Great vacation home!
We had a great time, from start to finish! It was easy to meet our contact, get in, and get out on check-out day. We used almost everything: the pool; the hot tub; the fire pit; the grill; the DVD player; the kitchen; the ping-pong table; the A.C.; the wifi; etc. Everything worked well and was ready for us and convenient. The location is great, the views are beautiful, there's a lemon tree in the backyard, the neighborhood has some great mid-century modern homes. We would seriously consider renting this property again. It's a great vacation spot!
Fun times in PS / Accomodations need improvements
Love Palm Springs, really enjoyed all the things we did locally and the weather was pretty wonderful. Property management team was GREAT to work with; very professional and it was seamless! As for our accommodations, at check-in, one person in our party was able to get there for early check-in at 1pm and was greeted respectfully. This is the first time I have ever encountered having to meet someone when I have rented a house but it only took 5 minutes and the gentleman was very nice and they did allow us to check-in early with no additional fees. As for the house, there were many things we were unhappy with. A few things we all were disappointed with were very important to us as to renting this place again. For us the beds were all very uncomfortable; too soft, sinking into the Master bedroom mattress was the worst. Unable to comfortably move to the middle of the bed. I believe there was only one wash cloth for each bathroom when the house accommodates 6 people. We were short on towels also, but we did do a load of laundry, and we had to go to the store to buy a $3.00 bottle of laundry detergent before we could do a wash. There was only one extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom. It did say that renters were responsible for their own sundries but its not accommodating to have to go to the store to purchase all these items. We only had one roll of paper towels that we ran out of. Not one back-up roll. The property had lots of ants, and also on the kitchen counter. We are very clean people and don't leave food out but there were still ants. There were stains on the master bedroom carpet and some of the furniture. The sunlight in the guest bath was very dirty on the outside so not much light came in. The pool floats in the garage were heavily worn and one was still there that was totally destroyed.. so why keep it? Some extra chairs in the garage but one was broken and unusable, others seemed to be ok. When we arrived the hot tub/pool were dirty, pool guy was coming the next day. Hot tub was the worst. Utensils and cooking pans were very used and old. You can get cheap ones at Bed Bath and Beyond or Target for $1 each sometimes. Just an FYI for other renters the pool heat stays at 84 degrees and just wasn't warm enough for us. Maybe 88 degrees would be perfect. The pool is in half shade almost all day due to tall shrubs at the fence line. The hot tub was hot though so that was nice. Overall ok house for the price but we wouldn't rent it again.
Another enjoyable stay
Since this was our 5th visit to this lovely property, need we say more. It is our "go to" getaway. Avian, Mike and Michelle always assure our needs are met. Even though we spend most of the time at the house, we enjoy eating at Sherman's, LuLu's, El Mirasol and Giuseppe's. We highly recommend a visit to the PS Art museum and the PS Air museum. Our visits are always relaxing, and our grandchildren (ages 9 and 7) have a great time. In fact, they frequently ask when are we going to Palm Springs?
Our family of four had a fantastic vacation at this home!! From go, things started off very smoothly, with prompt communication from the property manager Mike. He met us at the home and welcomed us with a friendly smile and answered any questions we had. The house is very comfortable and clean. Perfect location, with a short Uber ride to downtown. Close to grocery stores. And 2 blocks away from the dog park which suited us well for our little Maltipoo. The backyard is very sunny. We loved the firepit. roasted marshmellows and hotdogs for lunch!! Highly recommend this vacation home. Thanks again to Mike for being so accommodating for us.
Palm Springs Perfection
Upon a recommendation from a friend, we stayed at this gorgeous home for a family member’s milestone birthday. When we opened the front door, all we could say was WOW! The décor is classic and fun. The floor plan is open and airy. Not to mention that it is stocked with so many amenities, we felt at home within minutes. The kids went crazy for all the board games and the Ping Pong table. We spent most of our time having a blast in the pool. Took a ride or two on the Beach Cruisers. If you must go out for drinks, the Riviera is fabulous and you are just a couple minutes from Downtown as well. Honestly we wouldn’t have left the house if it we weren’t celebrating a milestone birthday. There simply is no need. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone who wants an A+ experience in Palm Springs. I’ve found my new “Go To” Palm Springs Rental for a relaxing staycation or another trip with the family!
An absolutely lovely stay. Very well-maintained and tasteful, this re-modelled, open, mid-century house was perfect for my week or so in Palm Springs. Gorgeous pool, spa hot-tub, and a wonderful fire pit were all delightful. It also had a bright, spacious modern kitchen and lots of accessories/amenities, including a ping pong table, bikes and a whole bunch of pool floats. The property manager, Mike, was always available if/when needed, but the home was totally private. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Enjoy your private retreat or explore other local desert activities: Hiking, Golfing, shopping, Wonderful restaurants, Local spas, art/music. Palm Springs is seeing an explosion of new restaurants and shops -- On the north end of town has become a hot spot to see and be seen. Some of our favorites are Trio and Jakes, both offer seating outside, too. The new Workshop restaurant is making waves all over the world for it's stunning international chic decor. Fabulous furniture and shops make it exciting adult entertainment:) The famous Trini Turk boutique and farther down, we love Zin and Lulu's is always a fun Palm Springs vibe. The Happy Hour at Kaiser in the large bar area offers a bargain of wonderful dishes and great deals on drinks. One of our new favs is Tinto at the Saguaro Hotel -- Just divine to sit out under their huge cabana by the pool for delicious morsels to delight the senses. Minutes away from downtown with many wonderful restaurants, shops and galleries. Participate locally: If you arrive by Thursday, the Palm Springs' downtown area 'Village Fest' on Palm Canyon Drive is transformed into a bustling street fair...Artists, craftsmen, food vendors, musicians and entertainers are there to entertain. Stock up on local farm veggies/fruit or enjoy some great people watching. Also experience, on Friday from 4pm to 9pm, 'First Friday On North Palm Canyon' (every month, year-round), between Tachevah and Amado Road, featuring entertainment, food and fun, where more than 50 antique furnishings and art stores remain open into the late evening. * Local Area activities: Palm Springs' Aerial Tram, Jeep Tours, Water Park, Spa Facilities, Galleries, Museums, Theaters, IMAX. * Nearby: Joshua Tree National Monument, Cabazon Outlet Mall. * Two hours to: Orange County (Disneyland, Universal Studios and beaches), San Diego (Zoos, Sea World, Legoland), Lake Arrowhead (sightseeing and shopping), or Big Bear (skiing). Hike: Miles of hiking trails are within a 1/4-mile walking distance from the house and there are trails with mountain access at the wash at the end of our cul de sac. Great hiking trails include: Palm Canyon, Murray Canyon, Tahquitz Canyon and multiple trails off the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Also stroll through Moorten's Botanical Garden less than a 1/4-mile from the property. For Tennis enthusiasts, nearby Ruth Hardy Park has 8 courts in prime condition. No charge for use of the courts to play.
