors. Founded in September 1565 by Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles of Spain, St. Augustine is the oldest continually inhabited European-founded city in the United States – more commonly called the 'Nation’s Oldest City.' Visit St. Augustine and dive into more than four centuries of history that owes much to the Spanish and English, to Greeks and Native Americans and African Americans. Stroll the narrow lanes, enter the many museums, visit landmarks such as Castillo de San Marcos, Ponce de Leon's 'Fountain of Youth,' and the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse. As the nation's oldest port, there's also plenty to do in and around the water, with a plethora of boating activities and resources and some of the state's most accessible beaches. St. Augustine – a place for history buffs and everyone else.

Great location! Cozy!

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed with our two boys, 3 and 11. The space was perfect for us. The boys slept comfortably in the sofa bed. We cooked several meals at the cottage and had no problem preparing meals. There is no oven, but the toaster/oven worked well for any needs we had. We walked to everything in downtown St. Augustine! We love the location! There is a beautiful view of the river and inlet from the dock. The cottage has a lot of character, and is clean. We drove to both St. Augustine Beach, and Vilano Beach. Vilano is closer and less populated. We loved that area! We definitely recommend this property!

Property with Awesome Location and Southern Charm

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I certainly enjoyed our stay here as the proximity to the water and downtown area was perfect! Unfortunately, thanks to a recent visit from Hurricane Irma, the landscape in St. Augustine was in need of some TLC, and with another incoming storm cutting our stay short, we did not have time to enjoy the kayaks or bikes, but that just makes us want to come back to enjoy this amazing property and historical city to it's fullest. Thanks to Sandy for welcoming us upon our arrival, making us feel right at home! Can't wait to come back...

Loved every minute!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Carriage House for several days and were thoroughly pleased. It is a charming and spacious apartment with a great kitchen that is nicely stocked with the niceties one might forget. All of the facilities are very functional, especially the air conditioners- very important in St A in the summertime! The property manager, was very accommodating and accessible. We had a difficult time leaving, but will be back for sure!

Wonderful!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at the carriage house. We enjoyed riding bikes and kayaking in the mornings. Everything was close enough to walk. The caretaker, Sandy, was very helpful. Our trip to the beach was made even better with the use of the beach chairs. The king bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your property.
