About Addison Birdine
In 2005, I traveled to Costa Rica with friends just to see the country. At that time, I was employed with the City of Los Angeles Fire Department. I really had no idea I would come to fall in love with the natural beauty of this Country and its very friendly people. Following my first visit to this country and the feeling of peace I had while there, I was convinced I wanted to purchase the land my home is now built on. Within three years construction was completed, and I have enjoyed each and every visit. In 2011, after 31 years in what I consider is one of the most stressful occupations in the world, I retired. I continue to travel to Costa Rica on a regular basis and have decided that others must experience one of the worlds natural beauties!!!!
Addison Birdine purchased this House in 2006
Why Addison Birdine chose Bejuco
Because I grew up in a large city, to me the beauty of this property was the location. It is within close proximity to what I consider is a very private beach. Yet, the property is close enough to towns and tourism activities and If I feel the need to enjoy shopping, restaurants and an exciting night life. Additionally, while most of the homeowners do not live in the complex on a permanent basis (there are some that are here year around), this community is not short of feeling like home. There are parts of this country that are still unspoiled, and I can only imagine that this is what Hawaii must have felt like prior to becoming a tourist mecca.
What makes this House unique
While my house may be modern in terms of architecture (I really like the Mediterranean look), it is still basically in the 'Rain Forest'. Occasionally you will see monkeys in the trees that are adjacent to the property, and with the beach being so close, it is the perfect vacation location.

Wonderfull place. My family enjoyed every moment during our second stay. 100% recommended !!
Amazing house, great location
This was our 3rd stay here, so obviously we love it! The house is so well cared for. Every year we find upgrades have been made making an already wonderful house even more comfortable.
The pool is well kept, the gardens are constantly cared for, everything is clean, we have no complaints.
The location is perfect in our opinion, but a car is needed. It's a bit isolated (between jaco and paritta), although in the last year a plaza has opened up with several restaurants and shops, only a short walk from the house. This made eating out much easier. The area seems to be developing quite fast over the past two years.
The beach is a short walk from the house. Not a great swimming beach but perfect for playing in the sand, long walks and relaxing.
There are lots of day trips to do in the area.
Feels like home
This was our second stay here. House had everything needed for an enjoyable vacation. The pool is nice and great for a late swim. Close to most attractions and restaurants. Other than a water issue due to a broken filter for 2 days very pleasant trip. Already planning to return in 6 months
What a beautiful place. There was lots of space for our family of 5. Every bedroom had its own bathroom. Marco made sure everything was okay for us and orientated us to the place. We enjoyed the short 7-10 minute walk to the beach to enjoy swimming, surfing and the most amazing sunsets. There are not many people on the beach and you can walk along way and not get to the end of it. The gated community was safe and very well maintained. We drove to Parrita a couple times to shop at the butcher, bakery and grocery store. We enjoyed the delicious fruit and vegetables we bought from the vendors along the road to Parrita. Manuel Antonio National Park is an easy drive- but go early to miss crowds and heat. Everything in the condo worked well. It was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of cooking pots and pans, coffee maker and blender. Having a BBQ was great to cook outside and not heat up the inside of the condo. The pool was nice for cooling off. Enjoyed relaxing outside on the chairs. The A/C and internet worked great. We loved this place and would stay here again.
Throughly enjoyed our family stay here. The house was lovely and we really enjoyed the backyard and community pools. Very friendly community. We went for long beach walks each day, saw macaws and returned to the beach for beautiful sunsets. The grocery and restaurants at the Town Centre just up the road are very convenient. Would love to return for another winter escape!
With a car, you can do as much or as little as you wish. We enjoyed surfing in Jaco, the rainmaker walk and local restaurants with great beach views.
We had all we needed. Kitchen with all appliances you need, comfortable beds, bathroom for each room. Great location. Marco, the house manager was also very no e and helpful.
Centrally Located between the City of Jaco and Manual Antonio, Costa Del Sol is your perfect getaway spot. With the beach of Playa Bejuco within a 300 meter walk, and restaurants nearby. There is also a small Mom & Pop grocery store nearby for essential needs. For the adventurous soul, Manual Antonio National Park offers nature walks that are second to none. Even closer, is a nature walk known as the 'Rainmaker'. The town of Jaco is known for its surfing competitions, souvenir shopping, its night life, and ample restaurants to choose from. Whether you choose to simply relax and enjoy the amenities surrounding this complex (horseback riding, nature walks, beach, restaurants, etc), or experience the beauty of this beautiful country, this is the perfect location.
