Outstanding in every way for a large muti-generational family with dogs & teens

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely property over the Thanksgiving weekend 2017. Our party consisted of: Nana, two couples, 5 teen children and their dogs. This house is spacious, clean and well appointed. Although the owner clearly uses the property regularly, the home is not cluttered with personal items and the cabinets/closets have plenty of room for what you bring along with you. The linens and towels are abundant and also high quality.

The kitchen...WOW! We are serious cooks and I had reservations about how adequate the kitchen would be to cook Thanksgiving dinner...I was so thrilled to find a well appointed kitchen. Everything I needed was there (plus much more I didn't need) and there were more than enough plates, glassware and flatware for everyone. Also, there is an extra refrigerator in the garage.

The yard is very big and empty lots sit on both sides of the property. This creates a very private and quiet stay. I had great peace of mind knowing that our dogs were safely contained within the fenced yard. The landscaping was superb! I spent lots of time admiring many unfamiliar trees and flowers. Plenty of space to park several cars.

We particularly enjoyed the two living room spaces. The teens could be watching TV or playing pool at one end of the home and we could be in the living room space at the other end. The views out the windows are simply stunning!

The pier was of particular enjoyment to us. We are from inland areas and unfamiliar with the patterns of tides. My mother and I found it fascinating to watch how the area changed so dramatically with the tides. We saw dolphins off the pier several times. Sunset views are just as impressive, maybe more, than the photos depict. The weather was cool at the end of November and I would have liked to have some throw blankets to use while sitting on the pier. Next time I'll bring some.

The location was perfect for us as well. Only a short drive to downtown Beaufort and the Hunting Island State Park (beach).

We've rented many homes as a group and this was by far one of the nicest. The customer service was exceptional as well. We had no problems. But, I feel certain that any issues would have been promptly addressed if we had.

Wonderful place to relax and reconnect with tidal rythms of the Low Country.

Great sunsets plenty of blue crabs to catch from the dock with the owners traps.

The house is very spacious and well stocked with just about everything you might want.

Pleanty of room for a large group to gather together and also enjoy separate activities, at times.

Owners and agent were very attentive to our communications.

Having a Walmart and other shopping a shrt drive from the house made food shopping a breeze. Local restaurants are few -- but well worth exploring. Five Stars!!!

Beautiful, peaceful space for family reunion

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of space for 8 adults and 2 children to enjoy the July 4 weekend. It was comfortable, peaceful, and had all the essentials. Lots of towels, sheets, and a well stocked kitchen. The dock area was beautiful and used round the clock. We saw dolphins in the evening, crabbed, fished, and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. Got our beach fix at Hunting State park, only 15 min drive. Really friendly town and fun restaurants and shops to enjoy. Couldn't recommend this spot more! St. Helena is a hidden gem!

Home away from home

My Family rented this home for a graduation. My son earned the title United States Marine. The home was very clean, had plenty of bed rooms and bath rooms. The kitchen and living areas were more than adequate. A short drive to Parris Island which worked out well for my family. The owners of this home care about it and it shows.

Secluded fishing spot

House was perfect. We brought our boat to fish from. We really didn't need the boat. Fishing from the covered dock was fabulous.
