Come check out Woodstock & the Green Mountains! The place has been fully renovated and is finally available for rent.
We found this 1890 farmhouse and immediately fell in love with it. Now that the renovations are complete, the apartment has local Vermont slate floors and a local maple countertop. We also polished the hardwood floors, painted the unit, and purchased new furniture and mattresses. Both bathrooms have also been given a complete makeover.
The Woodstock area has everything you could ask for: swimming holes, lakes, hiking, biking, and skiing. Killington is 20 minutes away, as well as the green mountain forest, Quechee gorge, Silver Lake and route 100. There are numerous trails and mountain hikes within a 5 minute walk.
If you are exploring the area in pursuit of culture and night-life, Woodstock, Killington, Quechee, and Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH can provide all sorts of activities. The house is a 60 second walk to the center of town, including the historic Woodstock Inn, and other great restaurants and shops.
Gotta get up to get down.

About Ryan Scanlon
I am an avid skier and hiker. I always dreamed of having a place in Vermont, until 2013 when it became a reality. I work for an energy startup based out of California, and I bounce around between Boston, VT, & Portland, ME. I travel to California & Colorado frequently for work.
Ryan Scanlon purchased this Apartment in 2013
Why Ryan Scanlon chose Village of Woodstock
I was staying next door, and I wandered over to this house to ask for the internet password.. the rest was history. The previous owner was Mr. Harlow, and he is the person the property is now named after. I live in Boston/Portland, and it never ceases to amaze me that I can be at this house (and a completely different world)- in two hours flat.
What makes this Apartment unique
You won't find any space in the area that is as clean as this apartment. We just finished restoring the unit and it shows. It's right in town, and you can walk to hiking trails and the farmer's market in minutes.

Small, but nicely done apartment
The apartment was a bit small for our family (5 people) but was clean and nicely renovated. I would advise renters to bring soap, coffee, and basic necessities, as those were not supplied. We were there during a record cold wave, so we wished there was a fireplace and some warm blankets. But the location is fantastic, just steps from Woodstock Village.
We had a great stay. It's exactly as described.
Perfect location and size
We visited for the GMHA; the condo is just a few miles away, making it super convenient. The ad didn't mention the park directly across the street that was super nice for the little ones to play & wind down before dinner.
The bedrooms are a good size, beds comfortable and the kitchen is very cute and user friendly.
GMHA Horse Show
Lovely condo, perfect for the 4 of us showing at GMHA horse show. Ryan was easy to work with and quickly corrected an initial overbooking problem. Convenient to town, plenty of linens, well-equipped kitchen.
Nice but noisy.
The place was very good. 3 bedrooms, very comfortable. But it was the first floor and you could hear the folks on the 2nd floor walking around until after 11 pm. Since we had to get up early, noise made a difference.
Well maintained, light and airy, well located.
A comfortable, roomy and well maintained three bedroom apartment within easy walking distance to the centre of the village. There were no unexpected surprises. The place and location lived up to expectations and descriptions. Ryan was very available and helpful, answering questions and providing information. The location was ideal, allowing us to walk to all the local shops and museums and trails. I would definitely recommend the place to others.
