This Beautiful Home was built in 2012. It sits on almost 5 acres of land and over 225 ft of private sandy beach with beautiful views of Copper Island. The home is 1200 square feet; 2 bedrooms(queen beds) on main floor and a loft(1 queen) which sleeps 5-6; 2 bathrooms and a shower in the main house and 2 more bathrooms in the laundry house with a shower. Brand new stainless steel appliances, Flat screen TV, WiFi internet. The deck is over 600 square feet with breathtaking views of Scotch Creek and Copper Island. The Dock is almost 100 feet long and has a non-slip plastic material. Please note - PRICE PER NIGHT IS IN US DOLLARS BUT SHOULD BE CONVERTED TO CANADIAN DOLLARS WHICH IS C$550 A NIGHT.

Million Dollar View
Our family rented this million dollar view in blind bay right across from Copper Island. Igor and Trisha were fantastic friendly and very accommodating. Igor offered to drive from Vernon when our lock broke on our trailer to assist us. The house was fully equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed the paddle board and was grateful for the Kayak to get to our Pontoon boat that was tied to a supply buoy. Bring your boat so worth it. The dock was perfect for us to load and unload my grandbaby:)
My favourite part was the morning coffee on the large deck with brand new comfortable patio furniture. The house is beautiful with an open concept layout and a extra shower and laundry facility outside.
We were close to a lot of amenities Finz Restaurant, the quaint village grocery store ( best ice cream) . Shuswap Golf and Salmon Arms golf this was important to us golfers. The only problem was the narrow steep driveway, Igor was very upfront with us and we unhooked our boat and seadoo just inside of the entrance where they have a large leveled area to put our trailers. We had no issues getting in and out with our trucks. We would definitely rent this home again. Shuswap is our yearly vacation.
Great lake property with gorgeous views
This property is beautiful. The owners have done a wonderful job trying to make this home feel comfortable. It is very clean. The kitchen has excellent supplies. There is a great washer dryer. The property is situated right on the lake with a nice beach. There are definitely lots of rocks, but there is sand too. Our three kids loved the beach and the dock. The owners have also supplied a paddle board and a kayak for use. Remember to bring your own life jackets. There is a bouy and we were able to rent a boat and safely leave it attached here each night. The deck has shade at all times of the day as well as sun! There is nice patio furniture and we ate most meals outside.
The owners themselves were very responsive and kind. I think they truly want you to have an enjoyable time in their property and have worked hard to maintain it. They were accessible anytime we had questions which was great.
The only challenge was the steep driveway, you do have to be careful ! There isn't a green space to play for kids, but very near by we found great parks for the kids to run when they needed an escape from the beach. Grocery stores and anything you might need is very close by.
Overall excellent experience, we hope to be able to return!
Great Water Front Home In Blind Bay
Great water front property with beautiful views of Copper Island! The best part of the cabin is that you can be in the sun or shade all day on the upper deck ( great for small kids ) The inside of the cabin has everything you need and is very clean and new. The deck has a patio set and a comfortable sitting area for a glass of red at night or coffee in the morning. Anyone looking for a perfect place to kick up your feet and relax...this is it!! Both Tricia and Igor are very friendly and are a call away if anything is needed. We hope to be back with our family soon!
Amazing view, Great owners
Great property with a million dollar view. Owners were very helpful when we had a little trouble getting out of driveway. The lake is beautiful and the private beach, dock and deck were great for relaxing. They have a kayak for use as well.
Beautiful private setting with new home amenities
Our family of 4 stayed at this property for 4 nights during the first week of August, 2015.
- The owners were very easy to deal with and responded quickly.
- The owners are very protective of the house which is understandable considering the quality of the property.
- The house is a new construction built only a few years ago.
- Very clean.
- Great tile, appliances, fit and fixtures.
- Amazing deck with even better views of the water.
- Big lot, great privacy from neighbours on both sides.
- Easy access to dock with mooring buoy (bring your boat).
- Nice beach area.
- Close access to Blind Bay (very short drive, not within walking distance).
Cons (not many):
- Road to enter the property is rough and steep.
- Furniture in living room could be a bit more comfortable.
- The 'A' frame style house does not provide a lot of privacy when the kids go to bed.
- The upper bunk in the loft is close to the ceiling (our 11 year old daughter knocked her head repeatedly).
- Single tub/shower in the ensuite off the master bedroom only.
Summary: Great property for a family of 3 or 4. Wonderful setting right on the water. The 180 degree view is worth the price. Stunning to wake up in the morning and have your coffee on the deck. Looks right out to Copper Island. Strongly recommended.
Don't stay here - Owners spy on guests with security cameras!!!
Found out about the cameras four days before we were due to arrive. Would never have rented the property had we known. Tried to make the best of the situation but were accused of "tampering" with the security system when the power cord was accidentally unplugged. We were never told about the terrible condition of the driveway into the property. It's really steep and very bumpy. Good thing we have a 4-wheel drive truck, our daughter's car got stuck trying to go up the hill. Don't plan on having any visitors if you stay at this place. We had to ask permission for my husband's sisters to come and visit! They came over in the middle of the afternoon sat on the beach, went for a swim and a boat ride and left. We didn't make any noise, everyone is middle aged, not like we had a wild party, everyone was gone home by 4pm! One of them accidentally brought a small dog with them not knowing pets were not allowed. Right away I got an email from the owners. It was pretty obvious they were watching us on the security cameras, creepy!! They kept trying to say their 96 year old neighbour was complaining but there is no way you could see or hear anything from that house and we never once saw a person outside. When I told the owners that the tap in the master en suite shower kept falling off we were accused of tampering with it with a screwdriver. Every time we tried to use the a/c upstairs it would blow the breaker if the lights were turned on. Went to use the kettle in the kitchen and it was mouldy. The house is fairly new and has a nice deck. The beds were uncomfortable. The property is not landscaped at all and was kind of junky. There is only one shower in the house and the second shower and laundry are in another building which was dirty, dingy and smelly. Despite the fact we got permission to have visitors we were told that we "violated" the rental agreement. My husband and I have rented condos in Maui for many years and have never had an experience as unpleasant as this one. The landlords seem to care more about their neighbour than they do about their guests. We found the constant emails harassing and whole experience ruined our vacation. Would not recommend this rental to anyone.

I checked and the lights were not on. It was unplugged so I plugged it back in looks fine now. I think I must have accidentally done that this afternoon when I was getting the vacuum out. It was tangled up in the cords in the closet. Sorry about that.
We are having a great time. The house is wonderful. So nice to sit out on the deck and enjoy the view.

As the saying goes there are 2 sides to every story. The family was coming to the area for a reunion. We hesitated to rent to them because we have a policy of 6 people only on the premises. She had assured me that there would only be 6 people staying at the house and then 2 visitors . We were very distressed to hear that the 6 plus 2 turned into just under 20 people. A complete violation of our rental contract and agreement. We also have a very strict No pets policy and were surprised to hear that there was a dog on the property- another breach of the contract. We should have asked them to leave - right then and there. Our child is a severe asthmatic and the renter did not have any regard for our rules. As for the air conditioners - we have notes on all the air conditioners that they should only be run at night due to electrical overload. The cameras are on the property for security purposes, and are only on the exterior of the cabin. We are a very busy family of 5, also on holidays, and do not have time to sit around looking at cameras. These days all hotels have cameras for the same reasons. It is our experience that you only have problems with the cameras if you have something to hide.
We have rented this property for many years and have never had any complaints or issues.
We feel that they were not honest about their intentions from the beginning.
We did mention the cameras before they got there and they did not have any issues with them. We also stressed to them that if they had any problems to please give us a call, so we can fix them. We cannot fix any problems after the fact. We did not hear anything from the renter, until the evening before they checked out. There are bad apples in every bunch. We would be happy to provide rental references. In the meantime, we will be speaking with a lawyer to see if we can proceed with legal action. We have never had any complaints about the mattresses, this property is a beach house not a five star resort.
