About Gayle Clarke
Hello, Welcome to THE LYTTLE HOUSE. We Live on the Mainland in Bedfordshire, Pretty in its self but not a patch on The Isle Of Wight. Barry grew up in Co.Cavan, Ireland, another beautiful part of the world, and I (Gayle) in dear old Bedfordshire. We have wonderful neighbors Dot and Eddie who are very kind and look after The Lyttle House for us. They live on the Island and are a mine of information if you need any tips on where to go and where this is or that is. if you read our feed back nearly every one mentions our lovely neighbours.
Gayle Clarke purchased this Bungalow in 2006
Why Gayle Clarke chose Freshwater
My brother moved to the Isle of Wight, we had lots of lovely holidays on the Island. Then thinking of buying a house boat, my brother suggested Brambles Chine, We came up to just have a look, nothing more. just look......... Well 9 or 10 years on you know what happened, so pleased the look turned out to be a buy. Now hoping we will retire to the Island one day.
What makes this Bungalow unique
We are so lucky 3 minutes from the lovely beach, So many lovely walks. There is a field approx 100 yards away and I love nothing more than to sit and eat my breakfast watching the cows munching theirs. I love an evening walk down by the beach to colwell bay, with a glass of wine in my hand and to watch the the gentle waves on the beach, Maybe a meal of Spare ribs , (We can really recommend them) Well its just so lovely you cannot describe it, Come on Over and see for yourself. if you cannot find the dates you need please contact us, We always try to accommodate our guests. I can do Bookings up to Nov, and then again for Xmas and New year, Then again from Feb on wards. Thank you for taking the time to look at our Lyttle House. Gayle and Barry Lyttle. (now you know why its called the Lyttle House)

Great Lyttle House.
We spent a lovely week at the property that was small and compact in a fantastic location. It suited our needs perfectly.
Good value for money
Impressed with bedding and white soft bath towels, my favourites!
Had everything you would want and more.
Enjoyed our short stay very much. Thank you.
Excellent holiday home
Very well equipped holiday home. Comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Easily accessed open wifi. A few potholes on the road in were filled during our stay but still needs a lot more work. Would happily stay again.
Another great stay
Brilliant accommodation, it was clean and tidy, comfortable and cosy. With extra essential items left for us to use such as cling film for homemade sandwiches and milk.
Everything we needed was there and it was a great location to everything the Isle of Wight has to offer.
Lyttle house in a great location
We had a great stay. House is v. close to beach, well equipped, and had everything we need. It's not huge, has a bumpy road on the way in (which we understand is being repaired soon) but these are the only relative negatives. Loads to do nearby, and everywhere on the island is accessible. As others have commented, Dot and Barry are great - excellent neighbours.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to write a review for our Lyttle House, we are so very lucky to have a lovely sandy beach so close, and as it is private to Brambles chine it never gets to busy, yes the road like many is needing repair, and it's on the list, so fingers crossed it won't be long. Dot our neighbour and key holder are right next door, so very handy if you need anything , they live on the island so have plenty of ideas of where to go if you are stuck,
Enjoy the soft sandy beaches of the isle of Wight, nearest is less than 3 minutes walk.
Beautiful views across to Old harry rocks at Swanage, and Hurst Castle less than two miles across the waters of the Solent.
This four person bungalow offers a perfect location for enjoying the sights and sounds of the island, whether by foot, car or bus.it is an ideal base for water sports, swimming, fishing, fossil collecting, walking, superb sandy beach with a cafe, plenty for the children.
The historic and picturesque harbour town of Yarmouth is nearby with ferries to the mainland on a regular basis.
Many interesting places to visit The home of Queen Victoria, Alfred Tennyson and many more; Visit the castle at Carisbrooke where King Charles spent his last night.
Of course there is the delightful Freshwater, only a stroll away for shops pubs and food.
Walk over the cliffs to Alum bay where you can collect the famous coloured sand and of course visit the Needles
Come and enjoy
